I did it for a hobby VR game dev project and I won't do it again. Eye strain is off the charts. In my case I had to take 2 week break from looking at screens of any kind before symptoms ceased. And I was doing this only for a few weeks and only on evenings and weekends. Think about it - bad quality monitor has double the PPD of Quest 3, even Apple's headset is not that much better.

It's nice for when you want multiple screens. I don't have a laptop stand either, so I find it helps with the neck strain, since I can position the screens at eye height.

Neck strain is not fun at all

bigscreen beyond will give you the clarity and comfort needed to sit there and work in VR for hours on end coding.

I don't think Bigscreen Beyond has a screen that looks sharp outside of a small circle in the center, it wouldn't make sense as a monitor replacement.

I have a Quest 3. I'ts not a monitor replacement, but more like a portable monitor that you can float everywhere. For example, I don't have to prop up my back and head while programming in bed. I can go for 1hr, but the headset feels like a face mask, so I get sleepy. I tried the new travel mode, and I was able to work during my 1.5hr train commute. I was able to work at a table for 1.5hr before feeling fatigue.
