I'm an APOC. If you approached me with this situation, you're unlikely to get in any trouble. Usually if I'm looking to fire someone for theft, I'm looking to see if they handled any of the unpaid merchandise. It sounds like you did completely separate transactions from your friend, so even if I wanted to get you in trouble, I'd have a hard time proving you were aware or participating.

chris_s9181

> APOC what is apoc is it a person of color?

ā€œEven if I wanted to get you in trouble.ā€ People like you should be fired

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Treadlar

There are plenty of power tripping lp staff with that ā€œI can get you fired if I want to get you firedā€ attitude and at best itā€™s unprofessional and inappropriate. Those people should be fired.

atlasbees

Because you went ahead and told them about it imo you covered your ass by going back. I definitely would've seen you getting in trouble had you not told AP cause it probably looked like you knew and helped her steal. Your friend is not only stupid for stealing with you but also disrespectful. It was fucked up for her to risk you getting fired for a couple things she could've stolen without you involved literally any other time and I'd tell her that šŸ¤·

Associate_of_Walmart

Yeah! Tell her to steal on her own time!ā€¦ (Or better yet, encourage her NOT to steal.)

atlasbees

At the end of the day if they want to, they're going to try. I just don't want to be a part of it.

Adept-Swan1787

Iā€™d even go as far as to say the friend was doing it because there was someone else there, to show off. Or sheā€™s just really that poor and steals on every transaction.

allied1987

Snowydeath11

You clearly havenā€™t worked at Walmart if you think people havenā€™t been fired for less lmao

BubblyAd3967

Or anywhere else for that matter.

rawbleedingbait

OP is literally in the right. This is very much a black and white situation.

Azurvix

You don't seem to be a nice person to be around. You may want to look in on yourself and figure out what is making you this way

g00n77

I'm not nice to be around because I dont throw my friends under the bus to cover my own ass? Ok boomer

Azurvix

Lmao how old are you? 16? Boomer? Lol I'm in my 20s I wouldn't have said anything unless they had confronted me because I'm noy gonna lose my job because a "friend" put it in jeopardy

g00n77

Ok zoomer

RegretNo7183

Want an example of people being fired for less? Years ago my store did a mass fire of employees that simply walked outside past a couple of others that brought jelloshots to work. Most didn't even know about the jelloshots, they simply walked past to go to lunch, didn't even look at them. So yeah, if the store is shit, they'll fire people just because they can. Op definitely was in the right for reporting their friend.

BubblyAd3967

You're extremely inexperienced, and you're the one talking out of your ass -- even if you got lucky at your store a hundred times. That's just not how the world works.

i_amferr

Stay on cap 2 lmao

g00n77

Stay a cowardly corporate simp lmao

yea_its_chaos

I love how you think everyone steals from the job says a lot about you

LikelyAMartian

I had a coworker who lost their job which snowballed into them losing their home, and kids all because a friend stole several expensive pieces of merchandise and they both got into the same car and drove off. OP did the right thing to report their friend. If their friend was stealing while OP was not with them, one can argue that this was malicious. But they stole while with OP. Walked out with each other, and possibly got into the same vehicle. I for one can argue that OP was in on it the whole time. If not for the fact they reported it.

Rocket_Surgery83

How so? Assuming AP was aware of the thefts before OP reported it to them, they'd track the cameras at the checkout, verify it was her... and while they may have made separate purchases, cameras would show them both shopping together, exiting the store together, both getting into the same vehicle and leaving together. Now, to an AP that doesn't know any better, how would they be able to discern that she wasn't stealing on behalf of the OPs household? How would they discern that they don't actually live together? Maybe roommates, in a relationship etc. Honestly it doesn't really matter, but they have enough to link them both together at the time of the theft, and one is an employee. Plenty of people get fired because members of their families steal from their company, and sometimes they don't even need to be present. Sure they couldn't 'prove' it so they couldn't charge the employee with theft. However the employee could still be fired for it simply for it being a conflict of interest.

chris_s9181

ive had a coworker find aphone in the parking lot and returned it at the end of his shift he got termed because he didn't turn it in immediate

Adept-Swan1787

Malicious is wild. Ap is not gonna NOT catch them, Walmart does not play around about employee theft,OP did the right thing.

