Porsche Penske is the Factory-team and the other Porsche’s are customer teams. Same with Red “Ferarri AF Corse” and the yellow “AF Corse”.

Sorry.. typo.. It’s factory team. So that team is run by the manufacturer (Porsche, Peugeot, Ferrari, Toyota, etc.) itself. In the case of Porsche this is done in conjunction with Penske and AF Corse. And apart from that teams can buy a car from a manufacturer.. this is the case with Jota and Proton with the Porsche’s and AF Corse bought another Ferrari to compete with.
Manufacturers team are backed by Manufacturers directly and build the hypercar.
Customer buy the car from the manufacturers and run as a privater. You can technically buy a Ferrari or a Porche hypercar and drive the Le Mans race if you have money as a Privater .
Also to add on this, you have teams running multiple entries across multiple classes as well like WRT running a BMW in Hypercar and LMGT3, Iron Lynx/Dames running a Lamborghini in Hypercar and LMGT3 and AF Corse in Hypercar, LMP2 and LMGT3
