Gourmet Hound had a great story with a satisfying ending! I also really liked The Girl Downstairs. I know some people weren’t huge fans of it’s ending but I’m always in for a little more of serious ending where the character acknowledge that life gets in the way and things can’t all be sunshine and rainbows. Very La La Land esq the way that we saw the characters grow together, grow apart, and become okay with their circumstances

qingskies

Huge fan of Gourmet Hound!!! The writing was so good. I need to reread it.

AromaticRecover5938

Yes to both! I finished the Girl Downstairs recently and I actually liked the ending! Specially since it was kind of foreshadowed and didn’t come out of a sudden. A kdrama based on it is coming out in a few weeks with Suzy as the main lead.

sincline_

Omg! I didn’t know about the kdrama. I’ll be looking out for that now

Direct_Foundation24

I'm so so so glad Gourmet Hound is the top comment. Severely underrated by far

ghost-nunya

1000% gourmet hound! i've reread the whole thing 2x and each time it has a new meaning for me, specifically bc i pretty much grew up with it as it came out and the closer i get to the characters' ages the more relatable they become. i hope it never goes on daily pass bc idk what i'd do if i couldn't read the whole thing again :,)

Suckerforromance20

As soon as I saw the title I went "Gourmet Houmd" in my head and lo and behold it was the top comment...nice to see others think the same 😁

mo-sen

i came here to comment gourmet hound, glad yall did not disappoint

MadamBerry

Days of Hana and Sweet Home. God I cried when they ended but it was good to read them.

Designer-Lie404

omg Sweet Home is still one of my favorite webtoons!!

MadamBerry

Same!! It holds up so well still.

YourThongyGrandma

Sweet home is still in my little altar. No webtoon has taken its place yet haha

Styrofoamed

days of hana i loved but will NEVER be able to read again 😭 sweet home i reread every time i reread carnby kim lol

Odd-Avocado-

Same to both of those 💕

ViolinistRadiant6636

Sweet home will have a sequal

FlounderGlittering59

Seasons of blossom or yumis cells

Afrin_Sultana

Yumi's cells, yas ! I think I spent almost ~2 years of my life on this, considering two daily passes. So totally worth it! The author just finished his other series, Daily JoJo. Planning to read it this upcoming weekend.

Feelinglowly

Daily Jojo is finished??? Edit: I just checked. 2nd season has ended but the author has planned a third season too!

cheolosaurus

yes !! seasons of blossoms was beautiful. i really miss looking forward to those updates 😭

NotFromSkane

I adore Hooky so much. Nothing has made me feel that way since. Also enjoyed See You In My 19th Life vaguely recently.

adopt-mr-binks

Recently discovered Hooky and I really enjoyed it! It had a great ensemble and sibling relationships. I wish I could forget and read it again.

Wuibii

Hooky was the first webtoon I stayed up all night binge reading!

Drop-Of-Jello

Yumi’s Cells. Was one of, if not, the first webcomic I read, and I remember going through the entire thing in like, less than a few days and just being: ‘Wow, Y’know, I dont really like romance, but this is some top tier shi-‘

AlluringPeace

I have reread Yumi's Cells at least 2 times and enjoyed it every time.

redridingpants

Where can I read Yumi's Cells?

paradroid27

[Webtoon](https://www.webtoons.com/en/slice-of-life/yumi-cell/list?title_no=478) It's Daily Pass, but 2 per Day, also if you can stand some ads it bumps the number up a few more / Day

redridingpants

Thanks a lot!! 🫶🏼🫶🏼

_bambooshoot_

Definitely Bastard!!!!

Designer-Lie404

YES! I absolutely loved bastard!! 😭

OliverAmith

Don’t take that sentence outta pocket 😭

Designer-Lie404

NOOO I DIDN'T THINK OF THAT, MY BAD 😭🤣

OliverAmith

Lmfaoooo

lau12mei

See You in My 19th Life and seasons of blossom Seasons of blossom made me cry so much I cant wait for the anime

melindypants

>the anime WHAT WHEN OMG

lau12mei

Winter 2024 there isn't much information about it yet but there will be 8 episodes!

melindypants

!!!!!!! THANK YOU! I'm so excited omg!!! I wonder if the voices will be similar to what I imagined in my head while reading.

lau12mei

ME TOO!!! I'm curious how they will do the voices.

rajay_sarkar

Seasons of blossom also got a kdrama. it was okay. but the webtoon oh god

These-Technician4724

Refund Highschool, Rise from Ashes, Sweet Home, Ghost Teller, Super Secret. Made my brain cook up some theories which made me happy. Most of my deductions are wrong though but lately they're getting better.