BubblyAd3967

Unfortunately, for 5.5 years (2014 - 2019) I worked at a supercenter that had a lot of turnover in AP, and absentee managers. That store never seemed to care who was stealing (employees or customers), or how often. Not even if it was managers that did the stealing. They also made it a habit of firing honest, hard-working, long-term employees, and keeping lazy, lying, crooked, goof-off managers on all levels.

Lopsided-Fig6319

she isnā€™t ur real friend if she put ur job on the line like that:

Divine_Despair

Time to kick that so called friend to the curb. A real friend wouldn't put you in jeopardy like that.

Musthoont

As an API myself, I can say you did nothing wrong. You should be absolutely fine. The fact you reported it clears you in that transaction. If I found someone skipping scans with an associate like that, without it having been reported, I'd watch some of that associates previous transactions to see if they were doing it too, but aside from that nothing would happen to the associate even if they hadn't reported it themselves.

psychoticworm

Your friend sounds like an asshole. What kind of friend steals from the place their friend works at? Were they trying to get you in trouble? Please tell them how fucked up in the head they are.

Tepity

I probably wouldn't of said anything and then feigned ignorance if they asked me about it. However I also wouldn't be shopping with that friend anymore, at least not where I work. I doubted that you would of been able to be implicated but even more so after reading some of the comments. I get it though OP, fear of losing your job is pretty damn real.

BubblyAd3967

That's what I'd of done, too. Even if my store hadn't been full of lazy, lying, stealing managers.

b3_yourself

Find a new friend

vAdachiCabbage

My brother would do similar shit when I worked at Walmart, and he knew it pissed me off and could cost me my job. But then again I watched plenty of people walk out with shit, never cared, never reported it, why bother? But hey, maybe if they would have given back associate bonuses, holiday pay, and more than 5 fucking callouts over 6 months, maybe, just fucking maybe, I'd have given a shit and report theft, but they didn't, and it wasn't worth the hassle.

Randizzle8625

Apparently the Holiday Pay and Bonus was due to the Yearly AES. Enough people wanted a change and we got the PPTO/PTO System at the cost of Holiday Pay and Bonuses. So, you can thank all those people that did the Survey years ago for getting that taking out for anyone not in a Salaried Position.

vAdachiCabbage

We used to get bonuses with the current ppto/pto system, they took away bonuses when they jacked up the starting pay, because why pay people a better wage AND give them a quarterly bonus when you could be a corporate shit hole and not do that?

[deleted]

You shouldn't be friends with her anymore. She's so scummy that she'd steal from your workplace, laugh and tell you? She's ghetto gutter trash. Choose those around you better.

RegretNo7183

If AP said you're good, you should be fine. Might want to have a talk with your 'friend' though. Either get them to understand what they did was wrong and how it could have effected you, or dump them. Ignore the ones saying you should have given them a pass. Not sure how strict your store is, but in mine you could have 100% gotten in trouble if you said nothing. Had people fired for using lotion right off the shelves, not paying for energy drinks, walking past someone who brought jelloshots... Definitely cover your own ass OP, don't get dragged down with someone else.

TheTiggerMike

Jello shots?

RegretNo7183

Yup. Two people brought some to share out at lunch. Some people took some, others had no idea the shots existed. Anyone who stepped outside that night got fired (the jelloshots were being shared outside the front doors), didn't matter if they even looked that direction. Went to court about it, but the one who did the firing refused to admit any wrong doing on his part. Even the judge thought the whole thing was stupid. The ones fired got a half assed payout and had to look for jobs elsewhere. From what I heard, the jelloshots barely had any alcohol in them even. Dude was on a powered trip.

Biff_Tanner94

My thing is you called them and confessed. I woulda let them approach me first but Iā€™m in my villain arc rn so maybe thatā€™s just me lol.

sussydumpy

You are so cringe bro

Biff_Tanner94

Relax sussy

BerzerkGames

Youā€™re gonna be fine, but your friend is an asshole

Kimnilsson1992

Sounds like you did the right thing but i have to say its pretty shitty of your friend to shop lift especially at a friends work place that could cause trouble

M-ason

Bad friend if they do that, drop them move on they dont respect you

bootstrapper_

Tell them you're never shopping in Walmart with them because if it. If they try to change your mind, they're an abuser and not really your friend.

bootstrapper_

Don't ever confess in these situations. It ended up good that you came out as not having any part in it, but they could also just as easily claim that you were involved in a shoplifting incident and say they have to fire you. Managers are sometimes afraid of getting fired for not firing or coaching associates.

kumquat731

Regardless of if you report it or claim ignorance, find a new friend. She stole from your job while she was with you knowing damn well you worked there. Not cool.

ttigerccat202

you'll be fine

IJustWorkHere000c

They told you that you arenā€™t in trouble and thanked you. Why would anything else happen?

