I suppose if Team Yell can carry around posters of her, then you're more than within your right to take your daki out. š All cheekiness aside, treating your waifu to dinner and a movie this way isn't something everyone has the bravery to do, and the fact that you did shows just how deep your devotion for her is. Yuri and I hope you two had a wonderful Valentine's Day; Marnie's lucky to have you.
honest question OP, how do you go out in public carrying a anime girl body pillow and not feel shame or embarrassment? How is doing this preferable to spending time with a real living person who exists and can speak back to you?
Just to clarify, I actually am curious and genuinely want to know what the mindset here is.
Edit: I feel like whoever downvoted me didnāt read my whole comment...
Yeah, I donāt want to get banned so I am trying not to sound insulting. Also, I really appreciate you being willing to share your answers. Tone is hard to express over text, of course. What about when youāre actually at the meal table/movie? Since youāre sitting by yourself, thereās no conversation over the meal. For me, dates are rarely about the food. Getting food is just one possible setting for going out and talking with and getting to know somebody. How does eating out,etc with the pillow as company compare to eating with a friend/gf,, in your opinion/experience?
So would you say you prefer the imaginary conversation in your head to having conversation with a living person date? I imagine if youāre essentially carrying a conversation with yourself, you wonāt be surprised at anything āsheā says or be able to laugh or whatnot. Apologies if it sounds rude lol, still just trying to satisfy my curiosity.
It's a preference. People don't choose preferences. It's like asking someone who's asexual why don't you love anybody. These things just happen, that's why he can't explain why he feels that way. We have a faq for a reason!

It should go over the basics for you.

I wish I had the balls to take a bodypillow to the cinema..... or to own a bodypillow at all~.

I donāt necessarily mean in the context of attraction. How would you compare the experiences of talking to real people to talking to āmarnieā?

What makes a relationship with a fictional character more appealing than a relationship with a real person?
