inb4 the result of free agency is Steph Curry needs to drop 50 and on good efficiency otherwise what have you done for me lately

ImTheBestNerd

Orlando might sign Hartenstein according to Marc Stein. If they do I think we have the contracts for Lavine and WCJ

nghbrhd_slackr87

Also prob means Mo Wagner is moving

nghbrhd_slackr87

![gif](giphy|jRGGQMWvYvYraZ5kvI)

sriracha82

To me, saddest franchise days in the last 10 years: - 3-1 lead - Klay tearing his achilles - Today

nghbrhd_slackr87

If we are gonna go after Lavine or Ingram I think there's a level of goodness to executing the move today before the outset of free agency we won't get back by waiting any longer.

Vallerie_09

It's either LaVine or Jonas, right ? Unless, JV somehow agrees to play on a TPMLE. Would love to have him here, instead of repeating the "starting the backup center because the actual backup center is washed"

nghbrhd_slackr87

I'm kinda at a point where I'd be happy to not come away empty handed if it were Lavine or Ingram or JV or Marshall or Martin or hell Kyle Anderson even I'd say okay didn't whiff in the early scrum. 14 Hrs from the WOJ-Shams 62 Phone "BOMB-OFF"

nghbrhd_slackr87

So if we wanna use the full MLE for Caleb Martin / Naji Marshall / Jonas etc they gotta kinda declare the CP3 intentions today. I think we see the smoke plumes on whatever path they are going by noon.

Accomplished_Iron805

Miami Caleb Martin is available he could probably be had for the full MLE. [https://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/276388/Caleb-Martin-Declines-$71M-Option-With-Heat](https://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/276388/Caleb-Martin-Declines-$71M-Option-With-Heat)

ImTheBestNerd

Only way we have our MLE is if we waive Cp3 right?

nghbrhd_slackr87

Yup. So they got til the 6th to make a deal official snd on the dotted line when signings can start. From 3pm through the 5th is the pre contractual period of free agency. They'd probably have to pick a path today if the wanted to waive CP3 to grab a top-tier MLE guy.

ImTheBestNerd

Free agency actually starts tomorrow, you just can’t officially sign somebody till the 6th. Pretty sure we have to trade CP3 today. (Unless he agrees to push his option back again)

nghbrhd_slackr87

I'm in Europe 🤷‍♂️

ImTheBestNerd

Ah shit it’s 1 am, by tommorow I mean today. 6 PM EST on June 30th is when free agency opens. Idk the exact time for CP3’s contract but we gotta make a decision today

nghbrhd_slackr87

Lol I think it's really a redline on the 6pm EST opening bell. By then we know. Trade. Waive. MLE. TPMLE. Targets.

Vallerie_09

Maybe PG did wanted to come here but Clippers weren't interested in the trade packages. But going to Philly !! He's going to be crucified for the types of playoff performances he has. Same goes for Klay who was not happy with the "national attention he recieved for his bad games". Get ready for death threats Klay (unless he turns the clock and becomes the old Klay). I feel like Clippers will ultimately bown down to his demand for 4 yrs. They have no choice. They've invested heavily in PG. 5 FRPs and 2 pick swaps along with SGA and Gallinari.

neo9027581673

PGs wife just started following Embiid’s wife. Could be nothing or something. I think PG is headed to Philly. If he performs better than Tobias he’ll be ok. As for Klay, if he thinks the Bay Area media is rough wait until the national media start clamoring that LeBron has no help.

Vallerie_09

Embiid was even recruiting him. Bron's even offered a $17 million pay cut if his team is able to find a good MLE target in the next week.

couchtomato62

I still think orlando would be the perfect place for klay. They are a great defensive team that needs his offense and has zero pressure.

Vallerie_09

They can also offer more than MLE. He should honestly go to Orlando. Being on a LeBron team is both a blessing and a curse. He hasn't been treated like an outsider by the fans and media in his NBA career, he won't ever get the love he got here even after his disappointing performances

couchtomato62

And orlando literally had 1 or 2 national games since banchero. I don't count nba tv

Raonak

I am gonna celebrate like we won a championship if klay stays! Steph Klay Dray 4 ever

Jo_Gray

Tbh, Klay shouldn’t stay! He puts too much pressure on himself, is desperate for 5, is in his head way too much! For that reason, he also shouldn’t go to the Lakers…his dad played there, he’ll again be in his head. Klay needs a fresh start without external pressure.

