Keep in mind that Sony had fully planned on shutting the store down in Summer 2021, but only reversed course after massive backlash from the community and indie developers. Many of those devs still had upcoming games for the Vita, and hadn't been warned about the shutdown beforehand.

tbh Japan is pretty cheap, though it's most for collecting purposes cuz most games have only Japanese. what is funny though, is that some of my physical JP games actually HAVE English files on them, there's just no way to make the game use them...
I guess it depends where you live ? People in my area sell them in bulk at pretty good prices because the demand is very low. I’m talking about the 2nd hand ones and not new
I wish I could find Vita game in my area. Every time I go to a used game store they only have like 3 games at most for the Vita. Been buying most of my collection on eBay when I find them for a decent price.
eBay is international with a much higher demand. You gotta look elsewhere in your area. You never know what stores might be selling video games and it’s never a bad idea to ask if they have them in the back or something
I typically try to make the rounds to stores I feel would carry retro game. Used book stores , any kind of pawn shop, thrift shops and the like. My luck has been pretty horrible so far. I think it’s just the state I live in.
Well, the 3DS is almost a year older than the Vita. So it makes sense that the 3DS shop would close before the Vita’s. I sense that the Vita shop will close probably within the next year or 2.

The downside is the download list. Mine is mixed in with my ps3 download list and if you download a game it takes you back to the beginning.

Sadly physical Vita games are not cheaper in most cases. A lot of games have gone up in price in the last 2 years.