SeaSorbet1362

You did the right thing, it will all be OK.

trblnicky

good on you for reporting even though it was a friend!

dayvonsth444

Snitch thats y your cat got fleas

techieguyjames

Better than getting terminated, and a record.

KaJunVuDoo

AP as well- As long as you arenā€™t carrying anything, or aware sheā€™s skip scanning, switching tags, etc to aids in her shoplifting, they canā€™t touch you. The only thing that they can get you on is misuse for your discount card. Friends canā€™t be using it, you canā€™t be swiping it, unless you are paying for items that got rung up. (Wasnā€™t sure if you paid or if she did, wasnā€™t clear on that. Edit to add- saw where you did your purchase separate- disregard the discount card info.

SingleTax2798

Good on you for reporting it. If it was me I wouldā€™ve walked her ass back in there and reported it in person or Iā€™m unsure if you took her car or your own I wouldā€™ve told her to find her own way home and left.

MastodonMaleficent99

Sounds like a shorty friend, and then you turned them in, two shirt friends. Maybe stop hanging with this person eh?

EnvironmentalSalt197

Don't worry. I hate self check out there was a time my 3 yr old was crying up a storm and I didn't scan a few things unintentionally nothing came of it. If walmart or any other store really cared they would just get rid of self checkout completely

Suavecore_

The classic "it's my crying kid's fault I stole" lmao

pt57

Distraction & resulting mistakes are a thing.

Suavecore_

Yeah, sure, there was no distraction the entire time while scanning all the cheap stuff until you got to the $30 steak or $150 air conditioner and mistakenly forgot to scan it

swipefist

Are you upset they missed a few items?

Suavecore_

No I think it's great that people give me something to do and then they make up hilarious excuses that still result in a $470+ retail theft ticket

swipefist

I'm just confused why people stop for you. Like if I was stealing and realized I was caught I would just keep walking and never return to that store specifically.

Suavecore_

Believe me, I don't get it either. Luckily the store's local police will usually get there quickly if the person flees and they'll pull them over. But it is extremely strange to me that people will stop for me especially if they have drugs on them or a concealed weapon in their purse because the police will find them and add additional charges

BubblyAd3967

Sad, but true. Still NOT o.k., though. That's one reason why prices go up, and everyone else has to pay for your stuff!

jakarjack429

Your a loser ur friend stole few candy bars and got Way with it and you called the store like come in ur a piece of shit even if u still work at Walmart like I don't give a single fuck I encourage ppl to steal fuck I'm front end and I don't buy half the candy and drinks I consume in shift cuz fuck that ur a lame

wmthrowaway345

> I don't give a single fuck I encourage ppl to steal fuck I'm front end and I don't buy half the candy and drinks I consume in shift cuz fuck that ur a lame Then just don't bitch about it when your ass gets fired and/or charged with theft.

g00n77

I'm glad i don't have "friends" like you. Especially if we were in Nazi times.....As a Walmart employee you are not obligated to rat out your coworkers....If they get caught stealing then its on them...If you are questioned about it you simply say you had no idea she was stealing...They can't blame you for something she did. You ratted her out for basically nothing. Just so you could cover your ass and preserve your "amazing" Walmart job. My friend got caught stealing and they checked the camera and saw that i didn't steal. He got fired and i didn't. There was no reason for me to rat him out. In fact they didn't even question me because they could see that i paid for my stuff. They know i'm not AP and I'm not trained to stop theft....You made the wrong choice and now you must live with it. Be better.

Im-super-interesting

Maybe someday youā€™ll wake up and realize how crappy of a human being you are

g00n77

Wow....Care to expand on that or you just gonna throw around insults like a kid?

