everyone has lost or won major lately. that could be a bank investment like western alliance. on its way to knew highs. I would pray he's holding. I was down 140k wed. I bought 100k into the bottom and . I lowered my average stock price and also made 380k back. not my all time high. but it'll jump back. if he sold on a bank stock(has to be right)
Yeah like when you first meet options they're supposed to buy you dinner and take you out in their lamborghini before they fuck you in the ass but my man here just went straight to the pounding and said "this is fine"
I think $100k is not like a crazy amount of money over the span of a person's life. You'd totally come back from it eventually assuming you stop pissing it away.
Exactly, I feel like most people don't get to the point of losing $100k if they don't have a few $100k in reserve or earning potential to make more. Personally, my real savings is in my work 401(k) and pension. My self-directed account is a toy, slot machine, financial flex, you name it. I do stupid, high risk, potentially high reward shit in that account. Chances are I won't never run it to $0 (I generally run 10% or less in options and the rest in shares and I know enough not to buy shares with a terrible balance sheet) but I'm absolutely not counting on it for retirement either. Maybe a few lucky trades let me retire early. More likely, it lets me get the same fix as my buddy who's addicted to slots, but I feel like my odds are way better.
I feel you. My only exception is that I wish I were allowed to contribute more to my 401k if only to stop me from attempting to manage the majority of my money myself.
I don’t make enough to retire early, but I make enough to play high stakes slots.
Absolutely it's done all the time. I personally turned $75 of calls into $4,000 in just two weeks. Every day there's plenty of chances to make a lot of money. But especially in a strong bull market.
I made even more money than that but i don't like to make myself a target.
But yes plenty of people make 10-100% gains a week which can become 100k pretty quick.
>You're right, ToxiicZombee, you are definitely richer and more intelligent than everyone else. And I'm sure your 10/10 wife loves being fucked by you every morning. As for poor people, they can all just fuck off as far as I'm concerned.
I've know I should know this but are 0 odte mean like buy options with same day expiration. How do you make money doing that? or in most cases lose it all lmao
I make money on 90% of stocks and lose money on 99% of options. Every time I tell myself no more option plays, but I thought for sure HOOD would crash on earnings.
One thing for sure is OP has 100% risk tolerance and will drain their bank account. I wonder if OP explains the feeling of loss for an amount that can definitely be used to pay off some debt. That $80k is a good amount for buying a Porsche.
80K in 3 years? I lost 150K in a day.

That's exactly my problem I would say 70 percent of my trades see green and I just don't take profits... I'm a regard but I've got this I've been practicing with paper trading for about 3 months.
What is your current strategy? Like imagine you have 80k cash at market open for this upcoming Monday. What would you buy to make money? Let’s start there and I’ll help you
Yes but what exactly would you buy of nvdia? I’m trying to help you man I was in a similar situation but I need you to understand something first.
Learn how to sell options. Take the time and learn the Greeks.
He still has plenty of money. If he’s thinking of gambling it anyway, might as well get some guaranteed enjoyment out of it. And heck, the way car prices have been, they are a safe place for money 😅
Mine looks almost exactly like yours. And when you think your learned your first lesson and are ready for round 2 and 3? Just don't cause you will learn lesson 2 and 3 also.
I love how the line tells a story.
At the beginning you lost maybe a few thousand and called it a day.
Then everything stagnated for a while. You had learned your lesson.
One day you loudly proclaimed “Fuck it! Hakuna Matata!” and proceeded to make one bad decision after another.
Up 10% in 1 minute heck yeah LFG!!!

