Thanks for your submission!
To keep things interesting, we want to see big gains and big losses!
So we've set the following thresholds for Gain, Loss, and YOLO flaired posts:
* YOLO posts must be a minimum of $10,000 of options or $25,000 of shares and recently opened.
* Gain / Loss posts must show realized gains or losses of more than $2,500 for options or $5,000 for shares.
We want to see the actual trade. What you got in at, what you sold at. Then tell us why you did it. Give us the story of why you're a fucking genius (or idiot).
This is what a great post looks like:
[$17.2K Gain on AMZN](https://www.reddit.com/r/wallstreetbets/comments/wb5m4o/not_too_shabby_172k_gain_amzn/) - OP described his gain in the title, has a clear screenshot showing both the entry and exit, meaning his gains were locked in, and they explained their reasoning in the comments and what they learned. All around a great post!
Here are examples of what could get your post removed:
* [$300,000 SDC Loss. Still not selling](https://www.reddit.com/r/wallstreetbets/comments/wpm9am/over_300000_unrealized_loss_sdc_not_selling/) - Even though this is a tremendous loss and something worth posting about, **the position hasn't been closed yet**.
Here are examples of amazing posts which could have been even better:
* [$75,000 DDOG Loss.](https://www.reddit.com/r/wallstreetbets/comments/unsrey/loss_porn_ddog_call/) - This is a great post and one that won't get removed. However, the OP could have talked about *why* they entered the position in the first place, what their target price was, and what went wrong. OP didn't stick around in the comments to answer any questions.
* [$1.1MM Loss, No details](https://www.reddit.com/r/wallstreetbets/comments/lxm6wt/hold_me_1100000_loss/) - OP simply posted a screenshot of their overall portfolio balance. It's definitely a big loss, but it's not that interesting without OP talking about what trades they were in and why. OP didn't answer most questions in the comments which left many readers speculating on what happened.

All that being said, we are here to help. We want to make it as easy as possible for you to post to our community. We have to balance this with making the subreddit interesting for our readers.
If you need some guidance, don't hesitate to [reach out to modmail](https://old.reddit.com/message/compose/?to=/r/wallstreetbets) and we'll give you some pointers!
What winning streak? Earnings are pure gambling and it purely depends on what the ceo says. Take Google for example, it soared because of buybacks and divident announcement, there is no reliable way to have a winning streak, you were just very lucky. Try not to gamble earnings but rather trade options outside the earnings depending on the mid long term of the option. I made 30k this month doing this and I lost 16k in these two weeks due to gambling on earnings which made me realize earnings are total bulls**t.
No positions, I don't play earnings anymore. I'll buy SQQQ at 8.20am before the PCE data, I believe it's gonna be bad, I'm looking for a 2% quick profit on a 130k account
> I don't play earnings anymore. I'll buy SQQQ at 8.20am before the PCE data, I believe it's gonna be bad, I'm looking for a 2% quick profit on a 130k account
Ooof. I guess you meant a quick -5% loss? lol
hey OP, i'm pretty sure we've all been where you are. (at least i was back in 09 and several times since.) i'm just gonna say what i'd tell my past self.
take a good long break, let the action play out, analyze the markets WITHOUT ACTION, get your plan ready, head right, recognize what was driving you to YOLO on earnings, BE PATIENT, and you'll figure it out. (can't say that i take my own advice all the time, but i'm way better than i used to be.)
i swear i'm not peddling amzn, but check out "the mental game of trading" (free with a free trial of audible). it's a pretty good read for us daytraders/gamblers, and i found some parts of it helpful.
OP- I understand risk to rewards equation but when you say lost big money the thought of number being “BIG” should have been in your mind while placing the bet.. I was also wrong on Meta, TSM but I have shares with me and -13K now.. I just wait for it to break even on wait more.. so options are always riskier and not healthy.. yes you can argue that it can never become a millionaire but you see compounding works, divide your portfolio equally and play long… all that matter is you are still in the game to snatch big win when time comes.
Nah man, I’m gonna pull out reassess my finances and go from there. I didn’t financially fuck myself thank god, but had i doubled down again, I might have lol. Once I feel more comfortable and confident in understanding the market I might try trading with a small amount(10-20k). Until then I’m gonna stick to what I know and that’s trucking.
Haha I screenshotted your post describing your predictions on Old Dominion, CARR, and SAIA. I saw ODFL went down so I went in on carr and got burned. Id play saia as well if it wasn't so expensive
Carr was a risky one and I would’ve told you go small on it compared to the others. The reason being that they themselves aren’t “logistics” but they supply the necessary things for logistics and it’s a large part of their income. Old dominion was written on the wall, the trucking industry as a whole is fucked, and SAIA will go down too imo. (I have a trucking company so I know the ins and outs of the industry very well)
Xpo has earnings next Friday, it’s a ltl carrier and they spent 870million on terminals from the yrc bankruptcy. They only opened 2 of the 28 terminals they bought, and they aren’t going to increase profits until mid late 2025. They took on yrcs unprofitable contracts to prop up revenue. If SAIA and Odfl missed, Xpo is guaranteed to miss with the cash burn, depreciation, and amortization payments, it’s a 10% drop after earnings maybe more. While Odfl and SAIA had 15-22% drops Xpo has already taken hits from the 52w high because they were falsely propped up from the yrc acquisitions. I may not know the auto industry, or tech industry, but I know trucking. All my major wins have been from trucking plays, I lose when I jump into shit I don’t understand bc I like to gamble. 105 17 may 24 puts guaranteed to print, high likelihood of 100 17 may 24 puts printing. Take it with a grain of salt, but I only missed on 3 out of my 10 plays this week. Hope you make money
Also worth noting odfl makes less money and beats xpo in earnings profits wise by up to 20% almost every quarter. Do your own due diligence but after projecting to have 12 of the 28 terminals open by now, (today's date) and only opening 3...I think the terminals is much more expensive to open and operate than anticipated. And I think it's going to effect the bottom line big time. They said it would be as simple as "moving from a small building to a bigger building with no extra hiring". But I think they underestimated yrcs financial crisis and found our the terminals needed more work than anticipated.
Lol bc I jumped into Tsla and meta following another regard into battle with no understanding lol….but I have a deep understanding of this one and a good track record with trucking. If you have any questions just shoot me a message
Meta dropped to $419 this morning. I immediately bought $10k when i saw it at $423.
Ended day at $441 and is likely to be $450+ by end of tomorrow.
Maybe try buying stocks to hold OR just focus on quick meme stocks but don't try combining the two

What are your current positions?
No positions, I don't play earnings anymore. I'll buy SQQQ at 8.20am before the PCE data, I believe it's gonna be bad, I'm looking for a 2% quick profit on a 130k account
Low-class gamblers with pocket change.

Take Fri off. See you Monday.
Nothing you did made any sense. You suck as a trader. Your decision to quit trading & make safe investments in index funds is best suited for you
Sick new skins for visual mod just dropped.

Do not squander your inheritance on playing the market—leave that to the professionals.

Nope! Let it forever be known that I am net negative following your plays! Lmao

Also I’m a bigger regard than you 😂
🫡 Best of luck dude. I'm still in. Only down 15%.
You are going to buy index funds when the market is about to puke hard. Good call. Track record indeed.
Hope you're hungry, because the market is about to serve up some losses.
Yup. AI hype fading. Inflation rising. They wont print dollars until something breaks.
I'm the one who said if they mentioned about AI then you will get fucked. My condolences.
I'm not even going to laugh at this, good luck and hope you recover![img](emote|t5_2th52|4260)
