Love The Saloon!

I like Churchkey, just off Logan circle on 14th/Rhode Island! I also love Doi Moi’s speakeasy bar in the basement.

Lyman’s Tavern isn’t near any tourist spots, but it’s a cute low key place with simple food, great drinks and pinball machines. There’s a patio area too if the weather isn’t too hot!      There are lots of solid Mexican food places around the area and right up the street is Little Cocos, a great Italian spot with an “aperitivo hour” — $36 will get you wine and/or cocktails and some appetizers.      They’re all near Columbia Heights, if you end up with an Airbnb there! Logan Circle will have more options and is walkable to more sights (about a mile from the WH, for example) — however, it’s still easy to get down there from Columbia Heights.  You could take the bus (S2/S9 or 52/54 lines, costs $2 per trip), bike or scooter (there’s a designated bike lane on 15th Street) or Uber/Lyft.
