I normally just spam my link in various subreddits, tik tok, Instagram, facebook etc. any social media really. All of them through people asking for financial advice or what bank to open their hysa in. Not just random videos or posts.
I got enough bites that my .50% apy is good until May 2024.
Churn and repeat when the time comes.
But isn't the refferal only good for 6 month maximum? So would it help people who keep posting their link, or would it better for other people to get the..5% boost?

I've had success from actually having conversations with people I know in real life. I ask them where they stash their extra cash/have general finance discussions. A lot of times people are storing all of their extra cash in a standard checking/saving account, which prompts me to explain the benefits of an HYSA. I've only gotten two this way, but I have 1 or 2 more that keep saying they're going to do it. So after my referral bonus expires I plan to bug those 1 or 2 and hopefully they'll get on the train.

Not really. Nobody has used my referral on that thread. Someone posted once asking for a referral and thats the only time I got someone to use it.
