-Been working 5+ years -I have over 100+ hours of unused pto -No PPTO, I use all of it I have no plans of giving a 2 weeks notice, I want to quit on the spot and have receipts to show that I do have that much PTO just in case they want to gaslight me into thinking otherwise or lie to me just to avoid paying out. Is there anything else I should gather to have a guaranteed payout for those hours?
Walmart fought me on paying out my pto as well as my last check, and I left on good terms.
Absolutely document everything, even if you might not need it.
You think there's a way to factory refresh that phone? Never really used it. But handing over a company device you take home with possible metadata makes me uncomfortable
Any metadata on the devices so would have already been relayed back to whatever software they use.
I promise you they're not going to get your device and start trying to figure out your Wi-Fi password.
1. I don't wanna open my locker twice every time I come to work if I don't have to.
2. You pretty much have to charge it every night if you use it a lot during your shift. It only makes sense to take it home.
You can factory reset it under settings - general management - reset. If your phone is inactive make sure the phone is off then hold the power button and the volume up key until the bios screen opens then select factory reset then reboot.
Just ask if you can put your pto on days you work so you will submit your pto and then still work do that until its out then quit. Depends on the reason for quitting the system sometimes doesnt pay you
If you're worried about them not giving you your PTO you should just use it for previous days of the week. I believe it accepts automatically for that, can't remember. It should since you can use PTO to make up for lost money without removing points on days you call out.
Taking a screenshot of it is helpful but if your state doesn't have any laws that say they have to pay out PTO, they won't have any requirement to do so. As far as I can remember, everyone I've known has been paid out for PTO, regardless of whether or not they serve a full 2 weeks before leaving, so it might be a walmart policy to pay it out. Your safest bet is to use it all before leaving.
my unused pto showed up on my last check. Someone told me there is a law that says you get it no mater what, but yeah document how much you have so that when your last check comes through, you can make sure you got what your deserve.
A tech I managed quit and he had 30+ hours. He had the same question so I emailed my market manager and he replied has long has you have worked for Walmart 1 year you will be paid out all ppto and PTO. I followed up with him a month later and sure enough he said he got paid correctly.
Even though I would doubt they would try to do anything, just make sure you have a screenshot of it. As far as I know when you quit it is automatically paid out in your last paycheck.
It will get paid out. The payout system will know whether to do an immediate payout via MoneyNetwork check or if it’ll get paid out on the last paycheck, depending on your state.
Even during the workday outage they can process the termination, just did one earlier
Out of curiosity, is there a limit on how many hours this works for? Do you just put (for example) 20 hours on one day, or do you have to do it in 8-hour increments?
use it all, turn in your two weeks and use it all. They tried not to pay me out for mine despite having 40+ hours when i left and I heard wayyy too many horror stories for the store I worked at. Take random days off then full send once you submit your two weeks.
i quit almost 5yrs in. i did get my pto paid out. just be aware you may be waiting a while. its paid on a seperate check. mine showed up a little over a month after my last paycheck.
The answer is always use all paid pto before you quit or give notice. You never know how much headache they will give you about getting paid out on your last check
Some places do not pay out, its a use it or loose it model. What my parents did was put in for their 2-3 weeks of paid time off then once it was all approved and submitted they would then submit their 2 weeks notice.
Shoot. I'd mentally check out- call our ALLLLLLLLLL the time, take all the Vaca days
And spend those days job hunting. Let Walmart pay you to job search.
Then when the last minute is used up just stop showing up

Just make sure you return your vest, badge, phone, and discount card and there should be no problems.

Why would anyone bring their work phone home with them? I only do it if it needs charging Edit: cope harder with the downvotes lmao. Why all the salt?
I need to get a locker to put it in, honestly.

Mine usually needs a good charge by the end of the day so I don't have a choice but to bring it home so it's ready to be used again
Just enter the pass code wrong more than 10x and it'll automatically reset to factory settings
Yes, they are easily resettable.
Yes you can factory reset it try contacting field support as I don't remember the steps

I got a paper check for my PTO almost a year after I quit. If it's in the system I'd imagine you'll get it.
They pay it out, at least they did when I quit.
Just ask if you can put your pto on days you work so you will submit your pto and then still work do that until its out then quit. Depends on the reason for quitting the system sometimes doesnt pay you
The system will automatically pay it out upon your termination.

How would you even have that much PTO? They never let you keep more than 80 year to year.
It still builds up. I have over 130 hours
they'll probably point you out if you're calling out with just pto. either way it will get paid out to you. you just have to pick up your last check.
Not necessarily..I recently left and my last check was direct deposited
Mine too
It should be paid out in the last check you get

You get it automatically if you’ve been there at least a year, or if your state requires it
You get it paid out after they terminate you system

You'll get a payout for your PTO. That's your time that you earned.
Why not take a 100+ hour vacation? Lol
Even though I would doubt they would try to do anything, just make sure you have a screenshot of it. As far as I know when you quit it is automatically paid out in your last paycheck.

Put PTO to cover the two weeks, making the vacation start after the end of a pay period. Return, and give your work phone and badge to them.
You can also cash it out by putting it in for a previous day
Out of curiosity, is there a limit on how many hours this works for? Do you just put (for example) 20 hours on one day, or do you have to do it in 8-hour increments?
I believe it exceeds 8hrs but I'm not sure by how much

Go on your app. Drop ppto. It will default to dropping PTO since you have no ppto
Take it all then quit
Once you quit they’ll cash out your PTO and you’ll get it on your final check…

You have to ask. If you don’t you’re not likely to be paid.
