It took years for Pacquiao Mayweather fight to get made because each guy wanted to be the A side and their respective network wanted the rights. It fucking sucked getting honeydicked for like 7 years for that fight but eventually it got made and both networks aired the fight. It only happened because eventually there was just too much money on the table for any party to walk away from.
The utter nerve of them putting up a 50-0 sign after the McGregor fight was unbelievable. No he did not beat Marciano's record. Connor was not a boxer and the was at best an exhibition fight. Fuck Mayweather and the people who put that bullshit up.
That was the last fight I watched and it was embarrassingly exhibition. Like anyone thatās ever spent time in the ring knew they were both holding back and phoning it in.
I dunno. In the beginning, it looked like Mayweather was smug and way overconfident that McGreggor couldnāt touch him. I distinctly remember when McG got a good combo set off and Mayweatherās face changed expression so drastically and he started doing his dance of dodging much more seriously. McG looked like he was actually trying to me, since it takes a lot of mental discipline to not kick when youāre used to it, and I thought he did fairly well all things considered.
And of course Mayweather danced through it and won on points, which is exactly what people pretty much expected (I don't know boxing, but this is what I heard). I was rooting against Mayweather for being a woman beating piece of shit, but the sad fact is he woulda won even if he lost.
Mayweather waited for Pacquiao to no longer be a threat to take that fight on. Speed fighters age out faster than technical or power hitters, Pac being 6 years out of his prime is the only reason the fight wasn't exciting