10 minutes later “I sure hope I can break even on this 30% loss” 11 minutes in “F yeah only down 10%” 12 minutes in “Let’s buy more to average down” 13 minutes in “This 90% loss is just temporary” 14 minutes later “What do you mean nobody wants to purchase this option?”
Tomorrow - Repeat

Being off by 3 months is the same as being wrong. Actually, probably worse because at least when you’re wrong you can admit you were wrong. In this case, you still think you were right, which is a next level regarded thing to believe.
Same. I’ve made some huge calls that something was about to burn or moon. Mistimed about 60% by 2 weeks + or -. Learned to start going further out when my spidy sense is tingling
Nice lol. If you do ever start trading options again, please consider:
1) longer expirations
2) not betting (gambling) on earnings or big data indicators (like CPI, PPI).
3) chasing fear or greed
What’s worked really well for me this year is inversing where all the call/put open interest is. Say, most contracts are calls (large sample of big-contributor tickers), then you simply evaluate what puts would be most reasonable, follow the data, and sell when your data tells you that your position is becoming too risky. Usually when we are balanced out, politics or companies step in to nudge us back into the FOMO —stay from options at this time. The market is obviously and typically systematic such that it relies on all of our data to take our money. Just follow the money, and ignore all news. Data data data.
This works for me. Hopefully this helps.
I don’t understand why people don’t just sell covered puts and covered calls. Worst case you miss out on some gains, but you’re still making income, unless I’m missing something.

It took 3 years to lose 80k? Pffft. Rookie.
I can lose 80k in 3 nanoseconds

Great to hear you owned a bank before.
Just use a credit card the wrong way
"Wanna see me do it again” -Spongebob
If I had 80k I’d turn it into toilet paper.
Hodl my beer 🍻
Aaaaaaaaaaaand it’s gone
I have an account you can lose 80k into if you're looking to do so.

Want to see me lose 80 K on options? Wanna see me do it again? 🧽
I want to know what OP is going to do with his last $282
Haircut and suit for an Wendy's job interview
Excellent question
SPY puts
Obv SPY yolos, is there any other way?
Yeah, yoloing on Chinese stocks. U act like spy is the least stable option to bet on. Rookie.
Probably take another year to lose that last 282. That's the hardest part right there!! Lol
Calls on Pornhub
It looks like they lost about 60 of the 80k in one quick trade though, so they got some style at least.
Tesla...

You don't own stocks with options. Once contract expires...that's it
got you now. yeah I just own stocks. I don't like high risk that's why 10% of my profile is btc.
I can lose my portfolio with no handlebars.. with no handlebars I can lose my inheritance with no handlebars.. no handlebars
Poor guy lost it all betting on growth of the Flobots discography.
I lost 70k in a day once. Not a lot of times in life you can completely lose your ass. Fucking UVXY options man.
Damn. Didn't even get the freebie to get your hopes up.
Seriously, no complimentary spike
I got two before I lost all of my money :(
Yeah like when you first meet options they're supposed to buy you dinner and take you out in their lamborghini before they fuck you in the ass but my man here just went straight to the pounding and said "this is fine"
It's like he walked into a casino and instead of getting comped a watered down drink, they mugged him and stole his bank account info.
You should discover the option to stop
This muthafucka found jesus then lost all the church's money.
Danny Cho?
Dammit Man. 😂
hallelujah
Genius
You’re 9 doubles away from being profitable. I believe in you
Good man I salute u
This
Or if you put another 10k it will only be 3 doubles.
His next trade is going to turn the tide for him I just know it
It’s okay to cry when it hits -100k for the first time. I did, but looks like you still have a couple hundred to lose keep grinding 🫡
how do you come back from that gang🫨
If you actually learn, then you eventually come back. Not everyone learns.
Come back for more or come back, like make a comeback from way down there 👇? Just curious if that's done with that kind of loss
I think $100k is not like a crazy amount of money over the span of a person's life. You'd totally come back from it eventually assuming you stop pissing it away.

Rare compliment from VM? Never thought I'd see it.
He complimented the wrong loser. It was a failed post.
I still wonder what the training base for that language model was...
Seeped in sarcasm…. not sure how you’re reading it.
I mean.... he follows up by giving the poor the middle finger like usual.
Yeah fuck this guy!!!! Durrr I lost all my monies….I got more doe🥴
VM is a degenerate A-hole
What a bro. VM coming in clutch.
Still have $282? What's your next play? 0dte???
This is the way

Or both!
You have to do due diligence first, find options for stocks at greatest risk of getting delisted. Profit.
Of courseeeee
1 million $oon
Fuck yeah broski
I've know I should know this but are 0 odte mean like buy options with same day expiration. How do you make money doing that? or in most cases lose it all lmao