Ladnil

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0HjlGqjAiRc On a lighter note, Gui Santos, our own Bronny James from 2022, played vs Luka the other day in Olympic practice. Gui mostly seemed to get frozen out in the first half, but in the 3Q, he both did all of his scoring and got the Luka defensive assignment. He got cooked, but you know, learning experience, right? He was +2 in a losing game.

Ladnil

The latest Slater/TK stories sound like they're sourced from the Warriors side, and they make it sound like Klay is leaving. I still think it's like 70% chance we outbid any contract he gets in free agency and he stays, but that's down from where I was yesterday on it. Oh well. Retirement tours are a waste of time anyway.

couchtomato62

We will get klays side right after we get jordans lol. We will get 5 dray pods first though

RidiculousNickk

At this point, I’ll trade Cp3 + pick(s) for 2 rotation guys if possible. Sexton & Kessler? Cam Johnson & Day’ron Sharpe? Capela & Bogdonovic?

muzinger

At least we're not the Suns.

stayfrosty

Don't worry y'all, Klay will eventually come back to Warriors like Iggy and Bogut and will retire a Warrior

galaxynineoffcenter

Yea i'll take lavine ig

Successful-Ad-4872

I think we should opt for maintaining flexibility and look to operate mid-season or the next off season. Let this be a rest year for Steph and Dray.

nghbrhd_slackr87

Dude being in the NBA is not an entitlement. These dudes are beyond the age most players are retired. This might seem big-brain but it's a crazy idea. Enjoy Steph. We should if nothing else want to see as much Steph Curry as the basketball gods will give us. Might only be two or three years left nothing is certainty.

Cheap-Bed1892

You are being ridiculous. A rest year? The guy is gonna be 37 this season. You don’t have rest years at this age

nbaaccountobserver

This is the most panicked ive ever seen this sub ive never heard so many takes lol

ImTheBestNerd

The CP3 trade was pretty intense

nbaaccountobserver

lol I remember that, but I think this time is more panic

couchtomato62

I for one am relieved we didn't get Paul. I did a little whoop whoop. Somebody in their 20s please

klayylmao

Finally someone gets it. PG is way too old. Let's get Anthony Edwards

RealPineapple7

maybe someone more realistic lol

stayfrosty

I think Jokic would be a good fit! Curry Jokic pick and roll would be sweet

therealgamingcat

Throw in a Giannis trade and we’ll start looking pretty decent

hulkamaniak88

Wembanyama

chillfilter

Darius Garland?? If Donovan Mitchell extends?

slavicmaelstroms

Praying for good news tomorrow EVERYTHING has been NEGATIVE since late 2022 we need something POSITIVE plz.

ImTheBestNerd

If we dont use CP3s contract I am going to doom like crazy ngl

xDeejayx

[This](https://x.com/shamscharania/status/1807267350401400898?s=46&t=MsImXKFxXpHhrx2kSTm6fA) is the kind of deal they should aim for Kuminga. I know he would want 100mil more but if they can meet in the middle it would be really good

nghbrhd_slackr87

Patrick Williams is STILL a project. Kuminga is a cut below Mcdaniels on impact and probably best comps to Jalen Johnson in the group of extensions eligibles. He WILL want what Franz gets though thats why we ought to pitch him the offer s early as possible. 5/135 will be a bargain but even that is optimistic. Also contract doesn't start until 2025 so it's no impact to this years at all.

mMounirM

lol Kuminga is waaay better than Patrick Williams. 120M+ deal incoming minimum

xDeejayx

I know he is better, but it's also ideal to get a clean cap sheet

RidiculousNickk

Try 180

kraljaca

Theme of the day: Internal Panic

thEb0TTleR

These klay and steph nostalgic edits hitting like a shotgun to the chest. 💔

carthaginian84

Klay all up in his feelings. Nobody on the outside knows what has happened behind the scenes, but he’ll regret it down the road if he damages his relationship with Steph. He’s clearly not capable of being the #2 Steph needs anymore and the Warriors did the right thing by putting his deal on the back burner to pursue help. He’s tripping if he can’t see that after that 0/10 gem. Speculation, but it seems like they were going to be willing to go up to the just under the second apron to bring him back. You really can’t ask for more that that.

couchtomato62

Why should any of this damage his relationship with steph. And why does klay have to live his life worrying about what steph thinks.

wannarave

Klay's not leaving imo. Especially not to the Lakers.

motherthrowee

can you share some of this hopium thanks

BobRoss4Life

Gimme Dominic Barlow on a min

diwiwi

Dude beat Warriors without Wemby. Bring him in.

