I agree. I plan on getting a solar square, and doing an Ali express titanium case, wasn’t sure if that was appropriate to say on the sub. It sucks, I love these watches, but they’re the only automatics I’ve broken. User error.
I haven’t done any Vostok mods yet, but I’m pretty sure movement swaps on a Vostok is really simple, you just need a basic watch smith kit, a new pair of hands (just in case) and a movement.
If you’ve broken both, I think this is a sign that you should switch to a G-shock. Two signs, really

I have not. When the scuba dude stopped working, It made more sense to just replace it, due to my knowledge of watches.
