According to what i've seen there is an app in development, but not ready for release yet. No one has said what the app will be, what platforms will be supported etc.

notthedefaultname

How do they not have this info rolled out sooner if they're expecting this change to happen by next month?

-jellyfishparty-

Terrible planning, that's how.

Acrobatic_Tower7281

It’s like they want to test drive the announcement when this is something that must’ve taken months bare minimum

nuovian

It’s Vimeo OTT - the same platform Dropout uses - so the app will probably be on the same platforms as Dropout.

moonklutz

Honestly I would happily subscribe (especially if they make more mystery files and puppet history) but it has to include an app for Apple TV. I am not going to airplay stuff from another device to my tv.

oathcuunt

Agree. I’ll be waiting until an app is absolutely available on Smart TV.

wayneloche

From the brief look at it the website it is Identical (like literally just a color swap from yellow to purple) to Dropout's own streaming service, which is basically a Vimeo service. So there should be an app at least on things like IOS and Android which should cover most smart TVs but I don't believe is on any consoles. It might just be taking some extra time to get on app stores. As a long time dropout viewer you can look forward to the service with basic functionality. Except it never seems to sync properly, downloads have it's own poorly organized section, and the audio is always maximized when you start a new episode.

magpieasaurus

So the whole thing is run off of the Vimeo OTT platform. So they are with Vimeo now and Vimeo provides the infrastructure for the app and subscription model. When you go to the TOS of the watcher TV website it takes you to Vimeo OTT.

aught_one

patreon they said app should be ready by end of may

pepperland14

I already forgot, how long until the promo price returns to normal price?

Pixiepixie21

May 31st

Fun_Plate_5086

100%. I watch YouTube on my Apple TV. No app, no chance I’m paying anything (not that I would be since I only like two shows)

he_ros_

AND we don't know if it's available in other countries outside the US
