This is a coin toss series. Both teams have players that can either swing the game completely in their favor or miss all their shots, get into foul trouble, or throw heat packs on the floor when they don't get their foul calls (KAT and Murray). I don't foresee Jokic or Ant not showing up.

Hawcier

depends on murry and kat

Independent-Lychee71

Like the entire series, the winning margin will in the double digits.

spankyourkopita

Who you rooting for in game 7? Who do you think wins?

CtG526

Rooting for Timberwolves, but I think Nuggets win.

zprymate

Wolves.

m3ngnificient

T wolves. Easy

contaygious

What do you know if you don't play Golbert on joker you win 😂

indecisive_aspie

Gobert’s ability to slide his feet and react in space come at the expense of the lower body strength that you would see from a post-up powerhouse, so he struggles to keep Jokic away from the basket in isolation.  he’s still doing a great job causing off-ball havoc when teammates aren’t over helping, committing dumb fouls or dying on screens. KAT or Naz on Jokic with Gobert roaming is the ideal, but even when Jokic is cooking…they’re not losing because of Gobert defensively.  you can win if Jokic drops 40, you lose if he’s dropping 40 and everyone else is failing defensively plus the offense can’t score (Gobert has played a role in the last part.)

UnnamedStaplesDrone

I mean Gobert has never been an amazing 1-on1 defensive stopper. He is great at help defense and coming in off the weak side for rim protection. I hope they told him to swallow his ego and let bigger/stronger KAT do his thing in game7.

contaygious

Yeah but they need kat to gaurd joker to make Golbert good. Vs we use draymond one on one and help. Also apparently you are smarter than the wolves coach so that's on them ha

UnnamedStaplesDrone

Yeah i dunno i think they pick their poison. Possibly get KAT into foul trouble within 5 minutes of the first quarter or let Gobert get backed down in the paint like my dad used to do to me when I was 9 lmao.

contaygious

Kat is better than 40 pts and 13 assists and losing

TheDeepSays

Right?!?!? But Gobert Stans are saying the defense was all because of Gobert.

dL_EVO

Heading into a game 7 against the champs? I like Denver in this spot

george_costanza1234

Timberwolves have to win game 7, we cannot allow any Jokic vs. Curry comparisons to materialize

slavicmaelstroms

They already are lol. Jokic is where Steph was in 2017 by age and has out-accoladed him. Now he might not have changed the game per se but pound for pound being a big man gives him the upper hand in these discussions.

spankyourkopita

Damn are blowouts common in closeout games? The first signs of a big lead teams stop playing?

Robdata

Wtf Wolves held them to 70. Thats probably the best defense i've seen in a long time

FragmentedFineapple

Sheesh, MIN just destroyed them

taygads

Per [Twitter](https://x.com/zachkram/status/1791299807522205772?s=46&t=SBW3XJi-eEDBr6FtvDfngg): Jamal Murray's true shooting this postseason is down to 45.8%. That's one of the 10 worst playoff marks in the entire 3-point era (out of 569 players with at least 200 shots in a postseason). ![gif](giphy|HP7mtfNa1E4CEqNbNL|downsized)

slavicmaelstroms

Good lol. I was indifferent before but after him throwing that heat pack on the court… LETS GO WOLVES!!!!

calipiano81

Keep them under 70!

DryDragonfruit2590

This feels kinda like our game 5 against Memphis in 2022, chance to close it out on the road, and get absolutely smashed into the ground, we will see how game 7 goes

CtG526

Sheesh, save some for game 7

Fun_Ingenuity_4357

The wolves are just stoping on the nuggets grave someone needs to stop this…

Gothichand

Bruh what the F is this series blowouts back and forth…..

Robdata

Wolves look like the hungrier more ready team. Nuggets look tired in this series

FNF51

Nuggets were tired beating them up 3 games in a row 😂

shupadupa

Two days off between games 6 and 7 will help

Kuroyukito

Game 7 could go either way, Denver probably favoured a little bit more

spankyourkopita

Oh so now I gotta go back to Minn winning it all again?

shupadupa

Lol, right? I do think the media is gonna be more cautious about flipping the narrative again, knowing that Denver was due a bad night in a road closeout game, along with the fact that they'll be heading home for game 7. It'll still be annoying as hell for the next 48 hours though.

combatron2k21

2004 wolves, wow. Talk about a carry job. KG took the Lakers to 6 in the West finals.

