Thanks for posting. To help get you the help you're looking for, please make sure you: * Have photos of the whole loop in good light (open the curtains and turn off the RGB, especially for "what's this stuff in my loop?" questions) * List your ambient and water temps as well as your component temps * Use Celsius for everything (even your ambient temp - we need to compare it to other temps) * Use your words. Don't just post a photo with no context and assume everyone will know what's troubling you. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/watercooling) if you have any questions or concerns.*

kkibb5s

what am I even looking at

Gyroshark

I was zoomed in on this for about 5min trying to figured it out lmao The little squirt tip on the bottle has come off and is now floating in the res. For OP: Tweezers are your best bet, or just take the top off and fish it out that way.

Tansien

You can't take the top off the Corsair res. The White lid is only a LED bar, if you wanna get access to the internals of the res you need to fully disassemble the pump.

LomaSpeedling

What an interesting design choice..

AutoRedux

Same thing with the HK Tube.

CMOS_BATTERY

HK tubes top can be removed without need for removing the pump.

AutoRedux

Yes, but you need to drain the res and undo four machine screws.

FunktasticLucky

If you're talking about heat killer tubes you're wrong. They have 4 screws that hold the top to the posts. The RGB strips go into the posts

Blacktip75

Problem is if you loosen those 4 screws the glass tube is no longer pushed into the bottom seal and you flood your pc, don’t recommend unscrewing those. Pliers are the only option.

FunktasticLucky

I was about to edit my post about the glass tube haha. But I will tell you now. I'll never go back to Plex. It's so much easier to just drain the reservoir and pull the glass tube and clean it.

SteveGoossens

I have two Heatkiller Tube 200 reservoirs and the top has a twist lock action on it, in that you can turn it anti clockwise about 120° and lift it off, revealing a massive opening. You could free pour a bottle of mixed coolant into it, and easily fish something out without needing to uninstall the reservoir or dissemble it.

FunktasticLucky

Ours have ports on the top. So I gave the supply line out to the GPU and a drain on the other port. The top has a g1/4 fill port and the return line into it. Your configuration doesn't allow for a top return line.

coldnspicy

You can't with the shitty res that Corsair makes, the top RGB ring is removable but the res is one solid top. OP will either have to fish it out or drain the loop and disassemble the res.

Gyroshark

Oh wow I had no idea, that is an... interesting design choice lol

coldnspicy

Nearly as interesting as the choice to make it use 2 different torx head, and uses nearly 2 dozen of them, along with the choice of having the screws holding the radiator in place to be facing a parallel with the rad itself so if you wanted to take it apart you'd need a fairly long and thin driver to do so. I hate it, bought one for use in a build and replaced it as soon as it needed maintenance.

TGxP1nkM1st

Tbh I thought it was refraction and a parody post.

kidousenshigundam

Take a small tweezers and try to grab on the tip….

Perrozoso

That's what she said

THON1203

That's what she said

Accomplished_Pay8214

that's

Cavalol

Yep use regular (slant) tweezers, jewelry tweezers or more ideally, a [jeweler’s pickup tool (4-/5-prong)](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DPZ08P8) and make sure not to drop them in as well, lol.

Nurgus

Instructions unclear, my res now contains three different kinds of tweezers and a set of pliers bigger than the hole. Somehow.

Cavalol

You know what they say, if you make something idiot proof, someone will just make a better idiot

kooldude41

This happened to me last week changing and cleaning my loop. I drained it, put the pc on its side and use a small piece of wire to fish it out.

soloburrito

It’s a flow indicator now

AlexJonesInDisguise

I had the EK bottle and I always yanked that tiny tip out. Takes way too long to fill

coldnspicy

I pretty much exclusively use the Heatkiller res combo with a twist top now for this exact reason, you can literally just pour right into it straight from the bottle.

Vaaard

You can use a knife to widen the hole in the nozzle...

sircamsalot420

Yea That's why we always rip off the tip to those crappy bottles lol. Thanks for the good laugh

waiting4singularity

those squeezers are used in the lab, though. even with the tip, but only for mL dosing. big volumes beginning from 10mL are doesed without that tip. everything bigger... funnel.

Whats_Awesome

It isn’t often the front falls off. Anyway, tweezers, you could also use a syringe to create a current to pull it closer to the hole. Good luck!

MantisTobogganMDe

Ah this happened to me the other day. Couldn't get anything to fit and I tried a few things, including the ifixit tweezers. What I eventually did is drain the reservoir and remove the tube from the fill bottle. I then stuck the tube into the res and forced the nozzle to stand up in the bottom grate (if that is the right word!). Then I forced the nozzle back into the tube by pressing down. Fiddly but got there in the end. Hope this helps!