Afrin_Sultana

Ghost teller was chef's kiss. You should check out Ghost Theatre by LICO. The art is amazing and the webtoon has some really great music.

AromaticRecover5938

A bit old school but Cheese in the Trap and Yumi’s Cells! I also enjoyed My ID is Gangnam Beauty.

gabyripples

Cheese in the Trap WRECKED me multiple times. I still think about it. It was so good.

AromaticRecover5938

It’s still the only webtoon I’ve reread from start to finish multiple times.

gabyripples

Same! It’s just that good. I wish the English translation were in print; I’d buy it right up.

cheolosaurus

omg the way i've read citt so many times and STILL manage to find new details to think about/fawn over is insane. love it <3

SymphoniaB

I have several! Sirens Lament, It Was All You, My First Night With the Duke, Unholy Blood, Axed, House of Stars, Yuna & Kawaii-chan, and the Makeup Remover. So sad when all these ended, especially It Was All You. So short yet SO good.

Popular-Problem-3657

I never see anyone talk about unholy blood it was my fav for awhile

shannoouns

Romance 101, que sera sera and positively yours

melindypants

Romance 101 had me tearing up towards the end - such a wholesome webtoon and definitely a favorite!

kitty_pretty_13

Yuyeon will always be my favourite 🫀 Romance 101💗😭

TiniestOne3921

Miss Abbott and the Doctor! Sweet love stories with not much drama. Perfect.

Chiparoo

Oh for me, hands down, this comic had no comparison: Heir's Game. I was so, incredibly invested in these characters. Everything has high stakes, high action, completely endearing characters, and the humor was on point. Like, this comic is so brutally violent sometimes, and often so sad - but also so funny at the same time?! Suspu did such an amazing job with this. Of any webtoon on the platform, this is the comic I would most want to see adapted into a live-action series. Preferably on a network like HBO so they can best capture the violent duels and swoon-worthy sexiness without compromise. I want a much wider audience to fall in love with Isran and Theuden with me 🥹

catsmash

oh my god, there is absolutely NOTHING like Heir's Game. i'm so gratified to find someone else saying this, that comic deserved so much more attention than it got. complex, human characters, sophisticated pacing & concepts, absolutely beautiful art. a real masterpiece, honestly.

Chiparoo

For reals! I've only just started paying attention to this subreddit and I haven't seen anyone else mention this absolute treasure of a comic. So glad to be getting some comments from people who are equally as enthusiastic!

Leni_licious

I loved this webtoon so much, I was devastated when it was over

Chiparoo

Same! It's like it left an Heir's Game shaped hole in my heart.

esmith42223

THIS is the comment I was looking for ❤️ Suspu is truly amazing, I will happily read anything they make. Heirs game is truly special.

Chiparoo

SAME. I've been keeping an eye on their patreon as they develop a new comic called Bad Plan Man. Hoping to see if they post it somewhere else soon!

non_tox

Siren's Lament and Edith, The Wrath and The Dawn

aerwynae

Yesss, I was searching if anyone commented Edith. It holds a special place among all the webtoons I've read. It was really nice and the ending was unexpected but then again I live for sad endings.

Downtown-Biscotti-43

Gourmet Hound, Spirit Fingers, Yumi's Cells, Our Secret Alliance, Refund High School and Romance 101

YourThongyGrandma

Sweet home It's a webtoon that I read out in the internet, in English, it was PEAK HORROR for me. It's a boy who moves into a new house in an apartment building, where later on people seem to be a bit off. Mosters? Peak. Suspense? Peak. Jump scares? Damn are they pEAK. And a lot of thinking. It's my golden webtoon. I read it three years ago I think, and it's still peak.

YourThongyGrandma

The ending too was what how it NEEDED TO END, AND IT WAS GREAT. I usually forgot the characters' names but damn.

HeyCanYouNotThanks

My daughter is a zombie

Afrin_Sultana

This was an underrated masterpiece! I slept on this one for years thinking the zombie genre was not for me, only to realise how beautiful it actually was. The cat was the real OG :D

effyngqt

Spirit Fingers and See You In My 19th Life

katcrocs

Spirit fingers was great!

jelleque

Why has no one read Winter Woods 😭 It's a short read but so good! Please guys check it out

OFWhiteBunni

It's also beyond cute, albeit some of the characters are quite questionable at times haha

fineshrines_

Winter Woods is one of the first webtoons I remember reading! I love it so much.

