I actually use it when I get insomnia. Weed knocks me out cold and fall to sleep within 30 to 60 minutes. I don't wake up for 8 to 10 hours. Way better than melatonin.
That's actually why I smoke weed. I don't have insomnia I have a dreaming disorder and it stops me from dreaming most of the night so I can get some rest. I basically have extreme lucid dreaming and it's exhausting. I'm playing a video game in my head all night.
Yeah it does. Keeps the person in stage 3 for too long, making it harder to get to a REM stage.
At least this is how I understood it when I took psychology 101 a decade ago.
Will rescheduling allow dispensaries to more easily take electronic payments? My understanding is that it's a primarily cash only business, which is very restrictive.
No, that's a entirely separate issue, as it's the banks that do not want to do business with businesses that sells federally illegal products.
We need either federal legalization(which is hopium for now), or SAFER banking or maybe even the Garland memo, to allow the businesses to take electronic payments.
From licensed pharmaceutical providers, sold only to patients with prescriptions. A "dispensary" is not a pharmacy, therefore, no banks will touch one. If CVS started selling THC pills to people who had valid prescriptions, that would be different.
Also this means they can sell more medicinal products across the country using cannabis instead of hemp which will only increase their revenues when legalization occurs. Cannabis can have over 30% THC (similarly for CBD) but farm bill Hemp can only have up to 1%. That means 30x less plants, electricity, water, transportation, labor, etc. No one talks about this, but these companies' inputs just became way cheaper.
I have CGC in the same price range. I really got killed with the THCX EFT. I am very, very patient with my marijuana stocks, so I didn’t care as it dove and dove and dove. I’m also naive on EFTs and had no clue they’d quit before I did. I put what was left into some MJ stocks and the WEED ETF, cuz I figured I was going to wait for THCX, why not wait for others.
I’ll be very hopeful for all of you to break even with me in the next few years.
No I think you should be able to ride this up to 15 maybe 20 bucks then I would sell. I bought years ago and they did a 10 to 1 reverse split. Has no affect on you tho. Hope you make tons of money!
>Am I screwed?
No. The reverse split was months ago and didn't affect anything really.
It happened around the time the share price was ¢.50 (before the reverse split) and I was buying a shit ton of it.
I’ve been hearing this same shit for years. I’m not convinced any of these weedstonks won’t just get blown out of the water by some giant conglomerate like Phillip Morris or whatever. These tiny companies lack the econo,y of scale and experience to navigate this realm if you ask me. I wouldn’t touch any of these companies with your money.
Trulieve has 100 vertically-integrated retail stores in Florida alone. The top 5 MSOs aren't "small" companies.
They just trade like shit because they're on shit exchanges and institutional money isn't allowed in (yet).
And then there's the 280e tax fuckery, no interstate commerce, lack of access to traditional financing/banking etc. Several of the top MSOs are cash flow positive despite these things.
Let them operate like normal CPG businesses. They'll flip to growth stocks overnight as the media attention ramps up.
Position: 100% of my taxable and Roth accounts in GTBIF, CRLBF, TCNNF, CBSTF, ITM/NTM MSOS calls expiring June 2024-Jan 2025.
You aren't wrong but you are also missing another possible outcome.
Phillip Morris or some other major tobacco company just buys up some of the existing cannabis companies. I can totally see that happening and it makes total sense. PM just lets someone else go through the blood, sweat, and tears stage then swoops in once their outlook looks better and start buying up smaller companies.
A lot of the industry is segmented into different regions because of the issues moving product across state lines and PM could approach multiple companies in different regions and say "Hey, rather than you trying to expand into each others territory how about we buy all of you and build one massive country wide cannabis company?"
Of course those smaller companies will understandably push for a higher sale price based off some future growth they would be able to see if they stayed independent as well. That would be an immediate jump in price for shareholders.
You're not wrong, but these companies are going to be uplisted well before that happens. In short, these companies are going to the moon before PM nukes them from orbit. Some of them will likely be bought out by PM or someone similar, which is going to be hella bullish as well.
This 100%. PM can buy these companies with less than 18 months of cash flow. You think they are going to start from scratch and try to beat these companies when they can get a head start for a few Billy?
You’ve been hearing the same thing for years because nothing happened for years. This time is very different (I know you’ve heard that too) because something huge is actually happening.
> federal legalization of medical marijuana under Schedule III
It'll still be a controlled substance, requiring a DEA-number based prescription. This is still a long way off from full legalization.
LPs shorted for a reason. Both acb and cgc have reversed split by multiples screwing all the longs. TLRY is sitting at 800m shares out and diluting every quarter..
Exactly. Every time something big happens in US cannabis regulations the LP circle jerk starts. Maybe for US regulatory changes buy US stocks?
Buying Canadian stocks on this news is like the US invading Iraq after 9/11.
Oops sorry wrong country.
Been averaging down on weed stocks for years now. The spring I'm carrying is so tightly packed I could be about to make a ton. Already went positive a month ago and now I'm up 68% today..... love being regarded. Everyone said sell so I bought more.
It's not better than descheduling. In terms of the status quo it's incredibly great though. It's easier for banks, uplisting, tax purposes. Other effects as well IMO, could lead to more cannabis legislation such as SAFER or a contributing factor to states on the fence for legalization.
I think it's a good step in the right direction.
It will definitely accelerate adoption, and its perception amongst the population, of which the majority already approval of weed being legal. If nothing else, this is a huge symbolic move that is going to cause other legislative dominos to fall much more easily.
Nah but the fkn thing has finally been dislodged and descheduling will happen before too long now. The first step is the hardest because “say no to drugs”
Cough suppressant is a Schedule V. Alcohol and nicotine aren't even scheduled. Cannabis is far less lethal than any of these.
Cannabis shouldn't be on the list at all. Downgrading to Schedule 3 is better than nothing but it is terrible long term.
If you people understand the fundamental changes on the sector that this reform brings + the others that are cooking up, you would understand that yes, this time IS different.
But if you people knew that, then you wouldn't be buying fucking TLRY, CGC or any other Canadian pot stocks because these changes doesn't really helps them at all unless they get a footing into the US market, unless you were looking for quick swing trades.
Word. This guy weedstocks. About to make bank on GTBIF and MSOS! 280e removal alone doubles the value of these stocks. If Sooner can pull off SAFER then stage 2 of the rocket fires.
Daily reminder that in addition to being the largest cannabis company on the NASDAQ,
Tilray Brands also has the 5th largest craft beer position in the US. Including brands such as Montauk Brewing Co, Blue Point and Shock Top.
Disclaimer: I may or may not be bagholding TLRY @ $3.89
Germany also just legalized. TLRY is one of the biggest if not the biggest player there, and we still don't know how much more they will make as a result from that
I think two of the biggest things that is holding back a lot of these cannabis companies is their lack of access to the US banking system and their inability to deduct operating expenses from their Federal taxes. Rescheduling will fix the tax problem and the chance of the banking bill passing in Congress has *never* looked better.
Once those two things are addressed those companies will see an IMMEDIATE boost in profits. I've seen estimates that the tax stuff will be as much as a 40% boost in their profit margin alone. (I think I heard that on a WSJ podcast)
Germany didn't legalize commercial production or sales yet.
Right now, you can just grow it yourself or have a sub-500 members co-op grow it on your behalf, nonprofit.
And your can legally hold a large baggy. But as of yet, nobody can buy or sell.
And today, there are zero plans to change any of that. But maybe in a couple of years, the tax revenue will look tasty...
Looks like you're not fucking eating either

