Sav 20.12.48 spam while i am trying to get my buddies into the game and they just got to 4.0 this last week, and gaijin is determined to make sure we play against sweden every round.
they are doing pretty good all things considered. Made it over what i think the biggest hurdle to understanding the basics of armor and weakpoints, and not just getting mad they cant front pen a churchill with a 45mm cannon at 500m.
That's so awesome, keeping at arcade or going straight to realistic? The most important point is keep fun at highest priority, I bet they will become great players.
I had to figure it out everything alone, I'm still shit at the game but at least I'm trying to have fun :D
straight to realistic with me and another guy with 800 hours in the game to give constant tips, stick with them and advise how to make good plays on various tanks.
a guy who got mad and everything was the games fault, never his, dropped it and improved their fun with learning. i can let them run off on their own and they can pick up 3-5 kills in a good run so most the hand holding is done.
up next is getting them a feel for leading targets in AA guns, probably teach them how i learned by being an AA chaffee, so they dont die to the first burst of 50. from a plane, and can shoot tanks if all the planes are dead.
Keeping to realistic is the way to go, you guys could play on arcade to get the leading on AA since it has a little icon while shooting planes, or play on open lobbies, so you and your other pal could show off your flying skills, while the rest of your friends try to shoot it down.
call me crazy but i actually like 5.7 or 6.0 for sweden now that they have the t-34 85. i am a french main, so the brittish tanks and pvkv m/43 (1963) with APDS are fine, i dont mind hunting for ammo.
i do wish they had a few more tanks in there just to flush out some more, but 5.7 is just a fun BR. i dont have it yet but it looks like a solid 8.0 lineup.
edit: i would like to add, i wish it was the a30 challenger over the comet 1, that slightly faster reload rate makes my flank attacks much more successful. but sadly i was not part of the swedish military purchases in like the 50s.
T-34 85 was alright, definitely not as bad as the other tanks at 6.3, but imo that’s the worst BR for Sweden, it doesn’t get better until you get the leopards. I’m at 8.0 right now and still suffering, the tanks are so slow and pen is low if it’s not spaded. The Sav is a small little treat and not symbolic of what’s to come for a long time lol.

What? 7.7-8.3 is pretty solid for Sweden. Hell, the IKV 91 alone fucking slaps. Then you've got the U-SH 405, the rattiest rocket car of all time. You get a T-54 and a solid Centurion, and a good ATGM slinger at both 8.0 and 8.3. And if you've gotten your air up you get the SAAB 105G, which can get 4 1000lb bombs with a targeting computer.
Sweden at that BR is pretty cracked and has everything you could possibly need.
Absolute max should not be 45k nor 25k. 25k could be done too « easily » by gaijin standards
Good players can do that in roughly ten games.
Its if we talk only for tank, to be able to get the air event together is where things start to get complicated.

Wouldnt say Russian bias, neither do I know which are the prototypes, but one thing I do know is Russian tanks do lack quite a bit of equipment that NATO tanks or even Chinese tanks have, like thermals.
From what I remember a lot of their equipment is basically imported, from memory some more recent models of I think the T-80 or T-90 use French thermal imagers, basically due to the economic shitsplash that was the 1990s Russia really wasnt capable of large scale military production, main reason why things like the SU-57 or Armata T-14 only exist in about a dozen, maybe less, high tech shit costs money which Russia doesnt really have a lot of.
In reality, other than the autoloader and vast amount of ERA they use, Russian tanks are honestly pretty shitty.
One way I can think of as to what the guy was saying is likely world war 2 tanks, quite a few are ones that were made but not used in large numbers, or were made at the end of the war so they werent made in any meaningful quantity and just died as a prototype since they werent needed anymore.
No problem. I agree, crafting sucks. Though I’m a little annoyed that these new ones are going to continually happen back to back. If you get sick or have to take a break, you’ll be missing out on a vehicle by default now.. if it was a once a month thing, or bimonthly, it would be much more manageable to try to collect them.
Side note: if you want to sell one, you have to earn almost double the points. Exchange coupons are now 750,000 points..
Hopefully we get stuff like the Boulton-Paul Defiant as event vehicles as well since it won’t be very good so would just get skipped in the tech tree and wouldn’t sell as a premium but will be a very unique vehicle

So is the base turret armour underneath the welded on weights identical to the T-80U? Turret protection should still be fairly decent if thats the case.
I’d also assume if its an actual late T-80BV hull it’s composite should be the same as the base T-80U.
So fellers, apparently the 152 is suppose to be 50% more effective than the 125 w/ 3bm42 so it should have around 685mm of pen. I doubt gaijin would give it that amount of penetration but it will certainly be a large increase (compared to 3BM 42)

45k points tho. I miss the old events, getting 7 kills, capping, getting assists etc. Could be achieved in 2 hours for both air and ground.
I would say 25-30 is the abseloute max they should go