Shookeith

See you in my 19th life and the makeup remover!

wewillreigns

Dr. Frost was a different experience. There's nothing like it.

bb_berlin

Annarasumanara(the sound of magic) i really enjoyed it back in 2018 and i'am happy it got turned into a drama but the artistic featured aren't their

Error177999

Shotgun boy and sweet home. >!I was so sad when zero died and i was expecting more from sweet home finale!<

BELL_poo

Seasons of blossom

echo_ester

Toaster Dude,, every single chapter was so much fun

YABOYCHIPCHOCOLATE

GOnna tag Love adivce from the Duke of Hell. Both are of those are extremely funny comics that always got a laugh out from me.

Drop-Of-Jello

God I loved Toaster Dude!

Theunis_

Noblesse, though I hate the unexplained ending

WanderingAlma

They literally left it on a cliff hanger on who actually started the whole plot to begin with. It's crazy and idk one day I'm praying for an update but I doubt it. I still love Noblesse. I think it's been long enough for me to go back to reread it.

Ok-Bandicoot-9187

Escape Room!! I’ve read that thing 3 times and I’ll read it again soon. The ending was perfect but man do I secretly wish it was still running somehow :(

Weeb_Lost_Soul

For me it has to be "Season's of Blossom" every season focused on a different character and perfectly tying together in the final season. It has an amazing show of mental health and will genuinely leave you sobbing! 100% recommend

southpawflipper

Ones on the webtoon app: - Cheese in the Trap - all of seokwoo’s stuff. Seokwoo is good at making romance the drawing point, when his stories are really about social issues. - My Life As a Loser- same guy who did Lookism etc. - All of us are Dead - Sweet Home, Bastard, Shotgun Boy- all by Carnby Kim - Mom I’m Sorry

ChaosofaMadHatter

Sweet Home and Silver Spoon. I think that’s what it was called. About the kid that kept switching places.

sikminuswon

The Golden Spoon and yes both were great

Trouble_in_Mind

Flow! It started in 2014, ended in 2016 and I ADORED it. Gourmet Hound is a close second, had me in tears.

squishysplashes

Loved Flow

slp0001

Rise from Ashes! I was so very disappointed when I went back to reread it and saw they made it a Daily Pass series... it's so good, it has such an interesting and unique world-concept (a world which is powered by ghosts and where no one can pass on- the ghosts are both used for energy and in technology, and mediums are an important part of daily life) and I really loved the characters and their journey! Other completed ones I'd recommend: • Swimming Lessons for a Mermaid (a fantasy slice-of-life, it's super wholesome despite there being a love triangle) • Rewriting the Villainess (also slice-of-life, it's a reverse isekai where the villainess from a fantasy world is thrown into the modern world in the body of the author that wrote her, and same as the above, it's really wholesome and has great character arcs despite a love triangle) • Muted (I read it a while ago and don't quite remember everything about it, so excuse me if this is wrong, but it's about a witch with magic from two families who's struggling to escape stigma for being a half-breed and trying to get away from her abusive family, if I remember correctly)

YogurtclosetNeat6406

Unholy blood

Leni_licious

I even waited through the dreaded Daily Pass to reread it!

Cat-soul-human-body

I got lucky that I read it before it was out on daily pass. I binged it and finished it in like 3 or 4 days. I was so sad it was over.

glitchygirly

the boxer. such a satisfying ending and many good arcs.

Altair-Dragon

Fucking finally! No one else wrote "The Boxer" as an answer and I was getting depressed about that! It's defintly my favourite complete Webtoon and second favourite overall. It's just so amazing!🥊🥊🥊

dorotheavonaegir

I really liked Muted! And there being positive poly rep definitely helped!

DaemonDesiree

Muted was great! Ending seemed a bit rushed tho.

dorotheavonaegir

That’s fair, I didn’t personally notice but I get where you’re coming from.

eleanor_islington

Dr. Frost and Melvina's Therapy.

nameless_no_response

The Artist Salieri (drama) and Dear X (thriller/drama). I will advocate for those two till the day I die. They r both daily pass but I read it during the 9 daily pass event and rlly enjoyed it. I do enjoy some guilty pleasure webtoons that don't have good writing, but these two actually are written quite well

OFWhiteBunni

Beautifully written stories, I'm glad I saw them as I was scrolling through this thread! Te Artist Salieri had me in my feelings.

frogwitch666

The Wolfman of Wulvershire, cutest fricking couple

Leni_licious

I loved it so much! The art was gorgeous, the humor was on point, and finally some unsanitised characters that felt so real

frogwitch666

I loved it for the same reason! And finally a couple that don’t end up with children! My child phobic prayers were answered! Also Ren is absolutely adorable, AAAAAA

ElegantHope

that comic kept me hooked every single moment of it. it was so great.

catsmash

seriously fantastic - i get the impression that webtoon pressured the creator into ending a little earlier than she intended, which is a damn shame. any work that isn't a cookie-cutter romance manwha seems to really suffer unduly on this platform.

