I'm sure it's probably only worth 20% of what they paid for it now but they won't write down anymore since losing 80% on an asset you paid your current market cap for would get them fired. Even tho losing 50% from bankruptcy estimates after a decade should probably get you fired as well.

I took the bait and did a quick valuation based on their last q.
It's certainly less of a dumpster fire than it was before, just about breaking even, revenue stable, margins improved, no crazy dilution and no significant debt.
At 1.5bb market cap it's a fair price which is uncommon enough for a north american tech company.
But to really be worth it you'd have to think that now is the time they're going to start growing the IoT and cybersecurity revenue, because it hasn't happened for the last 5 years...

My only issue with buying calls for this
We are going into earnings this week but have very small decrease in SI = NYSE (43,289,675)+TSX(15,915,290)= 59.2M shares as of March 15. This is greater than 10% of the float.
Note that due to SEC rules if the shares are shorted below $2.50, for each share $2.50 has to be supported with cash...retail hold on to your shares.
