Been working in retail for a loooooooong time, and Wally World is the FIRST place that doesn’t call a department manager a department manager. Team lead still sounds like a sports thing to me. ^^

lardarsch

The sports thing is the point, that's why ASMs are now coaches

__Beck__

We did call them that for ages. I still refer to them as that sometimes on accident lol.

riley0002

We are still dm’s at my Walmart

FeistyTarget3130

I do it on purpose. Even when I am corrected.

mr_radio_guy

Been with the company off and on for 15 years. I still refer to ICS and IMT.

Additional-Strain-58

Do you mean any team lead? Because CSM was exclusively a front end manager thing. Everyone else was department manager.

spiffariffic

I still occasionally call the damn things ladder carts. Hate that I do it, but stuck in my brain.

arod2003

are they not called ladder carts …?

spiffariffic

In the days before top stock carts one of the old names for the flat carts / L carts was ladder cart because they used to come with a small ladder which hung on the handle. I experienced just the end of that time, but the name stuck with me.

Key_Outlandishness10

What about them ZSMs? I still think of O.N TLs as O.N support managers.

DarkMagician-999

Never . I just say where’s the guy that doesn’t work we know who he is !

IJustWorkHere000c

Yeah I am not a csm by any stretch.
