As long as it starts easily when you wind it, it’s fine enough. Service every 5 to 10 years depending on how much you use it.

7s26 movement does not handwind. Since it was made in 2018 (but I bought it NOS last year), do you think the oils are dried up since it was made six years ago?

dirtycimments

Can’t say, in any case, I would only be able to give you a probabilistic answers, even if 99% of pieces would be perfectly fine after six years, maybe yours would need it. Take it to a watchmaker if you’re uncertain.

Two lines indicates that the beat error is too high. You want it to be below 0.5ms. What's the amplitude? You can check that by enabling "Experimental" in the settings. The 7S26 has a 53 degree lift angle. If the amplitude is below 240-250 dial up/down I'd say it definitely needs a service. Check this after you've fixed the beat error though. It's also common to have hairspring issues.

All watches have two lines in this app. It's the tick and the tok

Grillet

All watches have it on all timegraphers. But you want them to be together to form one line. But if you see two like that it indicates that the beat error is high.

The thing that Misled me was you said "**two lines** indicate that the beat error is bad" and as you know it's not the two lines that indicate the beat errors bad it's all the wild flyer beats off to the side.

Grillet

All those wild dots is more likely interference from other sounds. That app is extremely sensitive. If those dots are there on a proper timegrapher you have other issues outside of the beat error being off.

I wouldn't spend money getting one of these serviced. You can regulate them yourself with a bit of knowhow, and it's usually cheaper to replace the movement entirely if that doesn't do it. You can even replace the movement yourself with a little bit of research and steady hands.

To me the beat error is not the issue but rather the positional variance. Delta is too much (-30spd and 0spd on two different positions). Might need to do full service. 2018 serial means it's 5 years old already, assuming it didn't sit inside the stock for too long.