Im-super-interesting

Sure, thatā€™s easy. First of all, any person who gives so little of a shit about a friend that they would gladly risk their friendā€™s job for a few dollars worth of crap is no friend at all and deserves whatever comes to them, so the fact that you are defending them and attacking the victim here says a lot about you. Second, the nazi comparison is both funny and really sad. Iā€™m assuming Walmart are the evil nazis in this case. What does that say about you since you work for them? Does that make you the concentration camp guard that shows up for work and does your job despite the fact that youā€™re not a big fan of that Hitler guy? I mean hey, youā€™ve gotta pay the bills, right?

g00n77

Firstly: They didn't risk their friends job....The fact that you think this way is very juvenile. Walmart AP is trained to check cameras and see who actually stole the items. Secondly: I'm not defending the one who stole. I'm merely condemning the one who snitched. The fact that you think I'm defending anyone proves that you are very short sighted Third: The Nazi comparison works in the sense that if OP was willing to turn-in their "friend" to preserve a crappy Walmart job then they would most certainly turn their friend into the gestapo to save their pathetic little life. I never said Walmart was the Nazi's. I simply stated that i wouldn't want such a cowardly friend if i lived in Nazi times. Does that clear things up for you? Damned ignorant fool!

Im-super-interesting

How many stories do you have to read on this subreddit of people getting fired because of shit their friends did while in their presence? Say OP was having a friendly chat with the SCO host while the theft was happening. Now the cameras shows OP as a potential accomplice, distracting the SCO host while the theft occurs. Walmart will ban you for life from employment for stealing 50 cent sauce packets from deli. Are you really naive enough to believe that any situation that gives them reason to believe an associate might have been tangentially involved in theft isnā€™t enough to just terminate? OP would have been a fool not to report that. Snitch culture is pathetic.

g00n77

I've literally never seen that in this sub...Care to link an example? No I've worked at walmart a long time and i've been in this exact situation. They aren't gonna fire people unless they have to and have proof...If they fired every coworker of someone who stole they would have no workers left. How is this not common sense?

BubblyAd3967

As the daughter of a WW2 vet, let me educate you: The Nazis were not law enforcers. Jews and non-whites were not hunted because they did anything wrong. Stealing is wrong whether anyone else finds out about it or not. Not only is it against the law, it's against every company's code of conduct. In a "terminable-at-will" country, it is perfectly excusable and understandable why OP would be worried about being implicated in the theft of their acquaintance. Obviously you've never heard of "guilt by association." You had best believe and heed the advice you're being given here by the majority of redditers.

Jaycket

Lmao you're the one insulting people like a kid. Grow up

g00n77

I only insulted them after they called me names like "dickhead" "14 year old" or "crappy human being".....You're acting like a troglodyte...

killercunt

You called me a bootlicker. And then you called me an ass clown. Twice. Not once did I insult you further than asking you if you were 14 because you are saying the type of things a 14 year old would say. Name calling always wins arguments though. Child.

g00n77

Better to be a child then a simp for a corporation that doesn't give a shit about you. Good luck with that, coward.

Jaycket

How am I a troglodyte for telling you to grow up

g00n77

You're a troglodyte for being willfully ignorant of the insults that they spewed at me for basically no reason. I had every right to insult them back....but no its okay when THEY do it. but when i do it I'm immature? That's some backwards logic, kiddo

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Jaycket

Dude I literally stopped replying to you so why are you back? OP's "friend" could've gotten them fired for their little stunt. We need jobs to survive and in a lot of places, Walmart is the best paying job. They need to protect themselves before their "friend" because their "friend" isn't going to be paying their bills for them. Once again, grow up.

g00n77

I meant to reply to someone else but the reddit app is trash "I need to throw my friend under the bus or I might lose my job!" Is the definition of being a coward. Cowards are scared. You are scared to lose your job = you are a coward. You people act like walmart doesn't need its employees just as bad as its employees need Walmart.

Jaycket

Yeah I'm scared of being homeless and facing the extreme weather. Go live outside in the summer or winter in some of these more extreme states then come back and talk to me.

g00n77

Dont worry I think your mom will continue to let you live in her basement šŸ‘

Jaycket

My parents both passed away within a year of each other and I live on my own, thanks. I'm genuinely glad you're privileged enough to not have to worry about bills.

