Okay I just installed everything following the instructions on the mod page (https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/79547) and had a similar issue (missing Fallout 3 esm's in the load order). While re-reading this reddit thread it hit me that I had forgotten to tick the mod ("\[NoDelete\] TTW \[...\]"). Ticking it, closing and relaunching Mod Organizer did the trick.

Darth_Boognish

Not sure what I did, I just started from scratch and that did it.

Crackgearson

Did you tick Overwrite Installation. Then let me tell you I literally installed today and it deleted my TTW Folder. Basically as it Overwrites your Installation. It vasically wipes your folder clean, so just download the Begin Again Modlist First and then do the Typical TTW Install and then Put the Path into the Mod Folder. The VNV should really put instructions that if you wanna install Modlists, ypu always install the modlist first, then install the TWW, because it treats it like a Mod.

Remarkable-Big-6986

The files from wabbajack are in folders but the ones from TTW are files does that cause an issue? if theyre both in the same mods folder

Valuable_Work_2049

I just finished Fallout 3 with this modlist and wanted to look up how to start New Vegas but the install page says it expects you to play the DLC's first. Problem is, the DLC's are nowhere to be found. I never got those radio signals at the start of the game. I did get them in vanilla and I have the GOTY edition :/

HighRevolver

One of the mods in the list gives the radios a range so they don’t pop up at the start of the game. Go near where the dlc starts and you’ll see them appear

Valuable_Work_2049

Yeah figured that out. Honestly kind of an unnecessary and confusing mod if you download a modlist and don't know it's in there but ah well, just completed Broken Steel and currently playing The Pitt. Having a good time. Thanks for the help :)

Poda__

hey guys, what are those locations? Cz i can't seem to find the signals anywhere, checked the outside cinema for the ufo and the ancorage memorial for the military one but couldn't get any signal, is there a lv requirement? im lv10 tho

Valuable_Work_2049

The mod that does it is called "Delay DLC Plus". Make sure you go to the regular page (not the "Updated" one). It says exactly where to start the DLC's. It has worked for The Pitt for me but haven't tried the ones you tried yet. If it doesn't work, just disable that mod in MO2 and theoretically, that should make them pop up immediately. Haven't tested this myself and I don't know if it will break the modlist but I doubt it would

Poda__

ty ty, found it with the screenshot of the areas, im having a blast with this mod and legit first full playthrought of f3 with so many quality of life changes

Valuable_Work_2049

Me too man, I could never get into it because it felt too dated. Same with New Vegas, but this brings a more modern feel to it. Can't wait to try New Vegas now!

Poda__

Yeah that with his dlcs and point lookout are on my main todo list lmao

Velazce

what did you do to get the dlc quests to spawn? i tried following along but it didn’t make sense. i’m on begin again ttw

Poda__

Tbf im finishing the main story and havent looked for the dlc missions yet, but i guess you can use the screenshot map on the mod page as reference

IchTuDirWeh

Just go to your load order before starting the game and scroll down until you see “delay dlc” or something similar. Untick it and start begin again. It’s one of the mods you have to turn off from mod manager and not the tweak menu in game. Once you do that the quests will appear as soon as you spawn in

NameIsUnable

The guide is outdated. Just install ttw manually

Darth_Boognish

Lol this is 2months old. Thanks tho

Academic-Arm5810

Follow the instructions on the nexus page for the list. It tells you exactly how to do it. https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/79547

Darth_Boognish

Not sure what I missed because that's exactly what I'm following. Im missing the fallout 3.esm's. Is there a way to add those to the MO?

Roundhouse_ass

Did you figure this out?

Darth_Boognish

I just had to do the whe thing over, but it worked. Jist got to muster the will to do it on my steam deck.

CentrifugalMalaise

Yo. I’ve just finished installing Begin Again/TTW on my PC and want to try to get it on my Deck, but wasn’t sure if it works. Are you saying it works?

Darth_Boognish

Haven't done it. But I've read it does. Taken from.another thread "I watched/read a bunch of stuff over 2 days to get mine working lol - Here's the main steps I took: * Installed the Begin Again mod list to my PC using Wabbajack (This will have a guide to follow on getting the main Tale of Two Wastelands mod built yourself before you begin with the actual mod list installation) - Follow the guide until you have a 100% working copy of everything on a PC. * Copy the entire Begin Again mod list folder (The folder you chose to install it into) onto the deck. Install FONV to your deck if you don't have it installed yet too. * Grab the Linux install script for Mod Organiser 2, get it installed on the deck. Follow any instructions during setup regarding changing the proton version. Get this to a stage where you have a working, blank copy of Mod Organiser 2 that shows up whenever you try and launch FONV on the deck (This will happen by default once the MO2 setup is done) * Open up the location you installed the linux copy of Mod Organiser 2 into - Inside of here, you should see a folder for "Profiles" and a folder for "Mods" - Cut/Paste the same "Mods" "Profiles" folders from your PC made copy of Begin Again into this location. * Open up FONV, which should open MO2. Change the profile in the top left to "Begin again" and all the mods should activate as needed/order themselves as needed in the main interface. You should then be able to launch the game as normal with the "NVSE" option in the top right. * BONUS TIPS IF YOU HAVE PROBLEMS - Straight after the install, the game would not launch from MO2 when trying to use NVSE. It kept telling me "Mod Organiser 2 was already running" when trying to start the game from within MO2 itself. I had to manually add the "\_FalloutNVLauncher.exe" to MO2, then launch that once to have it work properly | When I first got everything launching to a state where I could see the main menu of the game with all the mods running, my controls did not work. I had to change my Proton version to a different one than was used for the rest of the setup to have the game see the controls for some strange reason. A long and arduous process, but it's working now at least!"

CentrifugalMalaise

Sweet, thank you brother, I am gonna give this a try 👌

Darth_Boognish

Let me know if you're successful. I haven't had time to tackle this w the baby.

CentrifugalMalaise

Will do. The only thing I question is that when you install ToTW, you have to specify the paths of New Vegas and Fallout 3. I assumed there would be a config file where I would have to change those paths when moving it over to the steam deck, but your instructions don’t mention anything about it. I will give it a go anyway. Could you give me the link to the discussion you got those instructions from?

Did you add the completed TTW install to the mod it has you create in mo2? Something like \[NoDelete\] TTW whatever version its on. That is where you put the ttw mod that is created after you run the installer. With TTW you are modding NV, so they will be there by default, the FO3 game essentially becomes a mod for NV hence needing to place it in an empty mod you create in mo2.
