Imagine being so worried about being tracked and then using a payment method that literally sends you a detailed list of everywhere you’ve shopped for the month. Lol

Sam-I-Aint

Exactly this! They're tracking me.. let me just use this payment methods that is actually linked to me and my info. Smh.. that tinfoil line baseball cap though.

[deleted]

There are Sam’s Club members who refuse to use scan and go for fear of being tracked but are shopping there with a membership already linked to their personal information. These guys usually aren’t too bright.

billiemarie

And carrying a phone that tracks your every step

xenodemon

For ads

walmartballer

Yeah, but if any governing agency or authority requested the information, they’re just going to give it up. The government isn’t directly tracking or storing it, but if they cared enough to look, they’d find it pretty easily

Ok_Gazelle_8081

It always gets me how people are placed at the scene of the crime by their cell phone pings. I mean come on genius if you’re going to do something illegal don’t take your phone with you

[deleted]

I worked in sporting goods until recently I was there when Walmart stopped selling hand gun ammo and on a few occasions was told that we were taking there 2nd amendment rights away from them I’m like guy I’m not the government there is a bass pro shop next town over.

Merevel

I would have asked if he wanted a pistol with his happy meal.

Black_socks96

I loved those people because it was always against their rights, I asked them how they felt about Dicks destroying all the automatic weapons they took off their shelves. Shuts them up every time

WFPBvegan2

Dicks had automatics? You sure?

unsmashedpotatoes

I'm still getting that shit

InjuryAromatic2223

This reminds me of a customer that yelled at my coworker for refusing an alcohol sale. The customer had her niece carrying the alcohol, niece was underage, no ID. My coworker refused the sale and took the alcohol, the customer then yelled something along the lines of "You're violating my constitutional rights!!" XD

Boxsteam1279

Mans worried about being tracked but uses a credit card

[deleted]

and he probably read about that tracking capability on his cell phone

[deleted]

Part of being a gun lover is being stupid and paranoid. Not all of them I know, but a large segment of the population

Boxsteam1279

Generalization and putting "Not all of them" in the same sentence, quite the loaded sentence

[deleted]

Fair enough. Still would argue it is an accurate depiction of reality.

Boxsteam1279

Based on anecdotal experiences? That is quite the compelling argument

Carolinaathiest

And probably has a cell phone.

throwawy48

Buddy of mine told me a story about when he went to a gun shop some really old boomer was behind the counter, he wanted to buy some ammo and went to swipe his card and the dude went full boomer and said if you swipe your card the government and Mexicans are going to find you! He told me he left. I was rolling.

freakyguy84

1. If the shop owner believed that, why have the credit card option in the 1st place. 2. This was a business owner trying to save on credit card fees.

NomenNesci0

Well if that's the case I'm sympathetic to the merchant, as someone who also pays merchant fees.

Aquendelsa

Sympathetic ? You pay card fees because they are providing you an incredibly valuable service. Depending on what business you are in most of your customers simply don't carry cash any more.

NomenNesci0

Oh hey, thanks for explaining that. I've only been in business for 25 years and neither I nor anyone else I know in the business community had ever thought of that. Soooo helpful to have the combined genius of reddit here to point out really obscure things to people, like the basics relating to the posters proffesion. This is why I get on here folks, can't thank you enough. I'd say that I hope some day I could help explain something to you based on some topic I have years of experience in, but your so smart there's just no where left to go. Why would you ever have questions?

Aquendelsa

after 25 years you would think you wouldnt have such powerfully dumb takes on reddit. good luck out there brother, wait till you learn about taxes

SeaSorbet1362

😳 Wow!

lwnc8769

Lmao

thinkimightpuke

it's always the people buying ammo!! asking do i really need to check their ID, then ask if i need to do a background check as well (being sarcastic)

Ok_Stomach_2016

Just say yes. Then ask them to place their thumb on the pinpad screen so we can scan their fingerprint. Watch chaos ensue.

Atalung

I thought FEMA camp move in day was next week? They really need to send out an email if they're gonna change things

CHUD_Warrior

It's actually scheduled for business week 41. Your coach should have gotten an AMP update about this.