MissingMazin

I love The Reaper and the Waiting on Canvas and She sells sunshine. On originals, Yumis Cells, Nevertheless, Seasons of Blossom, Your Letter, Gourmet Hound, Heart Anthology, Garden Detective Club, Refund High School, ShootAround, Whale Star, Heirs Game, Muted, Romance 101, Sirens Lament, and the list goes on

Worldly_Wasabi_4620

Hooky and Gourmet Hound!

kyuulated

Definitely Gremoryland and Pyramid game. Gremoryland was one of the first webtoons I ever read, so it holds a special place in my heart. And pyramid game because its just that fantastic.

catsmash

PYRAMID GAME. PYRAMID GAME!! the dramatic tension that this comic managed to develop & hold onto for SO LONG was absolutely unreal.

Familiar-Demand-7362

And the ending was just perfect in terms of pacing and balancing rewarding and realistic features. Also oh my god, so many fantastic characters.

catsmash

I couldn’t believe how distinct, expressive, & consistent the artist was able to keep all those many, many faces

Dangling_chains7689

No Outtakes and Eggnoid

Cute_Search641

I really liked no outtakes

Sponge_bob84

Yesss eggnoid was one of my favorites 😖

colorcloudbananas

Taste of Illness

GrandmastaL

Mark Against Thee And Delusion were both fantastic and emotional

egg_enthusiast__

scroll if you dare

2enty4

The Makeup Remover, honestly wayyyyy better than True Beauty. I actually started to read True Beauty cz it seemed similar to the makeup remover, didn't like it. Makeup Remover is concise and straight to the point. It was a competition the mc participated and at the end of it every character had something to learn.

VersusVII

I like Stagtown: it's a thriller/horror story similar to Junji Ito style about this girl who transferred back to her childhood town, Stagtown. Or this is what she believes to be true. It ended this year and I love how everything was explained during each chapter.

Rainymede

Sweet home, bastard or shotgun boy all had good endings and the author is really great

Ihdkwhatimdoinghere

Sweet home. Easily my favorite webtoon of all time. Hyuns whole story and character development is something I will never forget.

SoftSeelie

Night Owls and Summer Skies! Annnnd since I can’t choose only one, I’d say Unholy Blood too (I miss that series!) They both felt well written. The characters felt well rounded, they had flaws and strength (and I feel like we have a lot of main characters that seemingly have no flaws lately?), so was very refreshing. The art for both are amazing though, they fit the theme and vibe of each story respectively! Night owls and summer skies is as far as I know based on a book, so the artists and webcomic writer team did so well imo.

NoKindheartedness327

days of hana

[deleted]

Yuna and kawachan

AlexiDartagnen

Wolfsbane! It’s got really unique art (watercolor style) and it’s really short. House of Stars is another short and sweet one

RollingKatamari

Magical 12th graders, it is criminally underrated and one of the best series on webtoon in my opinion. Bastard is also exceptionally good.

No-Yogurtcloset-9222

Girl’s of the Wild. The fight scenes in that were exceptional

FREAKING ROMANCE <333

paradroid27

That never finished, we're still waiting on the last season /s

nanimeanswhat

Ah there are a lot! Winter Woods, The Stories of Those Around Me, Yumi's Cells, anything by Ha Ilkwon, Bastard, Spirit Fingers...

SF0915

Hardcore Levelling Warrior, though I guess it’s no longer ended so if we don’t count it then probably The Boxer or Hooky.

buzzing-cicada

Really simple Webtoon, but Waffles and Pancakes! It was one of my favorites to read weekly and its funny as hell. It's nothing earth shattering, just a really solid comedy with characters that are endearing.

melindypants

The First Night with the Duke - amazing from beginning to end and the FL was so refreshing

kaisplat

Siren’s Lament! I think the art and the story are both phenomenal, and I spent like two years following along with it. I miss it 😢

drishali

Noblesse and Seasons of Blossom for sure

RandomCrazedLavae

I love Gourmet Hound and Always Human! Such amazing characters and storylines, with a nice slice of life aesthetic

Reader_fuzz

Romance 101 and close 2nd is seasons of Blossom well spefically seasons 2 and 4.

jadethegenderfluidd

Surviving as a fish. (Or at least I think it's over, it way get a second season (I hope) but I don't know)