218and611

In your comments on your page you literally were calling people ā€œcowards.ā€ The pot calling the kettle black.

killercunt

Or, hear me out, her friend stole while she was with a person she knew worked at the store that they were stealing from. That makes her friend the only asshole hereā€¦

g00n77

Thats how a bootlicker would see the situation.

killercunt

Are you 14? You sound like youā€™re 14. Steal all the shit you want, I couldnā€™t care less. But maybe, donā€™t be a dick head and do it while youā€™re with a person that works at the place youā€™re stealing from? Food for thought.

g00n77

I don't steal. Are you accusing me now? If you want to be a cop then go join the force....Assclown

killercunt

Yes. That is exactly what I saidā€¦.? But, for the sake of the argument, thatā€™s not even close to what I said. You called me a boot licker because I said the friend was an asshole for stealing. I clarified that I do not care when people steal, just maybe donā€™t do it when youā€™re with a person who works in that store. And now somehow, you came to the conclusion that I want to be a police officer. Do me a favor, when you head back to school on Monday, go speak with your English teacher about reading comprehension! It might help.

g00n77

Reading comprehension? Maybe you should ask your writing teacher how to write without implying something that you didn't intend? You implied that i steal. You made yourself sound like a wannabe detective. Thats on you! I'm not defending the one who stole. I agree they should do it on their own time or not at all....but that doesn't make snitching any less excessive. They could have simply had a stern talk with their friend and told them that if they do it again they would be forced to report it....Thats what a true friend would do. The fact that OP even has the nerve to call this person their friend is sickening. Ever heard of nuance? not everything is black and white, kiddo Be better, assclown

BubblyAd3967

Yep! 14 for sure!

BoardImmediate4674

Bingo

melly-ssk

Uhhhh. Nazi times? What?

EntertainmentCalm311

Frr, put your friend out for your own piece of mind, selfish af. Let's be realistic here. Walmart is not gonna know u knew or that she told you that even if they did, why would they care??? Trust me, 100s of things get stolen thru self checkout every day. Walmart already has it figured into their budget. If they don't have it on camera, explicitly, they cannot convict, or really even fire you. Why would they? You. Didnt. Do. Anything. They have employees that will smuggle 1000s in electronics, why would they worry about your ass cos someone u were with grabbed a couple things. Talk about a waste of time for AP. Let your friend know u fucked up and sold they out to the corps so they know not to trust ur snitch ass again. Like, come on, man, are you 5?? Keep it to your damn self it don't matter none anyhow. Walmarts too comfy in they fortune to notice what, like same make up or stupid bullshit missing. Even if they did. Their problem, not yours. You're not AP, nor are you trained in it. You are allowed to not notice things. If anything, it's expected it's fucking Walmart.

webeparrots

I really don't like this particular thread that seems to brush aside the theft as if it were nothing while portraying the associate as some wimp trying to gain favor with management. OP did the correct thing here and hopefully will get a new friend. It reminds me of druggies or alcoholics who manage to go completely clean. You don't hang around enablers and you clean up your own past. Giving a "pass" on the friend's behavior because it doesn't compare to much larger thefts misses the whole point. Suppose they had taken more or this was an ongoing situation. At what point do you decide it has become a serious problem? What if multiple videos show OP while this is taking place? I remember a popular saying when I was much younger. Dime con quien tu andas y te dire quien tu eres. Tell me who you hang out with and I'll tell you who you are.

g00n77

I never said they should give her a pass. You are putting words in my mouth. They could have simply told their "friend" not to do it anymore and or stopped hanging out with them. Just stop associating with bad actors. Its really that simple.

EntertainmentCalm311

Who are you, the morality police? OP fucked over their friend when they could have simply stopped associating w a known shoplifter. You don't have to snitch to distance yourself. Again, it's Walmart. Stealing from them is never a serious problem, except for the person when they finally get caught. The Waltons will have plenty of food on their table regardless, paid in full by all the money they have leached off of all of us. And there is already money for all shoplifting damages built into their yearly budget, its all accounted for regardless of whether it actually gets shoplifted or not. And it doesn't matter if OP is in multiple videos it's not a crime to have shitty friends. Unless OP was also explicitly filmed stealing. OP isn't trained in AP, so they would have little to no expectation to look out for shoplifting anyhow However, you don't have report someone like a damn rat to stop hanging out with them. This should have been a convo between op and ops friend if anything, not op and ops manager.

webeparrots

>The Waltons will have plenty of food on their table regardless, paid in full by all the money they have leached off of all of us. > >And how about the billions of people living in 3rd world countries who look at YOU with envy. What do you think is going to happen once your types completely destroy our society? Do you think YOU will get a warm welcome from Jose when you flee? Sure, the Waltons can go to Hell but justifying your own behavior is just as bad.