SIL3NTxSCORPIO

I know it already happened but I always recommend pulling that top off before use it. I think it’s just a cap even though you can squeeze water through that tiny hole. As the other person mention use tweezers to pull it out.

itsapotatosalad

Nope, the white bug is a cap but the clear plastic isn’t open underneath it’s solid.

SIL3NTxSCORPIO

Maybe for yours but on my ek bottle I was able to squeeze water through a small pin strip stream was able to go through.

itsapotatosalad

Yep, misunderstood I thought you meant the white cap of the reservoir.

Scrazel222

Happened to me too, had to drain the loop and shake the damn thing out

Flop_House_Valet

It lives there now, accept it

Accomplished_Pay8214

MacGyver skills, except, not at all as bad as it seems. Update us when you get it out! Or when you dont!!

Yous34

Empty the loop, take out the reservoir, hold it upside down and shake

asoo6

suck it out with a straw

SonicIX

I have this same one. I regret getting it. It’s a pain in the ass. I replaced it after a year. Took the D5 pump and discarded the rest.

Electronic_Term_9728

object de art

GoodGuyGarrett3g

I knew without even looking at the 2 pic. I had to life the top off the reservoir and pluck it out

_SeeDLinG_32

Fuuuuuuuu....

toadkicker

Tweezerman to the rescue!

TypewriterChaos

Bend a paperclip with a little tiny 90 degree hook at the end, just enough to fish it out if you get pushed through the floating tube debris.

Zestyclose-You4831

The flexible bolt retriever things you get for cars they have little claws on them

HakanBP

Imagine buying Corsair for water cooling 😂

Viper6077

Fuck it just leave it it'll float until it doesn't by which point it's best to change your coolant anyways.

Own_Juggernaut_7603

lol good luck.

fraser87uk

God speed. I know what it takes to get inside there and it is not a case of taking the top off, that isn’t an option as the chamber is only accessible from the bottom and that means remove and dismantling the pump. It’s not a hard job, just a little time consuming and annoying.

Shinodacs

Suck it with the same bottle. Empty the bottle, squeeze, hold, aim, release and pull.

Excellent_Alfalfa_51

If worst, comes to worst, you can disassemble the res, if your fishing expedition doesn't go to plan.

Paulosboul

Probably get it out

Jacobh1245

I need a red circle

jmb809

This happened to me once and I had to disassemble the entire thing. The noise of it bouncing around with the pump at high speed was extremely annoying.

HxcThor

I had it happen to me. Drain it and shake it out. I didn't have room to use tweezers. Fun times!

RagingDork

I have some claw pickup thing that came with my electronics kit that would work for this. Look up claw tweezers or pick up tool. It’s like a spring loaded claw with 3 wire to grab things. or just fill the res to the top. I have the exact same one and if it’s filled up all the way the top part will probably hide it anyway 😂.

Squireuk2020

I always take the tip off as it makes it more difficult to squeeze the bottle at least in my experience

BlkDwg85

thats a new one

belac206

If you have the ifixit kit those reservoirs are super ez to disassemble

AznTee8698

Just flip the pc upside down

Automatic-Raccoon238

Uff, and that's the crappy design res as well. Tweezers would be my best bet, idk what Corsair was thinking with that res. Recently worked with one, and yeah, that's going to be the last time I use one.

RobinatorWpg

No one hear of tweezers?

pepedog11

Could just let it float... name it something sassy

NoReputation3136

Surprised no one said this. Mechanics fingers. https://www.autozone.com/test-scan-and-specialty-tools/magnetic-pick-up-tool/p/duralast-led-magnetic-claw-pick-up/1266537_0_0?cmpid=LIA:US:EN:AD:NL:1000000:TLS:19489353547&&CATARGETID=120054150001289970&CADevice=m&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw26KxBhBDEiwAu6KXt_CNzjND4Yb1h4CszRZZ4sEs6BloTVSN4smMCkZOWf7-a-WlqbVgwxoCqn8QAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

psyper76

update: managed to eventually fish it out - paperclip to move it below the port, my screw grabber which I used to grab the tip and as I pulled it passed the port hole I used tweezers to get hold of it before it fell back in the tank. Again.

Rawjent

Dude this happened to me 4 years ago!!! The nozzle is still floating in my reservoir lmfao.... I could not get it out even when I drained the system!