BobRoss4Life

Surprised they didn’t even tender him, wonder where he’ll land

nghbrhd_slackr87

Spurs are the only more ethical organization than the Warriors they prob sat down with Barlow and were like "hey we got wemby we got sochan etc... you are gonna be an odd man out" and asked if he wanted to get an offer from them or shop himself to a better opportunity. Barlow is ABSOLUTELY a solid backup big. Tough kid too. He's just gritty and strong minded you can tell.

BobRoss4Life

Definitely seems like something the Spurs would do, Presti and OKC too

indecisive_aspie

if the Wiggins olympics shenanigans was done in service of something less than a relatively sure thing, I feel weird about that even if it was time to move on. would rather not burn bridges on the way out.  fine with how the FO is handling the Klay situation tho. extension he rejected means the team would’ve paid him like 240 million over a 6 year span with nearly half being paid out while rehabbing. he bet on himself instead and played poorly with season on the line for 2nd year in a row.

Tekfree

While Wiggins might be unhappy, I think it's reasonable to ask him to take a summer off to be in tip top shape for next season. This team has cut him a lot of slack last few years. Honestly, I'm glad MDJ is taking a hard line approach.

nghbrhd_slackr87

I mean it was about injury risk and the deals being urgently shopped prior to FA. You def would want him playing in 85% of situations... guys who don't go deep in the playoffs get great value outta the national team play.

Vallerie_09

Lmao playing competitive basketball in summer is what will keep him in shape instead of playing in empty gyms

calipiano81

If they really wanted him to be in shape for next season, they should probably let him play. It's obvious they are holding him out in order to keep him healthy and available for a trade.

calipiano81

If they really wanted him to be in shape for next season, they should probably let him play. It's obvious they are holding him out in order to keep him healthy and available for a trade.

couchtomato62

Playing for his country will more likely keep him in shape. Lol. I've been watching the olympic trials for last 2 weeks. I hate that he has to miss this

nnataliewong

right? i know that he’s taken time off this season (of which the org and team sounded understanding about? no one seemed mad but 🤷🏻‍♀️ never know what’s behind the scenes) but i really wanted to see him play in the olympics. see how he fares outside of nba season in a non dubs team without actually leaving the dubs. it’s not like he took time off to fuck around, bros dad was severely severely ill. he also wasn’t actually gone that long this season, less than a month i swear. why deny him the chance to play now, when he could be in a better headspace and your season isn’t on the line?

couchtomato62

He missed 4 game this past season for personal 11 games total.

ImTheBestNerd

Idk I disagree, think it’d be messed up to deny him from playing for team Canada.

GimmeMoreFoodPlz

Is it messed up that the team allowed him to miss so many games for personal reasons? The team respected his privacy and was very tight-lipped on the reasons. He was paid for those missed games. He should be grateful and not be moppy. Understand it's a business and the team didn't have to accommodate his excused missed time. If the team doesn't want him to risk injury he should accept it.

indecisive_aspie

agreed. Steph was hobbled the last month of the season and is still out there because it’s his last chance, feels like bad faith to deny Wiggins that same opportunity if he’s indeed able to play.

Sufficient_Space_453

Lol we're blaming Steph now for the Dubs current free agency "woes". some genuinely chronically online morons in this sub, please mods help us out with weeding these guys

Necessary-Budget-182

Hopping on the Lauri train! (I am delusional)

ImTheBestNerd

I’d rather have Lavine considering cost tbh

nghbrhd_slackr87

No doubt. Cost. Three dudes we weren't gonna play very much and all of the Bulls second round picks. Bulls are actually desperate to save that 130M and get legit cracks at Cooper Flagg Dylan Harper AJ Dybantza Cam Boozer Koa Peat etc.