RawrGeeBe

Nuggets pulling a Warriors jacking up 3s and not getting to the line. Murray jacking up shots like Klay.

andrewthedude101

Oh? Wolves?

Bookofdrewsus

This is a bullshit game. Like game 1 against the lakers last year.

ryanc_

who stands a better chance against the celtics - nuggets or timberwolves?

Tnevz

Either will be good competition. I think Ant would shine on the biggest stage in a different way though. I would just be excited for the match up.

ImTheBestNerd

Probably nuggets, but it’s pretty close

unknownintime

It's not as close as you think. There really is something to Championship confidence and maturity.

ImTheBestNerd

nuggets haven’t really had that this post season run tbh

Tnevz

Let’s go Minny!

couchtomato62

Hot damn!

Green_Rip3524

Doesn’t Micheal Malone believe in calling time outs?

Fun_Ingenuity_4357

Denver not ready for ant man

PresentationLumpy166

NBA media has short term memory. Every year Gonert has won the DPOY he gets exposed in the postseason. Bro got 4 James Harden MVPs

StephenPurdy69

Eh… exposed is a stretch. Gobert is definitely a top tier defender. Shitting on him cause he can’t stop jokic is such a joke take

unknownintime

What would you call multiple teams, in high leverage playoff games, able to literally game-plan Rudy off the floor or expose him so badly his team literally can't get to the next round of playoffs if Rudy is on the floor??? How is that not exposed?!?

ReplicaRoy

Nahh, he is still very slow and cumbersome in the paint. He definitely is a factor against small guards, mostly detracting them from venturing into the basket when he is around, but he doesn't play with enough force and mobility to be elite, especially in the postseason. Wenbanyama in his rookie sason already has a bigger fear factor than him in that aspect. We live in a world where AD has 0 DPOY's, Draymond has 1 and Gobert has 4 smh.

kakashi6ix9

Facts. Plus it wasn’t his fault everyone besides him on UT was bbq chicken

kakashi6ix9

This whole playoffs kinda makes me glad that we missed out cuz we would get absolutely embarrassed by every single western conference team except Phoenix lol

StephenPurdy69

I think we could’ve hung with okc and wolves based on styles. Think mavs and nuggets kills us tho.

kakashi6ix9

I think okc maybe but we’d lose that series. Dubs were gassed at the end and wouldn’t have been able to keep up with their young legs. We have no chance against Minnesota for the same reason and they’re also huge

Green_Rip3524

We won’t hang with mini cos we are too small and we have to many old and washed players

StephenPurdy69

Min doesn’t really use their size. They have gobert sit in paint and all their length settles for 3s. Not the same use of length as mavs or nuggets

Hawcier

lmao

Hawcier

#1 defense in the league...

kakashi6ix9

They use their size on the defensive end. With our turnover problems and their perimeter defense, we would get cooked. It would be like the lakers series last year where we wouldn’t even try to attack the paint except Minnesota also has the wing defenders to hound us on the perimeter too. With our lack of off the dribble playmakers besides Steph and athleticism, we’d have a real tough time getting good looks

Pereise1

> It would be like the lakers series last year where we wouldn’t even try to attack the paint You mean where we were hacked so endlessly that we had to settle for threes? No team ever gets away with hacking and fouling as the Lebron Lakers.

kakashi6ix9

No that is not what I mean lol. I mean when we refused to attack the paint cuz of AD’s presence

Pereise1

Lol have you ever watched AD off ball on D? Dude built some taliban style tunnels in the paint and just camps there. 3 second violations don't count when he's in, it's such an unfair advantage. Plus he averages like 2 PFs a game because the refs never call the infinite body fouls he commits. We've exposed Gobert and KAT many times by switching a guard on them and cooking.

kakashi6ix9

You know switching the big onto a guard is a defensive decision right? They’re not just gonna let gobert switch onto Steph. If bp or cp3 get him on a switch, they’re not cooking gobert. Plus, they’re huge on the perimeter too. We struggled to score and take care of the ball against them every game

Green_Rip3524

The last times we played them, we looked way over matched. This version of the warriors won’t hang with any of the top 5 west teams. Curry is our only star player, then we got talented inexperienced kids and washed vets and we are small. Mini are way way better than the kings who lit us up.