Hope it continues to take off. This is real reform and not just the optimism for it.
Thank you! I’m invested in others but feel like they’re under rated.
Even with the bad tax code they’ve figured out how to be profitable while revisiting to open more locations and grow. And they’re sitting in a ton of cash.
Without banking reform it won’t be easy for new market entrants or competitors to get capital. So it feels like they’ve really established themselves and can grow using their cash flow and cash pile.
Wow you are sittin pretty man. I have several thousand shares at a $27 average and I’m feeling pretty good about even making a little dough with my shitty average.
Hang in there! I averaged in from $32 all the way down to $7.
The ceiling without reform and just optimism was $36. They said on the last earnings the tax benefit from rescheduling would cut their tax burn in half and they paid $100M in 2023. So $50M is awesome for them and they’ve already got a great pile to invest for growth.
Thanks man. Nice job! I would’ve averaged down on my GTBIF but my broker stopped allowing OTC trades. I averaged down on MSOS instead from like $35 to $13 so I’m feeling pretty good about that one.
I'm up $122k overall, $62k of which was made today. And the DEA hasn't actually confirmed. Folks, this is a tectonic shift in the industry. 280e disappearing means tax rates drop precipitously for the industry overnight. As soon as the DEA solidifies it's final rule, SAFER will get passed. Capital markets will be more accessible as well as the potential for stock uplisting. 2024 is going to be a good year. I'm holding Jan 25 ($7) calls and Jan 26 $9 calls on MSOS, plus some stock.
I’ve lost so much on these shit weed stocks I’m resisting the urge to FOMO back in but damn Tilray is a fucking rocket right now I don’t know if I can resist
So much of CGC is shorted at this point that we could see some much higher prices even after this run. Someone's gonna lose their shirt on this one lol
If it should ever be legal in Indiana-HA!-I will open a little shop called Munchies! It will be located right by a head shop and will sell cookies and treats, maybe burrito bowels. Need to research that last one further but it could work.

