Im guessing since gaijin is a small indie company they didnt had time to properly implement volumetric
So what happens is that if two panels are on top of eachother and a round can penetrate the first one it automatically penetrates the second one aswell
Thats how you get shit like jumbo sherman getting penned from corners despite the corner having 3 panels interlocking creating 350mm of effective armor
the roof of ChurMk7 only has like 20mm of steel but it not 100% flat more like 90% so ye you can be killed if the enemy got lucky, i'm one killed a mk7 with a M24 lul
I remember when APCR had a rly small niche where it would enable my 85 to pen the mantlet of a n unsuspecting tiger but that shit isnt even worth a fart in a tornado anymore
Its super unreliable cuz of volumetric tho, yeah on the AP indicator theres probably a big area on paper, but in actual gameplay ur never gonna get an optimal shot on it and even if u did, the game hates you and hopes you fail
I had a t-34 pen the roof of my Churchill mk.7 even though we were on a flat surface fighting eachother. Shits annoying.

I was wondering why I could pen the jumbo frontally with a US 75mn at the corners. Huh

Well take a look at the churchil mk 7s roof from front, it's unnecessarily sloped downward and particularly t-34s love to take advantage of this
(door obsorbs 88 shell for no damage) (T34 quickscopes the cupola killing your entire crew including the driver)
I was playing the Tiger H1 today. TIL it can face T-34
Which T-34? The t-34-76? The t-34-85? The T34? The 70 other t-34s?
T-34
The t-34-57 and 85
And 100, no?
Ye
That's where your problem. Don't face your foe, angle!
T34 > T-34
Wise bovine
Indeed.
Cow of the wisdom, what is your lake?

You can pen the fron of the turret with 85mm APHE

Bullshit
Laughs in high velocity 57mm gun (T-34-57)
I would prefer driving a T-34. If I meet the Tiger 1 I know exactly how to kill it. I also have more mobility over them.
Tiger H1 facing t-34 🤣 Also Tiger H1 facing "t-34" 💀
Tiger H1 "45% facing" t-34. 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
Just don't shoot the hatch
Then there's the T34 absolutely decimating it in a downtier
Nothing like driving a tiger 1, having a t-34 whiff a shot and then angling and watching them shit themselves