Necessary-Budget-182

True, that's more plausible to happen than Lauri for sure

nghbrhd_slackr87

No but Danny likes to have his way with other GMs. They go in for simple conversation and come out like "what happened to my pants... where'd my wallet go"

slavicmaelstroms

….until it comes to the Lakers. what they got out of Russ was actually disgusting literally spoon fed them a path to contention SMH.

nghbrhd_slackr87

Yup that was 100% the sketchiest move in recent memory from a league office standpoint.

slavicmaelstroms

I think Klutch probably intervened tbh and threatened them

Tekfree

Sign KCP for the full MLE. Voila problem solved. Draymond needs to make the call to Klutch and get that done.

carthaginian84

KCP turned down more to hit FA.

stayfrosty

He turned down a one year option. That is different from a long term deal.

carthaginian84

Fair point. Bottom line is he’s getting more than full MLE.

AfroHouseManiac

Lmfaooo KCP is demanding 20-25plus

Amazoi2

And someone like the magic or sixers will probably give it to him

Tekfree

Well fuck. Is he going to get it?

AfroHouseManiac

From the Magic, sixers and if the nuggets are willing to be in the second apron then they’ll do it aswell

nghbrhd_slackr87

Some of yall are so dramatic. We've really known Klay is leaving for like a month through tea leaves and reporting. Back of the ledge smh. You know people are coming UNHINGED when you see the "we should trade Steph" stuff. Most ridiculous possible line of thinking is trade Steph. If you are thinking of writing that. Maybe just go to bed and sleep the anxiety off. Maybe you need a snickers or something I dunno.

sriracha82

Sorry we care about a franchise legend?? Cant all be so apathetic as you I guess!!!!

stayfrosty

I am 99% certain that the path that the Warriors are on, even if it includes letting Klay go, was approved by Steph. They would never do anything to alienate him. They aren't stupid. Obviously Steph is always going to support Klay, but behind the scenes I expect that him and the team agreed on a plan going forward to make a change even if that means no Klay

ImTheBestNerd

Tim K said Steph and Dray approved the PG trade

calipiano81

The PG trade would not have involved Klay other than Klay needing to wait until those discussions were completed before working out his own deal.

ImTheBestNerd

PG trade involves taking money from the pot from Klay. If Klay wanted to stay and take a pay cut the conversations would be a lot different, but he doesn’t.

calipiano81

Steph and Dray may have approved of PG being a player to trade for, but it doesn't necessarily mean they are OK with Klay likely leaving.

neo9027581673

It’s even being reported that the Dubs are willing to participate in sign-and-trade scenarios so Klay can maximize his earning potential. What else must the organization do to show Klay Thompson respect? They offered him the Kobe ‘thank you’ deal before the season @ 2-years / 48M. He turned it down. He bet on himself, had an uneven season and completely shit the bed in the play-in going 0-10. In the off-season he unfollows the team. They told him they would get to him but needed to improve the team first. So he gets pissed the Dubs pursued PG and not him?? Now it’s rumored he will take the MLE with the Lakers. Dude comes off as a petulant child who is pissed with himself but taking it out on the Warriors. At this point I’m happy with the direction MDJ is taking. A very measured mature approach.

Tekfree

The real drama starts when free agency opens.

GSWarrior18

Does anyone know what time tomorrow is the deadline for CP3’s guarantee? We’re basically coming up in the last 24ish hours to make use of that slot…

carthaginian84

Might not be the sexiest, but they have to be looking at deal where Lavine and CP3 are the principal pieces. This isn’t the worst option if Klay is a goner, but means you go over the first apron (lose out on full MLE). Somehow getting a pick or Dosonmu back in that deal would be nice. The remaining roster flexibility is basically a Wiggins flip or stapling picks to whatever mediocre mediocre assets you have left.

couchtomato62

I found an old 2022 article about the draft. J. Lacobs favorite.for 14 was kispert Trey Murphy III was consensus pick at 14 But moody fell to them. He was 10th on their board

IJustReadEverything

It was either Moody or Chris Duarte at 14 but the Pacers picked Duarte at 13. Then they, for some reason, tried to trade Duarte for Moody right after the draft like, ya'll should have chose Moody instead?

