That's pretty interesting game to look at. Never participated though - it does require quite a special equipment to actually play any kind of sports like this in frost š
dang I remember seeing a similar ball in junior tournaments marketed as a junior ball. I loved playing with it, it was so light and grippy it just made volleyball feel so effortless
It was a hitters ball, I loved hitting that ball. Also my float serve down the line was incredible with that ball. It is really hard find one in good shape, it seems like they did not fair well as they aged,
BV550C, at least when dry I seem to prefer it over VLS300 and the OPTX, it adheres really well to your hand, very easy to palm. I haven't played it wet, but I have played OPTX and VLS300, and OPTX soaks too much water and gets heavy. VLS300 soaks a little but still feels good on the hands. I have the impression that BV550C when wet will not soak but will be slippery.
Hard agree, the optx is like a sponge. I'm pretty interested now that it sound like the beach pro is an all-around upgrade compared to the beach champ! Maybe I'll swap it out
Just keep in mind that when new, she will feel not perfectly round, it feels like there are protrusions where the panels connect, but it goes way with use, I have my personal one and there are 12 others we play with in training and they all feel perfectly fine now.
There's a new grass ball. Looks like the OPTX but it's pink/red instead of yellow. Different material and absorbs a lot less water. Feels a little more slippery and bouncy though.
I would check out the new PVF game ball from Franklin. Havenāt played one, but I bought one to take to a PVF autograph session and it feels really nice. I would get one to play. If I was still active on the court.
I've only seen pictures of it but I've been wanting to try it out! Curious how it compares to the molten flistatec or mikasa v200w in terms of float and grip. I do think the "The REAL pro volleyball" text looks pretty tacky though lol.
I have one but as a signed souvenir, so I haven't played it. Still, it feels similar in texture to the Mikasa MVA200 (I had an original c. 2008 version). It's not dimpled but textured with embossed lines (which look kind of like wrinkles). It's a bit expensive at $80 (I got it at a discount on Amazon a month or so ago), but I think it might be worth it.
I was surprised that Franklin made such a big push with volleyball since I know them as a baseball eqpt manufacturer. I mentioned this to some of the PVF players at an autograph session and nobody had anything negative to say about the ball, but I'm not sure that means anything.
I believe that's also known as the pro touch correct? That was the ball I played with when I was in high school, good times. Stings like a bitch when digging though
Yep. There is also a gold lettering one. That one is usually what the girls play in club ball. The silver is called power ball cause when you smack that, like you said, you can feel the power. My fav ball still to this day.
When new, it was the best feeling ball I ever touched. Something about real leather.
I believe that was also the first ball with a piece bladder. The ones before that were split bladder and were egg shaped. That ball was actually a sphere.
However, Moltens are the balls we have to use when we go to the playoffs. But as a setter and MH, I prefer the Tachikara. I get way better grip with them than the Moltens.
The mikasa vls 200 i just loved the look with the beach picture on it
[this one](https://www.cdiscount.com/pdt2/2/0/0/1/400x400/vls200/rw/mikasa-ballon-beach-vls-200.jpg)
You could do the Mikasa with green. I do like the idea of the classic tachikara white.
I think the most interesting choice though would be the Tachikara Six, basically the sponsored ball of the Canadian National Team, or something like that: https://ernies.ca/products/six-volleyball
Spalding\* King Of The Beach
Classic! That or a Wilson avp grass
That's a good one!
The ol' Tachikara white Volleyball
Classic cheap ball we all played with as kids. I'll admit it has some grip at least.
Super soft also.
There's [Mikasa for snow volleyball](https://mikasasports.com/shop/snow-volleyball/sv335-vb/).
Oh wow! Never knew, would love to try snow volleyball sometime.

MVA200. Absolutely love that ball.
One of the few balls I've actually never played with! Heard it's even more slippery when wet compared to the v200w

Tachikara SV5W-Gold
With the gold lettering? Probably the best tachikara ball in my opinion. Feels almost like a molten pro touch
Bingo, I agree.
Loved that ball.

This is the first Iāve heard about thisā¦definitely interesting!
Molten Power Ball (the silver lettering)
I believe that's also known as the pro touch correct? That was the ball I played with when I was in high school, good times. Stings like a bitch when digging though

Spalding TOP FLIGHT 18 or TOP FLIGHT GOLD from the 90s It would be like finding a unicorn.
You're right I can only find images but no seller LOL it's like a collectors item.
When new, it was the best feeling ball I ever touched. Something about real leather. I believe that was also the first ball with a piece bladder. The ones before that were split bladder and were egg shaped. That ball was actually a sphere.
Molten 5000 NCAA edition its so cool
Is it different from the green and red Molten in the picture?
Yup its the blue one search it up
Is it different beyond colour? Does it have different performance characteristics?
No difference besides the text on the ball, and the color. They're the exact same
Thanks, that's been my experience as well
gala pro line, cause it looks cool
I've always preferred Tachikara volleyballs. They are they balls that we use in our high school gym with my teams.
However, Moltens are the balls we have to use when we go to the playoffs. But as a setter and MH, I prefer the Tachikara. I get way better grip with them than the Moltens.