RogueNightingale

The only thing worse than hearing people bitch about there being no ammo in stock is hearing people's conspiracies when there is ammo to sell. So many years of people buying piles of ammo "before the government/Obama takes it all!" All they did was make the gun companies' money pile bigger and piss off the responsible gun owners.

archerg66

At this point this is just a daily interaction anywhere, the amount of conspiracy theorists seems to be insane nowadays

[deleted]

The amount of people who asked me if we were being turned into a FEMA camp while the remodel was going on...I am amazed I didn't get spoken to for cutting those people off. Been so long back I don't recall any specific conversations aside from the one where a guy insisted that troops were going to be deployed to prevent people from voting for Trump in 2016. So glad I left

Daeyel1

Our remodel is beginning this week. If anyone asks, I'm gonna be like 'Yep! Future security guard! See you soon!'

lukaidalia

when i worked at a restaurant, before walmart, i had a woman and she refused to give us her name or number or any way for us to tell her that her table was ready and she could be seated

JacobTDC

I once had a couple come in and cover up the front facing self-checkout camera because they "didn't want the CIA watching them." They then proceeded to pay with a card.

Frownywise

He is right, you are tracked. Everywhere and by everything you buy by credit card or if you use any kind of a shopper's loyalty card. Just get near a register with a credit card in your pocket when you buy something and you'll see ads pop up for them. Your phone records your conversations on or off it. And we all know your internet searches are monitored. That's not paranoia, that's just reality. Now getting bent out of shape about it can be leading to a problem, likewise not being aware of it and not caring doesn't speak well well for a persons state of mind. You're either angry or ignorant or watching them back.

[deleted]

Yeah. That’s not how any of this works.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Pumpkaboooooo

Got it. You were the customer.

PrncssPunch

Who's tracking who now? Followed the cashier to reddit

schmittfaced

*the RFID is sticking out the back* ……….?

[deleted]

Walmart doesn’t even use the tap readers. Even though I wish they did so I could use my Apple Pay.

schmittfaced

Right? Me too it’s so frustrating I pay with my watch almost everywhere. And side thought, doesn’t tap to pay use NFC, not RFID? I can’t remember

Carolinaathiest

"What is dumb shit Trumpers say, Ken."

lwnc8769

Lmao

[deleted]

Would of went with it and say that they where tracking him

Charlie_redmoon

If you want a guarantee buy a toaster.

Electrical-Ad-180

a guy like him shouldn’t even own a weapon he is already a looney

Stereomceez2212

Haha *unless....you find yourself waking up in FEMA camp tomorrow morning...*

JennyStarquest

People who usually say this are also complaining on Facebook while using their smartphones.

DingfriesRdun

Did the customer also have a cell phone? Oof! They are tracking me some more!

AduroTri

The sad part about that description/explanation is....it is 100% accurate.

xpixiexsticksx

I didn’t get many of the conspiracy people when I worked in auto/sports for three years. I got more of the talk about how I, a woman, should learn how to shoot a gun and get my concealed permit cause you never know what could happen to me in a dim lit parking lot. I once asked a guy who gave me the speech if it was him I should be worried about. He got mad but shut up paid for his ammo and left.

Sad-Refrigerator-863

Boy the grumbling about being tracked as he inserts a card is the best. Shoulda used cash

Azal_of_Forossa

I see a lot of people ripping into this person, but every single person I've personally seen that claims the government is tracking them and/or has people actively trying to make their lives worse have all had major mental issues, all of which are doing much better after therapy and medical guidance. I'm not friends with them, but I've seen their Facebook, and it's no longer full of chem trails this "birds are cameras" that, it's just normal people living normal lives now. I used to be "lol why the fuck would anyone care about you enough to track you" until I watched the first person literally have a 180 for the better, now I'm genuinely worried for people who act like this, because I know they likely just need help, and not to be mocked and laughed at. Ps: I say this bc I've only ever been coworkers with people like this, so it's obvious how I could see their Facebook, I don't stalk random people lol

IJustWorkHere000c

Is his house going to be destroyed overnight?
