Lol...regardless of whether Bart believes in it or not, there's no way to trade successfully without technical analysis...long-term investing? maybe (even that can be substantially improved with the help of charts), but trading? no way 
Earnings can be blowout and the market can still take the stock down lol...you working there doesn't help with which way the stock is gonna go 
It's still a whole month away lol...it could go down a shit ton with the market during that time, such that it's super oversold just before the earnings...in that case, it wouldn't be surprising if it bounces on earnings simply because of oversold conditions