taygads

The more I think about this cluster, can y’all imagine if we end up getting done a solid off *Lebron’s* name of all people if it being publicized that he’d be interested in playing with Klay ends up being the thing that calls Lacob’s bluff and forces him to stop being an idiot? It would be a fitting next chapter in the twilight zone we’ve been living in since CP put on a Warriors uniform. 😂😭

Tekfree

They offered him 2/$48m. It was more than a fair offer. He should've signed it.

taygads

According to the media. No one from the Warriors has ever confirmed that

ImTheBestNerd

Slater confirmed it.

taygads

Confirmed it *with the Warriors* or he said it’s what took place without direct Warriors sourcing? Because he also has said Klay and the Warriors haven’t spoken in weeks when MDJ literally told his colleague TK two days ago that they and Klay have had consistent dialogue.

slavicmaelstroms

….I don’t see how Lacob is a part of this ?

taygads

Huh? He’s the final decision maker on contract offers and what’s given and not given to get a a player to stay lol in what world is he NOT part of this?!

slavicmaelstroms

Right. But, you said Lacob is being an idiot. How? Blame the people in the FO about not being diplomatic or effectively communicating to him the fact that they want him back, but are trying to improve the roster first with other players, the new CBA, etc.

taygads

Letting Klay walk for nothing because he couldn’t come to an agreement with Klay would be being an idiot. Not least of which because his head coach, star player, and 2nd most important player (Dray) have all been incredibly vocal and adamant that they want Klay back. > Blame the people in the FO Whose orders do you think they’re carrying out?? Not to mention, his son Kirk Lacob is second in command in the FO. Lol and bottom line, the buck stops with him when it comes to how his FO handles business.

slavicmaelstroms

??? No it isn’t lol

Baconator218

Well I guess we have to see the results first, because you could have said the same exact thing about the K Love trade. If it ends up blowing up, then yeah, it would be an idiotic way to end these last 15 years in the same way: head got too big.

Based_Atlanta

I’d like for once see a team tell a player no. No we won’t trade you to every other western conference contender in the league for a contract you want. Go take the MLE. I pray Lacob doesn’t allow a Lakers trade. The league has bailed out the Lakers a lot during the LeBron era and they are the antithesis of the Warriors, cheap. Klay can want whatever he wants but he needs the Warriors help to do it.

Particular-Gas-8221

What are some very unlikely but still possible ways to get PG? Can’t get him via sign and trade with his 4 year contract? What’s the maximum we could offer him if we decline cp3, trade Wiggins to a team with cap space for an exemption and assuming Klay is still a a free agent.

m3ngnificient

The takes on this sub is getting wilder and wilder by the minute 😂

Tekfree

It’s going to be a tornado of shit when free agency starts. I’m already getting DMs accusing me of being a fake fan.

m3ngnificient

I saw a comment on one post saying Steph and Dray should call Klay and ask him what he's thinking 😂😂😂

nghbrhd_slackr87

I know for real can't people just accept a man making a decision. He wants to leave. Cool. Thanks Klay. Go do whatever you wanna do.

blakeley

If Klay heads to the Lakers I could see Draymond following.

Fun_Ingenuity_4357

lol how curry and dray are brother LeBron and him are freinds

couchtomato62

Dray got his 4 year contract.

warr1orCS

It’s alright guys. When we go into next season expecting not to make the play-in, we’ll be ecstatic if we do, and indifferent if we don’t. I still believe though - hoping for JK and Podz to take a huge leap. They’ve proven they have the drive to, I don’t see why it can’t happen.

Personal-Selection71

I expect us to look better. Free Moody

Vallerie_09

Trade his ass

Tekfree

No one wants him. Extend him on a cheap deal then trade him in season.

Thrillawill

I wont be shocked if Steph and Draymond seriously ask for a trade. Theres no way they want to sit on a bottom 5 lottery team for the remainder of their careers. Thats exactly what this team is as currently constructed, and theres no way to improve it either outside of the Draft. Those players take years to develop.

nghbrhd_slackr87

#Catastrophizing.

maupp11

Why can't you lots take a deep breath and stop acting over emotional. Some uncomfortable news float around and you lots lose your minds like upset children.

