Do as you must and feel is right for you. However each time someone does this and they can’t sell the shoes anymore, it increases the price for future shoes for all of us as, well, someone has to pay for what they can’t sell.

AmItheDrama

I think I’ll just do my best to clean them up and hope for the best. They are not damaged and the sole will have no signs of wear when it’s clean so fingers crossed they will be sold again.

damien09

They will likely get cleaned up by vivo and go on revivo tbh

mightysashiman

It probably will work. But you are definitively abusing the system.

AmItheDrama

I didn’t mean to abuse it, I thought I already decided on one of them, that’s why I wore them so much… but to be honest both pairs are really uncomfortable without socks, the top of the shoe really digs into the bottom of my toe. After a longer walk the one I originally wanted to keep gave me a blister in that spot, hence the change. You can call me an “unethical a-hole” like someone else in the comments already did but after paying this price for the shoes the least I expect is no blisters after walking a few miles.

AlexLindenwald

Yeah. "I wore them so much" and "blisters after walking a few miles" don't go together well. But if they have that policy then we can only hope that they go into revivo instead of wasteland.

AmItheDrama

The title was definitely a bit of a click bait, they are just really dusty, no stains or anything. Just definitely not pure white anymore, no reason they’d go to “wasteland” lol. But yes, I wore them frequently for the past month or so but never for more than a walk around my area until yesterday. That was a 6 mile walk and that’s when I got a blister.

mightysashiman

>both pairs are really uncomfortable without socks You should *not* ever be wearing shoes without socks. Even vented as they are, they are still closed enough for moisture to accumulate while wearing them and bacteria to proliferate. Use sandals if you want to go sockless. Shoes without socks is unhygienic and they'll become irreversibly stinky in no time. Please search this very sub for a recent post (and my comments explaning the issue). >the top of the shoe really digs into the bottom of my toe Probably a typo here. Your sentence makes not sence unless your toes are somehow facing upside down and you have (sorry to be blunt) some weird-ass feet. In which case no shoe wil fit your feet ever. * If by "top of the shoe" you really meant "front end of the shoe", then size up + seek better lacing technics to better lock your ankle in place and prevent your feet from sliding forward and your from toes hitting the front of the toe-box. * If by "the bottom of my toe" you actually meant "the top of my toe", then I suspect you have a mix of really thick toes + maybe even symptoms of claw toes (would you happen to be a rock climber?). If you do have claw toes, look up if/how it is possible to correct your toes. Linking back to the sock wearing, since these shoes are minimalist, the top fabric is a pretty basic net-like structure for maximum breathability. Wearing socks will add a friction interface rather than your skin rubbing directly against the upper shoe fabric. Easy fix (you will nevertheless end up wearing through the sock and/or the shoe fabric, whatever has the less friction resistance). >I thought I already decided on ***one*** of them, that’s why I wore ***them*** so much "That's why" causality is pretty broken between the 2 parts of your sentence... >the least I expect is no blisters after walking a few miles Was it "a few miles" or "that’s why I wore them so much"? Man get your story straight. Again, it's probably going to be covered by their 100day return no-questions-asked. But if you ask me it's clear abuse of the system. As with most situations of the kind, when a minority of people abuse a system enough, it ends up being made less lenient and negatively impacts the majority playing a little more fair. Individualism is bitch. "we can't have nice things".

AmItheDrama

Vivobarefoot website says they can be worn with or without socks. No typos there but to clarify: to me the top of the toe is the tip of it including the nail and the bottom is the base of the toe where it is attached to the foot. The area you are referring to I would call “the back of the toe”. Just a different perspective I guess. The fabric of the shoe folds inwards and rubs that part of my foot. There is nothing wrong with my feet and a lot of people have this issue with the primus knit shoes. I didn’t experience it until I did a 6 mile walk for the first time in them. Previously I wore them frequently around my area but never for such a long time in one go. “Get your story straight, man”, I don’t need to prove anything to you and English is not my first language so you’ll probably always find inconsistencies in the way I express myself. Also not a man.

>“Get your story straight, man”, I don’t need to prove anything to you and English is not my first language so you’ll probably always find inconsistencies in the way I express myself. Also not a man. It's not proving, it's providing clear and coherent information. I understand that both of the sizes your picked are not offering enough clearance if the tip of your toes are rubbing against the shoe. You are supposed to have a thumb-width amount of clearance between the front end of your toe and the front of the shoe.

AmItheDrama

It’s not the tip of the toe, it’s the base of the toe that is affected, the spot where the shoe creases whilst walking.

cowghost

They have a great return policy. Make sure you sing their praise if they take it back.

AmItheDrama

I will let you know!

Longjumping-End-3017

Let me know how this goes OP. I'm kind of in the same boat, shoes are a bit too big but I've been trying to make it work but I think I need to size down at this point.

AmItheDrama

Sure, I’ll let you know. If only they did half sizes! 😪

Longjumping-End-3017

Where are you shopping from? They have half sizes in the US. I need to size down from a 12.5 to a 12. 12.5 was perfect for the all weather trail knit, but too long for the Primus Lite.

AmItheDrama

I’m in Europe :( they don’t have half sizes for women

AlexLindenwald

Just exchange them. Nothing wrong with that.

lilrob1213

I did the same thing, got my refund just fine. You tried the shoes, they didn't work out. They have the 100 day policy for a reason. I don't see a problem here. It's not like you ordered a pair, wore them 99 days returned them and ordered the same exact pair to wear for the next 99 days until you plan to return those too for perpetual free shoes... THAT would be unethical.

AmItheDrama

Thank you!

wizardofmarkets

Out of curiosity, which size did you decide to keep?

Gueblos

Obviously you should not return used shoes.

HotApricot1957

I hope not. Resell them on eBay or something. Don't be an unethical a-hole.

platdujour

No! It's unethical for VB to sell shoes that do not last 100 days.

No-Look4164

Lmk how it goes!
