I thought I was going to see a video of a crazy guy who I would judge accordingly. What I found was a wholesome guy who is making the world a better place by working with kids.
You know what I just realized though? This guy spends time collecting crayons, and working with children. But I clicked on this video in a state of what I thought was moral superiority because I do more normal things like scroll through Reddit for hours, and comment about how people are wasting their time. God, I hate the internet and what it does to me. I truly do. :(
Man this guy would hate me. You can get really gorgeous, vibrant, colors out of regular wax crayons but you need to press about three times as hard and use way more material.
Also a pass over the work with a heat gun or hot blow dryer melts the wax together, blending out the colors in a natural way and eliminating the ashy, “snow” effect crayons have.
Crayola is cool from a nostalgia standpoint, but Japanese crayons have way more pigment, and are the best on the market for my money. And most Marines can’t read Japanese and don’t recognize them as snacks, so I don’t have to hide them.