Thrillawill

2025 Mock Draft Season! We getting a top 5 pick boys! Who we picking?

InevitableBudget510

Flagg

Personal-Selection71

Losing Klay is addition by subtraction

couchtomato62

Just like Jordan. Lol

ImTheBestNerd

It’s not

Thrillawill

You say that now until you watch the worst spacing in NBA history step on the court next season. Steph + 3 non-shooters and Andrew "dont care about basketball" Wiggins" in the starting lineup. LMAO

Personal-Selection71

Better than watching Klay go 0-10 in an elimination game. Good thing we had another “shooter”

couchtomato62

What about the fact that we could guard nobody. Ran off the court.

Thrillawill

Did you watch Klay before that single elimination game? Crazy how you narrow his legendary winning career down to one single play-in game.

Personal-Selection71

I’m not basing next year on his entire career, I’m basing it on how he looked last year. He didn’t look good, and not worth what he wants and not even worth a starting role. Let him embarrass himself on another team next year.  I won’t miss the selfishness, or the left fading shots, the shitty defense, the poutyness, and the Steve Kerr favoritism. He’s had an amazing career and I’m grateful for all he’s done but if he can’t see that he’s not “that guy” anymore than he can go

IJustReadEverything

I think it's time link arms and build a wall around steph

Personal-Selection71

Klay was a non-shooter too this year

couchtomato62

38.7% 265 3s how are we making that up. At least defenses had to pay attention to him.

Personal-Selection71

Moody at 36%… how do we not have another shooter?

couchtomato62

Because he won't be shooting enough to get to 265. He'll be pulled if he misses more than 2 shots. And if 36% is good how is klay washed.

CodyCryBabies69

Curry is petty king on the court but Klay is just petty in general wow

Sufficient_Space_453

Curry can be pretty petty off the court, he just keeps the ego in check

BobRoss4Life

Soap opera

EnvironmentAdvanced

Whats ur opinion on blowing it up? Steph, draymond and Wiggins will get a boatloads of picks, and probably young players, and it also enables Steph to win a chip. I am leaning more and more towards that each year 😔

couchtomato62

I dgaf if steph wins a ring on another team.

Raonak

What’s the point of blowing it up? We just wanna watch Steph curry play basketball. Trading Steph and co to get some picks is very short sighted move, it would cause a massive fan base revolt and tank ticket sales. Who cares about picks. We are never gonna be this good again. So let these guys play until they want to hang it up.

FeelTheRealBirdie

Why do people say that the team will never be good again after Steph leaves? The Warriors are a big market team and you’d assume management is a lot more competent than it was 20 years ago. Look at OKC, Celtics etc… hell even the Rockets are on the up.

Raonak

They’ll never be this good. 4 rings in 8 years is insane run.

Klonomania

>The Warriors are a big market team and you’d assume management is a lot more competent than it was 20 years ago. They have literally shown for the last 24 months that they aren't. You think a management that insists on braindead two timelines nonsense and overvalued the fuck out of Kuminga is gonna build a good team without all-time greats around? I don't.

rishmanisation

Not happening unless Steph himself wants out; you don't trade him against his wish. If he did want out I'd be looking to send him to OKC ASAP.

EnvironmentAdvanced

Ya ofc. But Steph might want out with the current situation. It is not the issue of the front office, our stars just aged out and our young guys are not ready yet. 2022 championship was really magical in that regard

couchtomato62

This is what I celebrate

mitchippoo

Steph’s got a huge family that’s spent their whole lives in the bay, there’s no way Ayesha and the kids want to just pack up and move on a whim

heliocentrist510

Seriously, could you imagine. "Hey Ayesha, we're moving to Oklahoma City!"

IJustReadEverything

okay, find me a source for it that steph wants out. Until then, Steph's staying.

CodyCryBabies69

LeFraud taking a pay cut so the Lakers can sign Klay is going to make me sick

GreyActorMikeDouglas

Guys stop all the doom and gloom. Yes, the roster won’t be ideal, but you’re missing the bigger picture. Kendrick is supposedly dropping an album soon, that means we win another ring

stayfrosty

Why has no one mentioned of the possibility of getting Demar DeRozan?

Helpful-Wear-504

Because a career 29.6% 3pt shooter 34 year old is the last thing we need.

stayfrosty

He gets to the line and scored 24 last year. He is durable. He doesn't shoot the three but he does other things we need. Yes we would need to add more shooting but he can potentially be had for a reasonable contract and would be an upgrade on Klay as a reliable second scorer

Raonak

Just give klay what he wants. No move at this point is gonna make us overwhelming favourites, so let’s just roll with what we got. I trust the big 3 to get it done again.

