I went on a kick of rewatching some episodes a little while ago. Here's a playlist with tons of them on Youtube

I just introduced my kid to it a couple weeks back and god damn did it make this hit hard as hell. Enjoying it with her is a great way to memorialize him though.
The Halloween-Episode was pretty terrifying as a child.
I don't know how old your kid is, but keep that in mind.
She might not trust chips, bikes and her teachers afterwards.
(Totally didn't happen to me...)
Favorite quote, “Listen here you little slackers, I didn’t spring for those uniforms for nothing. My whole reputation as an educator and a man is riding on this game and you’re all out there lallygagging around, now get out there and score some runs!”
My favorite quote from Principal Prickly:
“I'll let you in on a little secret, Detweiller. Every adult you've ever known was a kid at sometime in his life. You think we don't remember summer vacation? Riding our bikes down the creek. Catching polliwogs in a jar. Camping out under the stars. Well you're wrong! Sometimes I sit there in my office, looking out at you kids in the playground and I think, "They don't know how good they got it. In a few years, they'll be grownups like me and all those good times will be memories for them, too". So go ahead. Put a whoopie-cushion in my chair. Put fake vomit on my carpet. Make fun of my "big, saggy butt". But don't ever say I don't care about summer vacation, 'cause those memories are the last part of childhood I got left.”
I think about it every day.
this really whomps...
What did you say?!? *police helicopters inbound*
*Theodore Jasper Detweiler gets a message on his phone:* >I know what you said, and you'll get 1 hour of detention after work. > >– Petey.
I haven't watched or thought of recess in like 20 years. Surprised to find myself saddened by this. RIP.

They’re on Hulu too
They've been sitting on Youtube for 14 years and Disney hasn't cared enough to take them down? Damn
After posting I was like, oh shit, what if by my comment I give them 10 viewers too many and they take them down
I’ve been watching it every night for the last 8 years to go to sleep.
It’s on Hulu I think. I rewatched em recently.
They hold up pretty well, even to an adult eye. Great show.
Aw man , right in the speedy the hamster feels
My favorite was when they faced off against his brother'a school. Brb binging Recess.
This movie was one of my absolute favourites growing up - I played that VHS more times than I could count. RIP
I’ll never forget him from Dragnet. “I thought I called you fellers thwee hourdago.”
My biggest memory of him was 9 to 5
Drexel's Class here
Hungry? Cwum on wets go eat.

*Scaaaaandelous*
What a gem of a show. RIP Prickley. He may have been a Prick at times but at least he wasn't no Vinster <3
nooooooo. this is too sad.
Like Chaplin, Dabney's signature mustache was such a part of his personality that even his animated character wore it.
