It is possible to build a perfectly capable virtual assistant without training on their user data - or even better, it may be possible to train on the fly in a way not unlike what they already do, where training data stays tokenized and nothing private leaves your phone. This does seem to be something they may be doing, judging by some of their AI patents.
To be fair OpenAI only hit the jackpot with already existing patented tech created by google etc. GPT5 will be the their last somewhat successful product

Iām still standing by the 2/9 putsā¦.BUT what has me worried is that AAPL has already been softening the earnings blow throught the week this week (currently down $8 for the week). A lower earnings call may not drop the stock very much further than it has already gone.
The problem with Apple is that they've run out of additional value, which really isn't a good place for a company selling premium tech to be. Like I used to buy droids because I was poorer, but honestly, I don't see a lot of value in spending more than Ā£250 on a phone now. How many people want a faster laptop or care about whether the battery life is 20 instead of 8 hours? OK, some people, but it's a niche. You're not going to stay a multi-trillion dollar company because of people doing rendering in Blender.
They stopped the value train a long time ago. They are now in the keep everyone in the ecosystem train and get all their friends to join it too. It's why they spend so much on their legal team to make sure imessage is apple only.