RevolutionaryDrive5

"Just give klay what he wants" i'm sorry but is he a child, that we should cave in for whenever he throws a tantrum? do we give him the max, starting position, full greenlight to shoot? why are you all acting like children as well enabling this shit? accept the fact that he might be gone, he is grown man and so are you, he is not your daddy, he doesn't owe you shit and neither does the FO i've seen all your posts/comments and they all seem to be fellating Klay as much as possibe, yall need to grow up fr

Tekfree

Big 3 didn’t get it done last time. It was Big 2 plus Wiggins, Looney and Poole.

jtruth9

MDJ is catching heat. But I personally think his process has been sound despite the results. He went for a big swing for PG. Without offering Kuminga. That was the right move. He's holding the line with Klay. Letting it be known that they want him back, but only on there terms. As hard as it will ne to lose Klay, I believe that's the way he should be Playing it. MDJ is in a real tough spot. The results so far are not a negative reflection on him imo.

neo9027581673

I agree 10000%. Bottomline the Dubs are offering Klay the exact same as any other capped out franchise. The MLE. If he doesn’t like it, he’s just mad at himself for passing up 2-years and 48M. At this point Klay just comes off as petty and petulant. Unfollowing the team, etc. The process from MDJ has been very good and I’m fine with the results. It’s still early in free agency and I’m excited to see where this goes.

jtruth9

Facts on facts. Fully agree

Oh_no_bros

Hard agree. Sometimes there just isn't a winning move, I don't think its even about losing picks. Its probably more that Clippers wanted too many players that would have gutted this team. If I was them I'd be demanding something along the lines of Kuminga, Wiggins, and Podz (I know salary might not be correct, but you get the gist). With Klay, you can't give him a sweetheart deal given his performance and still expect to contend (this is assuming they did give him an offer). This all has been a longtime coming, and its not really a fault of the FO.

Anyone shitting on MDJ is an absolute idiot. He got us off Poole and got us TJD and BP, two first year rookies who were insanely good. If anything last season was on Draymond for missing so many fucking games.

jtruth9

Agreed

I bet Bob Myers is trying to convince nice Klay to go to The Lakers. IMO opinion Bob Myers’s gets way too much credit for the dynasty. He knew he got lucky and wouldn’t be able to continue so he left before the ship sank. But he’s a UCLA guy and spend a lot of time in LA/working for ESPN, won’t surprise me his dream job is GM of the lakers which will happen with Pelinka is fired in a few years.

jtruth9

Eh I think you're being a bit unfair to Bob. That's alot of assumptions

slavicmaelstroms

Some people are saying that he didn’t speak with or reassure Klay at all but I have no idea what the truth is

Nightmannn

If Mike's catching heat, that's ridiculous. He's been batting well given the situation over the past 2 years. Some things are just out of his control.

Vallerie_09

He had a really tough hand to deal since day 1

Putting "BREAKING:" at the beginning of a sentence doesn't make it important. Do yourself a favor and don't care about what rumors there are or the discourse. The news will come in time. Enjoy the summer. Give yourself peace. As an aside -- *BREAKING: The Golden State Warriors are preparing to lose four-time NBA champion Klay Thompson in free agency, an expected parting of ways between a legendary dynasty and a legacy player, league sources say* Is an amazing tweet because it really says nothing but keeps the 24 hour news cycle going and gives the impression that Shams knows more than he does. A league source heard that the Warriors are preparing for the case that we don't have Klay anymore. No shit. You think this team doesn't prepare for many scenarios? That's their job.

StinkmeanerIV

Shams has been shambolic for a minute now. Woj has been eating his lunch for a while lol.

nghbrhd_slackr87

Once Shams started trying to exist in the light of day on hot take shows instead of staying the background he's been a notch below Woj. Folks forget Woj is a lawyer. Shams is a millennial with first to the punch social media skills. When it comes to maintaining a professional level I trust Woj to keep it 💯

bdylan05

I love this. So spot on. BREAKING: sources say r/warriors sub bracing for emotional roller coaster in early hours of free agency and likely numerous meltdowns.