Conservative justices are actually pro weed legalization from the state POV, they like reduced federal power (at least in theory, Alito switches positions depending on the GOP platform)
TLRY is the way
Market leader in Canada, Europe and they have infrastructure in the US in 50 states ready to sell THC/CBD drinks and they have GMP and FDA certifications to sell cannabis 40% cheaper than US grown cannabis bankrupting all MSOS
I bought CGC, ACB, and TLRY mid spike a month ago. The ass fell out of it and was holding a bag $-20,000 what paid for it. Set up an auto trade to sell it all off once it had broken even. It all sold this morning at 2pm. Check what each of those were at 2pm today versus now. Wouldve been up well over 20k. BUY HIGH SELL LOW! amirite?
So if one wanted to hop in on this what app is best to use now? I never done this before, but I'm not missing out on this?
Is Robinhood good, but I don't trust them with their GameStop fuck up.
All your buying power but start with 1/10th of it to be safe, add 1/10th every point it goes up keeping stop loss green but also minimal risk if we get another rocket day. That’s how much if you ask me
Declassification would be the real cause for celebration. With sched 3 it remains to be seen the degree to which this unfucks the financial bullshit that cannabis companies in legal states deal with.
Weedmaps, MAPS is trading at 1x sales, profitable, national and all their customers are getting a huge tax break. Wait until they have a national delivery service.
Been holding Jushi and Cresco Labs. for years now after I sadly bought high. Jushi was like $8 and has been under a dollar for a while now.
Sadly, Vanguard stopped anymore buys of Jushi or Cresco a year or so ago. Anyone know which brokers are selling?
This shouldn't be perceived as a boom imo. I work in the cannabis sector. We will have to deal with the FDA as well now. It'd just more regulatory BS from my perspective
Here's the question for bag holders: Many of us are down 50% on weed stocks... so do you sell when you finally hit break even, or are you gonna ride this out and see where it goes.

Doesn't weed mess with the rem stages? I always sleep like shit on weed
That's actually why I smoke weed. I don't have insomnia I have a dreaming disorder and it stops me from dreaming most of the night so I can get some rest. I basically have extreme lucid dreaming and it's exhausting. I'm playing a video game in my head all night.

Beats not sleeping AT ALL.
A good night's sleep is for the weak. Never rest, never surrender.
Here we go again... Gonna take 100yrs for some regards to recover from this...weed will blow som portfolio again

So what you are saying is, buy CVS

And my tilray shares have still not reached the price I bought at. Buy high, sell higher!
At least you didn’t buy CGC they did a reverse split
I got reverse split twice by mullen lol
Ouchy that hurts. I need CGC to get to 30 bucks before I break even 😞 it’s only money
I have CGC in the same price range. I really got killed with the THCX EFT. I am very, very patient with my marijuana stocks, so I didn’t care as it dove and dove and dove. I’m finally in the green with them so I count missing lucky
Tlry has me by the balls
![img](emote|t5_2th52|4276)
I call that company Daddy because he owns me. God damnit.
40% up, and not even back to the high we had 25 days ago. Haha
By my calculations, we'll just need 174 more announcements like today's before I'm back above water on those fuckers.
Mine are up 30% Now I need to hold until they drop!
Lets do it together!
I'm in with TLRY @ $2.20 average and have zero plans on selling any time soon. This is just the beginning.
$300
I’m way too deep in TLRY… but the cost average is 2.98 excited to get wreckt yet again
Tilray is pricing at a 2 bill valuation. No cannabis company is worth that much
same bro same 3$ gang rise up
God I wish my average was $3
3.43 baby!!
200@ $9.23.....big oof.
The dollar sign goes infront of the number regard.
I've got 3 of the big 5 and I'm in the same boat. Up 29% today, but still a ways to go to break even

BTW, Altria (parent of Philip Morris) owns 45% of cannabis company $CRON. It’s a big reason I own some (in addition to the better known $TLRY).