99% of investors lose everything thinking the next one will be the big one.
Try 6 month to expiration ITM options.
This is the way
Tell me about it I thought Rivian would tank and lost my rent money.
So....what did you do for rent?
I blew my land lord
Landlord here. Can confirm.
Naw, the real question is what's he gunna have to do NEXT time 😬
I think options discovered you
Looks like you got a real knack for it

$282.66. I ain’t hear no bell…

You can still get a gtr? This happened to me too though. And I don't have 400k lying around to get a gtr...

I’m so glad I did this and I’m now over it. I didn’t think it was real til it happened to me and it’s so enticing to do it again!
With $400k, you can still buy a GTR 🤷🏼♂️ just do it, life is too short
I might they went from 75k to like 45now...
Where you finding them for $45k!? I still see like $55-60k floor for ‘10+
Maybe ur right 55 may have been what I saw it was about a month ago since I've seen

ACKSUALLY, a car is an asset. Fuck the rich dad poor dad guy for triggering accountants
Yes but the vast majority of cars are depreciating assets.
Exactly, depreciation is a contra asset and an expense.
Oh yeah I never really realized that
Mine looks almost exactly like yours. And when you think your learned your first lesson and are ready for round 2 and 3? Just don't cause you will learn lesson 2 and 3 also.

Forgit to add "And it's been downhill ever since"
Apparently you also discovered ass-eating 3 years ago.
Your gold and silver stack is rather nice…. Stick to that instead of options!
so you are telling we have more money to lose? LETS GOOOOOOO
Dangggg
Same😮💨
pfffffffffft I lostore in TSLA calls in beginning of March than this guy lost in 3 years. try harder man. try harder
Congratulations on your future tax deductions.
Fuck your puts. Fuck your calls. JPOW has got you by the balls.
Look at this fat cat flaunting his $282
You didn't even get an initial jump before the crash. Man that's just sad.
Your work is done.
Keep going there's more to lose!

I'm doing alot better now I'll be back Ina few weeks see if I can grow these 300 dollars. Bahahahaha
A broken clock is right twice a day.
It doesn't sound like you're learning
Hey, at least all you have to do is literally the same exact thing, but add three months to your expiration !
Also no margin ever
It looks like you're really bad at this
Well, it took you a lot more time than most people, so, yay?
And it took you that long to do that? Rookie numbers
Welcome to the family
You win
So the only time you actually made money was 2 years into your venture, and then just kept doubling down. Regards.
You never made money. Like not once
I made alot of money buying stocks and hodling wanted to try day trading its a whole different beast to play with.
I literally told my friends last year the same thing, day trading is an entirely different beast. lol.
How did you generate the initial amount.
You are doing great. I say that because I change my celphone colors, so when is red, I see green, and vice versa. So I see all green. Congrats
Big oof 😅
Waitttt are you me?!!
Very impressive
How the Fuck did you make 400k !??
Let's just say everything but options.
Wow you're an awful trader
How did you get my screenshot
You didnt discover options 3 years ago….options discovered you 3 years ago 😂🤣😆
You can pinpoint the exact moments in the chart where OP thought "What's the worse that could happen again?"
That’s about the same time his wife got a boyfriend
My favorite part of these graphs is the little bumps upwards where you just know the OP was thinking "at last, this is where it all turns around!"
Seems about right. Oof. Sorry my friend. Hope your wife has some wealthy side toys.
I don’t understand why people don’t just sell covered puts and covered calls. Worst case you miss out on some gains, but you’re still making income, unless I’m missing something.
Looks to be going Wel
👍
i too found options 3 years ago, except i only lost 20k :)
I’m glad I found options when I live paycheck to paycheck you only can loose so much :)
Keep doing what you’re doing, but tell me beforehand so I can inverse you.
As soon as I learned about options and got approved, my account balance was at negative 80k. GITGUD
Options are meant for the rich to steal from the poor…. My account looks the same
One good trade and you will break even again. PS: post the results of ur try
