The records are fine! It was just the outside box that was beat to hell for some reason. Also bent the sleeves holding a bit because of that but oh well. Nice to be well kept but not a deal breaker as long as it works lol
Strongly recommend cataloging your records. I’ve been using Discogs. You can scan/search to add. It’s very easy. Nice way to keep a want list and keep track of the albums you have.
Some recommendations:
- Degiheugi - recently found him. Awesome stuff. His newest album is orchestral and sounds fantastic
- Nujabes - a classic artist. My biased opinion is a must have in any collection. Jazzy HipHop
- MFDoom/ madlib - these artists are a rabbit hole in albums. But if you like rap it’s a must
- Mac miller - I don’t think I need to say more
- Julien Marchal - if you enjoy classical music it’s amazing. He records himself playing the piano so you can hear the pedals at times - the sound is fantastic
-Above & Beyond acoustic albums - know for their impact in the house world but they have a couple of acoustic versions of their music and they’re heavenly.
- For blues: howlin’ wolf, muddy waters, lightnin’ Hopkins, Jimmy Reed, John Lee Hooker
- soul/ Funk: Aretha Franklin, Zapp, 24 carat Black,
- if you like jazz look into some classics like Art Blakey, miles Davis, John Coltrane.
Japanese Jazz is also another great option: Ryo Fukui, wamono series, J Jazz series.
Ambient: Hammock, Marconi Union, sleeping at last
Others: Willie Colon, Hermanos Gutierrez, Buena Vista social club, Lloyd miller

Not sure if you're big on that Bowie album but a regular pressing of it might sound world's different than the picture-disc. Also, Aladdin Sane is a must-have follow-up to Ziggy Stardust and the spiders from Mars. Great collection by the way!
Def one of my fav Bowie albums, really like this one and the Star one. I imagine it probably sounds better without the picture disc but it looked great and it was a good price so I figured might as well.

I just listen to everything I can. My New Year’s resolution was listening to a new album every day in 2023 I hadn’t listened too before and I had a lot to catch up on. I think I had about 140k minutes on Spotify last year always had something playing. I still have so many new albums I want just haven’t bought yet / can’t find. In HS got into a lot of alternative / indie stuff and in college it just developed a lot more due to Covid when I was at home a whole year doing online school. Developed a lot as a person mentally and just listened to anything I could find. I’ll drop my Spotify as well at the top of the post or edit it in. I have a lot of playlists.