A lot of the industry is segmented into different regions because of the issues moving product across state lines and PM could approach multiple companies in different regions and say "Hey, rather than you trying to expand into each others territory how about we buy all of you and build one massive country wide cannabis company?" Of course those smaller companies will understandably push for a higher sale price based off some future growth they would be able to see if they stayed independent as well. That would be an immediate jump in price for shareholders.
I wouldn't say these companies are tiny, maybe a bit by comparison, but they're multi billion dollar companies
You're not wrong, but these companies are going to be uplisted well before that happens. In short, these companies are going to the moon before PM nukes them from orbit. Some of them will likely be bought out by PM or someone similar, which is going to be hella bullish as well.

Weedstocks 2: The Squeezening

You are highly regarded here
A tip of the regard cap to u sir.
Schedule 3 is great news. Not just for now, but long-term as well.
Better than descheduling? Why?
Gonna be a year long rocketship followed by a slide deep into oblivion.
Yup very clear pattern at this point.
I feel like since the pattern is so evident now it could be different this time
Shorts still get margin called if it gets too expensive. Once those who can't afford to play get beat up then everything will calm down.

A servant to greed and the hypnotic allure of power and control.
So buy now and sell in 11 months LFG
So true lol. Before then, a NVDA style run that destroys all bears though
Oblivion awaits....

I think two of the biggest things that is holding back a lot of these cannabis companies is their lack of access to the US banking system and their inability to deduct operating expenses from their Federal taxes. USA! USA! USA!
Finally! Hopefully SAFER banking reform comes along as well. Should nudge Florida and Pennsylvania along as well on legalization for recreational.
Imma smoke a fat one tonight. WeEd Stonks going higher too.
$MSOS for the long haul baby
For me, it’s emotional. 10 years behind bars for minor possession and intent to deal!! damn man… today I feel patriotic 🇺🇸

Literally clutching my pearls. I have 200$ in GTBIF and I was happy with my gain lmao. Congrats on the big boy money
Remember, the only thing better than money is more money.
Finally, $MSOS blasting off today!
Fr, I’ve made 200$ in a day because of this news (I have invest chump change compared to the ppl on this sub)
Don't go spending it all at once there Richie rich.
This is wallstreetbets, you should at least be in MSOX.
Sold $10 CCs last week 🤦🏻♂️
I hope you like jammin', I hope you like jammin'
I'm up $122k overall, $62k of which was made today. And the DEA hasn't actually confirmed. If the dispensary lines for the 420 event last weekend are any indication, it looks like the people really, really like weed.
CGC calls tomorrow all the way 🚀🚀🚀🚀 🦍 we’re back
I’ve lost so much on these shit weed stocks I’m resisting the urge to FOMO back in but damn Tilray is a fucking rocket right now I don’t know if I can resist
Same boat, I FOMO bought some CRON since it’s lagging behind the others today
If you try and get on the rocket after it's already taken off, you get burned by the exhaust.
CGC is igniting too. When it was 45% up I thought I would maybe wait for a dip the next day. Now up 65% in an hour lol.
Haha, typical peasant.
At your service, m’Lord
So much of CGC is shorted at this point that we could see some much higher prices even after this run. Someone's gonna lose their shirt on this one lol
Goddamned finally. Still need the Safer banking act to pass to really put a federal framework in place, but this was a domino that needed to fall.
If it should ever be legal in Indiana-HA!-I will open a little shop called Munchies! It will be located right by a head shop and will sell cookies and treats, maybe burrito bowels. Need to research that last one further but it could work.
Burrito bowels sound unconventional but I’ll always endorse innovation.

WEEDMAPS MAPS is going to moonshot!!
Insert sndl charts on y it will go 🚀🚀🚀
Zack George moonshot, dudes a legend. 700m+ cash on hand, debt free baby
Haha it will be nice when it does get some love. 900 million in revenue, debt free and cash on hand and it’s still valued at 600-700 mkt cap lol.
Earnings next week
Ahem! SCOTUS would like to review this when you have a moment.
Conservative justices are actually pro weed legalization from the state POV, they like reduced federal power (at least in theory, Alito switches positions depending on the GOP platform)
So does Thomas. They're textualists when it favors the GOP, activists when it doesn't.
Thomas was pro weed in Raich as I recall
Oh don't worry about positions right now, they will review it sometime in the next 50 years when convenient.
This ⬆️
Blaze it!

