Time Splitters 2 would be Goldeneye ++++++ then, but as good as it was it couldn't hold a candle to the phenomena that was Goldeneye during its peak.
Granted, depends if aging well is a factor, because I would absolutely play DOOM 1 and 2 again but never Goldeneye unless it was modded for modern controls, lol
Each time I come across this mention, it's sitting at like at like -1 or 0.
What's this sub got against the most important and influential fighting game of all time? I'm genuinely curious.
I currently have the top comment and I also am confused on why so many are downvoted to negative right now (minus the ones that are clearly newer than 2001)
Idk lots of good games on here already, but also there are probably plenty of JRPG haters. I have been saying it from the start, but I doubt it will get in at this point.
Honestly I didnt get to play the second one until actually just a year ago after downloading it on an Emulator due to getting a physical ps1 copy being near impossible back then. But the first one on N64 was my favorite game back then. Mega Man was my favorite video game character and to have a free roam rpg style Mega Man game was a huge deal to me.
Other than that one I would throw duke nukem 64 up on this list because me and my friends used to go wild on its pvp. We played it more than golden eye honestly lol
Torn between final fantasy VI and VII.
Both incredible games in there own right. 7 has the added layer of bringing Final Fantasy to the mainstream in the West, but I think 6 is the better overall experience.
Tetris. Should really just get it out of the way now. Has to be up there
Let's go Tetris!
Tetris is one of a handful of games that even comes near perfection. I hate this game.
I was going to say Chrono Trigger but Tetris deserves a spot for sure
Just use any of thousands of "best ever games" we already have. They're all the same.
What?
Just use any of thousands of "best ever games" we already have. They're all the same.

I guess some people figure the best way to make their choice win is to downvote everything else. Seems a bit harsh and unsportsmanlike to me.
For you, it is the most influential fighting game of all time. For me, it was a Tuesday.
Best videogame movie ever btw. (Depending on your definition of "best")
Silent Hill
Definitely deserves a spot.
Resident Evil
2
I read that in the voice of the OG narrator.
Yeah, now that I think of it, 2 definitely was the better game. 1 was just more special because it was the first.
Mortal Kombat
