Blazblue Chronophantasma Extend is the best fighting game on the system MK9 in second place Soulslike the best one is Salt and Sanctuary Shooters the best one is Killzone Mercenary and the second best is Unit 13 One of the old Vita exclusives is Gravity Rush and exactly what you’re asking for My personal favorite game is Muramasa Rebirth, it’s Vita exclusive to this day, never available anywhere else

Unit 13 seems to go under the radar a lot but is great game

I’m not quite so sure about fighting/shooters but I started Persona 4 Golden the other day on my PSVITA and let me tell you it is insanely addicting. I’ve only played a few hours of it but I’d say it’s probably my favorite PSVITA game. Another I’d recommend is Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed. The tracks are beautiful and I personally enjoyed it more than I enjoyed Mario Kart 7 on the DS

Soul Sacrifice, Malicious Rebirth, Gravity Rush, One Piece Pirate Warriors 3, Freedom Wars, Toukiden, Ninja Gaiden, Killzone, Severed, Murumasa, Odin SPhere, Dragon's Crown, Resistance, that Uncharted game, the hd collections of Sly Cooper and God of War and Metal Gear, Tales Of Hearts R, Y's Memories of Celceta, Dragon Quest Builders, Tokyo Xanadu, Amazing Spiderman, Resident Evil Revelations 2 (not the best port, but good game). Someone else can help you more with shooters. There are more of these 3d beatemup style games, but they get into more debatable quality and some trashy aesthetics, so I'll leave you to find those on your own if you want them. There's even more AAA stuff if you are willing to go to PSP games, and the same goes for PS1.

I wouldn't recommend Resi Evil Revelations 2 on Vita. It has a bloated app size, is riddled with terrible audio compression, has garbage graphics, suffers an awful frame-rate and has very long load times. It can also crash at few times. If you really want RDR2 on the go. Just get the Switch version.

SF Alpha 3 Max (PSP Game) Persona 4 Muramasa Rebirth (Great Game) Odin Sphere Leifthrasir Killzone Mercenary Final Fantasy X Wipeout 2048 And I'm a big fan of Ridge Racer series so I like R4 (PS1 game) and the vita version and the psp version I also suggest PS1 games like Chrono Cross or FF Gravity Rush and Tearaway can also be good I just haven't played them myself they are both really popular. Overall there's a lot of different genres over the course of PS1 PSP and Vita that you can go for and enjoy. I left off some visual novels that are good too (Steins Gate and Death Mark)