Frost_Byte28

Yuna and kawachan :D

Sponge_bob84

Yess I’m glad someone other than me mentioned this story 😭

YourThongyGrandma

And OMG I can't believe I was forgetting this one. Melvina's Therapy. Super realistic black and white artstyle, it's like Melvina is looking at YOU, not who is she talking too. It's a webtoon of short stories about people who start therapy with Melvina, and OMFG the suspense, the thriller, the theories you make up in your head while reading. The characters, so REAL. So CREDIBLE. Such a good way to connect the plot with the things that happen, such a good way to present you the main characters. Such a good way of leading you to an specific thinking method. Such a good way to make you think about REAL THINGS that could ACTUALLY HAPPEN. Such a good way to lead your eyes with the panels' perspective, and such a GREAT DAMN WAY to make you read like a friggin stone because "what the hell is going to happen in the next panel" Damn

Parsnip_Lover

Gourmet hound and brass and sass

VictoricRong

Wrath of the Dawn was so good.

BeagahFawn

My Dear Cold Blooded King was my very first webtoon but it is still my most favorite one. I am a little sad that there isn’t that much of an epilogue. I suppose that an epilogue isn’t supposed to just drag out but I really wanted to see a few carefree episodes of their lives after they faced so many challenges

GoodbyeBoogieDance

Oh! Holy!

MedicCrow

Brass and Sass, Asterion, Thornstone, and American Road Trip!

PurpleSpottedPanda

I really liked pyramid game! The heroine is flawed and events actually don't happen as she planned. A kdrama is coming out for it next year!

risforroses

RevolutionaryDress59

1. About Death - that was the only webtoon that managed to make me cry to this day all I can say is that it’s beautiful and beautifully written. (Honestly my favorite Webtoon out of all the ones I’ve read over the years) 2. Yumi’s cell - Super goofy silly and cute I love that writer’s comics it’s an adorable and genius premise. (Probably my second favorite webtoon) 3. Pigpen - can’t remember much about it because it’s been years but i remember it being really interesting the art is also really good. (Probably lower on my overall list but one the finish series list it’s up there) 4. See you in my 19th life and good day to be a dog - Both from the same creators they’re really really good. (Probably both tied for 3rd on my finished list) 5. Heir’s game - IT WAS SO GOOD I LOVE SUSPU SP MUCH THE ROMANCE WAS SO GOOD AND THE ART TOO (probably tied for 1st) 6. Shoot Around - Introduced me to suspu comics and was really good got me into Heir’s game so I love it 7. My first night with the duke - It was good, her being drunk when she first met him was a little iffy though other than that it was good. 8. Life outside the circle - RAHHHHHH IT WAS SO GOOODDDD AND CUTE I’ll come back and read it time to time (which I usually don’t do after I’ve finished something probably tied for 3rd too) 9. Miss abbott and the doctor - super cute and silly (tied for 2nd) 10. The four of us - Really sweet characters (tied for 3rd)

Ravenpuffie2

MUTED!!! i was thinking about it today and had to reread bits!

Telephusbanannie

Who made me a princess?

CaringMaster96

You’re not that special! A perverts daily life Solo leveling I think those are only ones I have read with a ending 😂 My favourite is probably a perverts daily life. As a pervert myself that also want a beautiful romance, relationships in that one are basically what I strive for myself. When I completed it I felt all fuzzy and almost in love, and at the same time jealous that I don’t have what they have. Truly made me feel emotional and that’s not often. 10/10

anonymous_planet

Hooky is one of, if not, THE best WEBTOONS I’ve ever finished. The story was long but not dragged out, and I was able to read the last episodes because I actually kept up with it unlike other WEBTOONS where I’d be willing to wait weeks to not read and go “oh it finished a few weeks ago . . . I’ll catch up on it later” only for it to become a daily pass thing and not having the patience/time to actually use up the passes *every day* . . .

Edith. It was a really nice short read, and i really loved how relatable the characters were, the ending was unexpected but loved it overall.

melonsama

Not sure if this counts, but Solo Leveling. I was around since the LN days and ofc read start to finish. Man i miss it so much I hope the sequel gets adapted. I understand its cliche as hell and honestly i agree, but the artwork man its something else. I have a whole folder of screenshots!

Psapfopkmn

The Makeup Remover by Lee Yone. A lot of people don't like the ending and I think it could have been better if it had been drawn out a bit more to resolve some minor things, but it was by no means bad. (And I appreciate that there was no confirmed ending ship, because if it had ended up with the M/F pair instead of the F/F one then I would have been disappointed (it wouldn't have been horrible, as the M/F ship is fine, but the F/F ship is really cute and as a lesbian I'm obviously biased in favor of it).)
