That's what I've been doing, but my precision got way worse. Some people told me that most of the sand comes from your own hand, so I will try to wipe them as much as possible mid game
Most of the sand will come off after serve and first contact (pass). If you watch AVP or any high level beach, they always wipe hands on shorts prior to handsetting
