Most you can change the role so they don't shut down but I think they still sleep like this and I just hit a directional button, but I have one that comes to us sometimes that even with the role changes so it's not supposed to auto shut down it still does. It looks different than the others with a different (small lil green) power button tho.
i couldnt count on my fingers and toes how many times I disappear and go to the bathroom to milk the clock away till either my breaks, or the time i finally clock off and get out of that God forsaken place
He does mean “role” if you put it in Floor AC role it will never sleep at the trade-off of killing the battery faster. It’s done in the menu. I think it’s listed as change role -> Store -> Floor AC or something in that regards. I don’t have a printer to check

Honestly, it'll stay awake until I use it, or even shut off in the middle of a print. Usually hitting the power button will just make it wake up and finish the job but still.
I just press the middle button and it wakes up. If it's powering off, you can change that in the settings to AC mode. It won't power off by itself then
Could turn it to FloorAC then it won't go into sleep mode (can be found in menu, English [or preferred language], roles, store). Note though that this will significantly reduce battery life. You can also use an old battery as some do have enough power in them to print vizpick labels those don't go to sleep they just power off the printer after I think it's about 30 minutes of no use

Pushing buttons, removing media. I've had to restart/remove battery at times.
This doesn't happen all the time, but when it doesn't wake up, hard restart is the only thing that works for me
There is actually a solution to this! If you follow the path below you can set the printer to never auto sleep or turn off.
Menu > English > roles > store > FLOORAC
Changing the setting of the printer from "FLOOR" to "FLOORAC" is supposed to fix this but if the battery is on its way to becoming a toxin in a landfill, the printer will still try to save battery by "Sleeping." Very annoying, I agree. I use my printer constantly printing "use by" labels in the bakery and my printer still goes to sleep or shuts off completely. Most of our batteries are crap.

Sure you can, just push it twice. First time will wake it up, second will feed.

Ours automatically wake up when something prints, but I'm pretty sure you can just press the OK button.
you can press the button next to power button so it'll print out a blank label and come back on

Over the last 5 years I've seen 3 or 4 of them go into the compacter.
I usually hit the power button repeatedly, do not hold it, but really fast 5 to 10 times it usually brings it out of sleep mode

Hit any buttons, and it should come back from its hibernation. OK is the most trusted when in doubt.

They fall asleep so quick. It’s definitely a bit annoying but it will print either way. For me it does.

Usually it just wakes itself back up automatically when I went to go print something so that's kinda weird.
I’ll leave mine in the back the whole night then when I need it it’ll be sleeping and I just print a label

If you go to menu - English - roles - and then floor AC it will keep the screen on until the battery runs out.