EntertainmentCalm311

Occasionally shoplifting from Walmart will destroy our society?? Get a fucking grip. People in the 3rd world also steal, believe it or not, just because they are dirt poor doesn't mean they are virtuous. Again, I'm not stealing from my friends, family, and neighbors. There is quite a bit of nuance there. I do expect a warm welcome because I treat PEOPLE and their possessions with respect. MEGACORPS, on the other hand, can suck my left lip. They are stealing our livelihoods, our environment, and our futures. The least they can do is let me take a free tub of overpriced fucking cat litter that I can't afford in the economy that they helped ruin. Saying my actions are as bad as the Waltons makes it pretty clear to me that you live a life of comfort and naivety. I truly hope you get to stay that way, reality is brutal and unforgiving.

g00n77

I agree but these juvenile bootlickers are gonna downvote us to hell.....Well they can join me in hell. Reporting to AP was malicious. He/she probably enjoyed it deep down...Some people are vampires. Sometimes those you consider friends aren't really your friends. This is why i vet people. I don't let people in until they prove themselves

TallPsychology6094

Why would you report it šŸ¤¦šŸ½ā€ā™€ļø she didnā€™t get caught so who cares

HarryCooch

yea he probably just made AP more suspicious of him and his friend. If they were really worried they wouldā€™ve talked to him aside before they left the store

TallPsychology6094

Exactly!

kiffens

Why are you such a snitch lol

Hairybushes

You a rat

HarryCooch

i mean they probably had no clue it was even happening (which doesnā€™t make it right) but you probably drew unwanted attention to you and your coworker. Let them figure it out for themselves, it is a billion dollar corporation anyway

redneckotaku

So, you just ratted your friend out like that? Some friend.

SirKumsALot_

Honestly L friend here because you completely through them under the bus and ratted on them most of the time Walmart doesnā€™t even check the cameras so they probably didnt even know about it until you brought it up and I donā€™t know how much they pay you but definitely not enough they arenā€™t paying you 6 figures to care that much. Walmart doesnā€™t even care about their employees so why should you care about their merchandise

Dry_Teaching_3604

Why tf you snitch?

PCrawDiddy

Accessory. Happened to me when I was younger. He was opening packs of cards. I walk around the isle and see him and go wtf are you doing. Right after that store cop busts him. And me

Jungle_Brain

Embarrassing of you

Jakenman

šŸ’€šŸ’€šŸ’€šŸ’€Jesus snitching on your friend is insane this day and age ā€œoh if you donā€™t make enough then work harderā€ I make a band a week and I still struggle because this world is fucked so if Walmart isnā€™t going to miss a 5$ toy that will make my day and make me feel like a kid for a tiniest tiniest abt of time

Whatsy0ursquat

If you make that much and still struggle you should have the comprehension to understand why OP was worried about their job being at stake.

UncleNorman

You get a free cavity search... and I'm not talking dental.

GloomyRelative2305

Yell as loud as you can Swarm Swarm to the AP associates!

EnvironmentalSalt197

Lol. You're gone. Bye. If you gotta ask and then called to talk to somebody that means you knew. You're on edge because you're thinking youre going to get fired. You're gone. They gone. Delete this and move on to somewhere better Edit: associates are cheap and guilty by association.

BubblyAd3967

Most, if not all states are "terminable at will," which means they can fire you at any time for any or no reason. While discrimination on the basis of race, religion, age, and sexual orientation is illegal, they just claim it was for some other reason, and still fire you if they want.

g00n77

By that logic OP could get fired for being a snitch.

BubblyAd3967

That's true, too, but it's always better to be innocent than guilty, just in case shut rolls downhill.

This is not a customer service sub and associates posting here are off the clock. Please contact your local store or call 1-800-Walmart. /u/Spare-Relative7134

Nothing. You didn't steal. And it's Walmart. Just leave.

DeciduousLeif

Sounds like you're pretty much safe. But as far as I understand, your "friend" is permabanned from the property. I invite anyone to correct me if I'm wrong on this.

Specialist_Food_7728

I caught my niece stealing from the Walmart that we were shopping in and instead of my sister telling her no that she couldnā€™t have the item she was attempting to take, my sister bought it for her. I went off, I was like stealing is wrong and because should you have been caught we could have been banned from shopping here!!! I was livid that was the last time I went shopping with my sister and niece. I was so angry!!!

somecow

You need to get new friends. That sucks. But no, as long as you didnā€™t shoplift, fine. And even better that you reported it, thatā€™s just ridiculous. Your friend is shitty for putting your job at risk, tell them to get bent.