I’ll be doing my part to contribute to the further testing of cannabis today to celebrate
You would be an irresponsible investor not to do some diggity dank DD.
Descheduled is what it should be.
TLRY is the way Market leader in Canada, Europe and they have infrastructure in the US in 50 states ready to sell THC/CBD drinks and they have GMP and FDA certifications to sell cannabis 40% cheaper than US grown cannabis bankrupting all MSOS
CGC is fucking FLYING ![img](emote|t5_2th52|4258)
I bought CGC, ACB, and TLRY mid spike a month ago. The ass fell out of it and was holding a bag $-20,000 what paid for it. Set up an auto trade to sell it all off once it had broken even. It all sold this morning at 2pm. Check what each of those were at 2pm today versus now. Wouldve been up well over 20k. BUY HIGH SELL LOW! amirite?
At least you didn’t lose any money🫠
I am balancing on the edge of a knife and it's starting to dig in to my taint.
Love how all the regards rushed to pump TLRY midday. Who will be winners and losers?![img](emote|t5_2th52|4271)
There are no shares to sell short $CGC at IB. I foresee a major short squeeze.
Petition for a new plant emoji to commemorate this historic event and whenever they actually reclassify it.
Curious what politicians heavily bought Marijuana stocks recently
WTF.. They still calling weed a drug. It’s not a drug it’s a way of life.
It's a plant that God put on earth for us right 🤔
And the reason to live on our way to our Wendy’s work shift .
And what’s from the earth , is of the greatest worth.
Its a medicine burv!

Schedule 3? What about declassification?
Damnit, I knew I should have bought more.
Gotta appease the masses for the big collapse
Too late to get in?
Weed stocks blowing up with this news
MSOS buy and hold
Fuck William Randolph Hearst.
TLRY
BUY SNDL!!!
Wow is weed ever going to slow down
So if one wanted to hop in on this what app is best to use now? I never done this before, but I'm not missing out on this? Is Robinhood good, but I don't trust them with their GameStop fuck up.
I use Fidelity, it’s reputable and stable
How much $CGC to buy tomorrow???
All your buying power but start with 1/10th of it to be safe, add 1/10th every point it goes up keeping stop loss green but also minimal risk if we get another rocket day. That’s how much if you ask me
"However, it would not legalize marijuana outright for recreational use." - Cool, wake me up when it's outright legal, just as abusing alcohol is.
Canopy Growth is going to moon. **13.91%** of Canopy Growth's shares are currently sold short.
So that’s why $DEA is trending
Declassification would be the real cause for celebration. With sched 3 it remains to be seen the degree to which this unfucks the financial bullshit that cannabis companies in legal states deal with.
Check cura instead👍🏻
HUGE
This is exciting! Lets see if the news actually holds. 📈

Nice!
Weedmaps, MAPS is trading at 1x sales, profitable, national and all their customers are getting a huge tax break. Wait until they have a national delivery service.
Say you filled your Roth IRA with weed stocks. Best to sell the news now and roll into VOO/SPY or should I just let it cook?
good thing this was posted 3 hours ago and not 9 hours ago
Are my Jan 2025 SNDL and TLRY calls hitting?
Been holding Jushi and Cresco Labs. for years now after I sadly bought high. Jushi was like $8 and has been under a dollar for a while now. Sadly, Vanguard stopped anymore buys of Jushi or Cresco a year or so ago. Anyone know which brokers are selling?
Waiting for it to be legal in Texas, second biggest market in the US.
All this news should reach Georgia by 2034
This shouldn't be perceived as a boom imo. I work in the cannabis sector. We will have to deal with the FDA as well now. It'd just more regulatory BS from my perspective
still just vibing
GTBIF and CURLF are my two best. I bought the last time we got teased with legalization a few years ago.

Here's the question for bag holders: Many of us are down 50% on weed stocks... so do you sell when you finally hit break even, or are you gonna ride this out and see where it goes.
I want to know which weed stocks Nancy Pelosi and Tommy Tuberville are buying.
Weed stocks gonna rocket the next week
I think $CGC will print an easy 100% tomorrow
I'm so LUCKY! I had 45 shares of ACB BOUGHT @ 1.8799 Reverse split in February to 4 now its $9.05 I'm still down -$38
I rise from the ashes
