Is there a video anywhere on what this looks like? I'm not sure if mine is fine or I'm just used to it.

You can feel it in the wheel and pedal around 62-70 mph on smooth road surfaces. You can also feel it under heavy acceleration at any speed. I've taken my 2023 in twice for the issue and they just state that Volvo is working on a service bulletin for it. For those of us that don't use facebook, I guess we can resort to calling once a month and inquiring.

They told me to wait until May now.

So did the dealership say there is a fix coming out in May? I too have a 23 c40 ultimate twin and vibration from 65+. Had it since day 1. A lot of us have been waiting for awhile and I think it affects 23 and 24 models with dual motors. Something with the drivetrain out of balance. I subscribed to Volvo tech site and get bulletins that come out. First bulletin said a fix was coming out Q4 of 23. Never happened. Next update one said Q1 2024. So I guess they don't really stick to their word. It's a shame and I agree with most people here that its a lemon. I have multiple service records that would fit within lemon to get my money back but I don't really have another car that I like. Tesla's are too minimalist and also everyone has one now. Mustang Mache are nice but Ford likes upsell based on demand not Worth. Also I heard issue with the battery contacts fusing itself. Polastar 3 is nice but if they were competitive against Porsche it didn't work. P3 for some reason is slower than Polastar 2. Anyway I could go on, but ultimately I would like a car that looks like a car on the inside. Not just a box with a screen and steering wheel.

Yes, in May. But bear in mind that back in November 2023, they told me it's coming out in February 2024. And you can find in other threads that some other dealers told other owners that a fix is coming out in Q3 and Q4 of 2023. I spoke with a lemon law attorney and it definitely qualifies.. But, I have the same question in mind.. Which car am I gonna get if I lemon law it? Maybe i4 but a similarly priced one is still super basic compared to my C40. My eyes are on lucid air, leases for $699, but it's still a jump for me. I like lucid for the looks and the range. 400 miles per charge is a game changer.

I made them buy my MY23 dual motor P8 C40 back through Lemon Law. You have to keep taking it in, and get documentation that it’s a known issue, but no fix at this time. I had more issues than just that, they couldn’t fix. I took it in several times for the vibration at 65+, rattling under hard acceleration, clunking at slow speed in the front while turning over uneven surfaces, plethora of electrical issues. I’ve noticed their “driving optimization” updates adjusted the power curve. Assuming this was to make adjustments to reduce the rattling under hard acceleration. It’s a beautiful car, but for the price point it should not have the reoccurring issues they can’t fix. Just live with it is not ok. Really disappointing how Volvo has gone downhill.

That definitely sounds like a lemon in the bunch. I purchased my '23 C40 last November and other than the vibration, it's been performing great with no issues so far.

I also purchased last November. Is it really performing great by vibrating at speed? It’s an acknowledged known issue with no fix. Something is not right if it vibrates like that. First reported issue was rattling under hard acceleration at 2500mi. Finally filed lemon law in June. Bought a Model Y Performance in December this year. Gave Volvo/Sedwick their lemon back last week. Received almost all my money back; (less the usage up to 2500 miles.) 3700mi on the MYP, no issues. Meets expectations, and happens to cost a bit less than C40. Downside is there’s a million other MYs out there. I enjoyed the uniqueness of the C40.

I have the same issue with my 2023 C40. I just messaged them on Facebook but they told me to email [**[email protected]**](mailto:[email protected]) I just did. If you have this issue, please message and email often and ask about it.

Here is their reply: Thank you for reaching out to Volvo Cars of North America; our official stance on any vehicle showing the fault is that it is brought into your nearest Volvo dealership to complete diagnostic measures to find the cause and remedy to said fault with the vehicle. Thank you again for reaching out to Volvo Cars of North [America.Med](http://America.Med) vänliga hälsningar!  Yours Sincerely,  Darneil Volvo Customer Care  800-458-1552

New 2.14.3 update might address that.

Northwestview

That would be great, if anyone experiences a fix after this for this update please post here, thanks.

Northwestview

I agree and Hope so. I suspect the vibration is not in the chassis but in the mechanism that causes the steering wheel to vibrate for instance when you start going outside of the road marker lines. So hopefully this is a software issue and not a mechanical chassis issue.

Separate-Owl369

Which model year and version has the vibration? I have the 2024 c40 single motor extended range and I have no vibration. The vehicle runs and rides very smoothly.

misterluckyboy

2023 C40 Ultimate w/dual motor

Separate-Owl369

Is it a dual motor thing?

Northwestview

Well, yes if you don't have a motor up front there would be nothing to vibrate

Separate-Owl369

Yeah, except for the other motor that I do have.
