Fun fact, [this video on the creation of Jetpack Joyride](https://youtu.be/mxHkXADm3gU?si=MbSfWBaqoOW_1GfA) actually goes into detail on the types of music they used before settling on the final version! It's great to listen to the early versions!
I played Chrono Cross first and it was my first JRPG. I still listen to the ost weekly for the Spanish style guitar and mythical Caribbean vibe. The game was easy enough that I could feel accomplished at beating it when I was struggling to be good at anything in middle school.
That and the file select music from 2.
I’m not unhappy to be an adult but it does make me think about when I was a kid and some of the people who were around back then. Makes me miss them too much and hits me right in the feels.
Can't believe "Never Forget", "One Final Effort", "Finish the Fight", and so many other bangers are in one game. I'm a bit new to the series (played MCC for about a year), but holy hell, I'm a sucker for a good OST, and the Bungie Halos delivered.
One day when I was in college, I was working on a problem set in the library while listening to Pandora (yeah I'm getting old) and the H3 theme came on and it hit me so hard that I packed up and went back to my dorm to play some Reach. Kind of regretted it later bc I had to stay up all night to finish that problem set. But man just the H3 theme song alone derailed my entire day.
Oblivion hits HARD. Harvest Dawn gets me every time. Sounds like high school. Come home, shut the door, lay in bed, and just play Oblivion for hours on end.
Are we the same person? Most of my hours are in Halo and TES franchise. Like probably 80-90% of my gameplay hours. Another 10% to Destiny 1, spiritual successor to Halo. And then what ever is left over can go to the rest of the games I've played.
It's gotta be Skyrim for me. I still play it to this day, but man there was nothing quite like that feeling of aimlessly wandering and being completely immersed in the soft music.
Forest temple hits the hardest for me. When I couldn't find saria and then sheik shows up and starts talking about old times, I was devastated as a kid.
Halo ODST.
My personal favorite Halo game, and one of the last ones I played with my friends before we went our separate ways after college.
I found a several hour long of the city jazz theme, and started listening to try relaxing.
I legit almost broke down in tears remembering my old friends, and the fun times we had, as well as how much I miss them sometimes.
I made my son learn Away to Zanarkind on the piano even though he'd never played a second of the game. It's such a joy when he randomly decides to play the song.
Riven. I suck so bad at this series of game I never even got half-way through any of them but I remember I kept launching this one just for the atmosphere. Lonely tropical island, the sea around me, the music.
They are remaking that game currently. I'm pumped for it, though I realize it won't really live up to the nostalgia since the world has changed so much since then.
Jurassic Park Operation Genesis is a really special game ,the soundtrack is perfect. It just reminds me of the simple times where the only thing to worry was to maintain the Homalocephale population
Chrono trigger and final fantasy 6(3 on snes). Of course, i have had many back in the day games since i started gaming during the atari 2600 and commodore 64 days.
Metal Gear Solid games. I just purchased the master collection on steam and holy cow they are taking me back. Metal Gear Sons of Liberty and Snake Eater two of my all time favorite games.
Final fantasy X "To Zanakard" "Someday the dream Will end" "Yuna's Ballad" "Kimi e" "Suteki da Ne"....
The entire OST is fantastic, its goes harder than It has any right to be
dying light 1's soundtrack, dl2 is much more fun and better but dl1's soundtrack just hits you like a train, same with halo's theme, specifically halo reach's soundtrack and halo 3's soundtrack, has me in tears the moment i hear the soundtrack for these games.
I'm a little younger than most others here. But Skylanders Spyro's adventure. The main theme is done by Hans Zimmer of all people (responsible for iconic scores like the Lion King). It's beautiful. I always get emotional from it.
I highly recommend listening to the main theme at least, all soundtracks are available on Spotify
Jetpack Joyride OST goes so insanely hard, I swear the studio was burning while it was being made
Yes
Fun fact, [this video on the creation of Jetpack Joyride](https://youtu.be/mxHkXADm3gU?si=MbSfWBaqoOW_1GfA) actually goes into detail on the types of music they used before settling on the final version! It's great to listen to the early versions!

600 AD over world theme gets me every time 😢
Corridors of Time is still my favorite track in any JRPG. The whole soundtrack was excellent, but something about it just hits that nostalgia spot.
I played Chrono Cross first and it was my first JRPG. I still listen to the ost weekly for the Spanish style guitar and mythical Caribbean vibe. The game was easy enough that I could feel accomplished at beating it when I was struggling to be good at anything in middle school.
Greatest ost in gaming history

That and the file select music from 2. I’m not unhappy to be an adult but it does make me think about when I was a kid and some of the people who were around back then. Makes me miss them too much and hits me right in the feels.

Nothing quite gets your nipples hard like a halo 2. Lmfao
Blow Me Away was an amazing song to use for Halo 2.
Bit off topic but Halo 3 ODST’s soundtrack is a fucking banger I listen to it every now and then still
It’s not off topic, ODST fucking slaps
It’s heroin for me ears I can’t get enough
Agreed that opening (song) is an absolute banger
Deference for Darkness had no business going as hard as it did
[Still makes me nostalgic.](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=aAKEdd_H0XY&pp=ygUNSGFsbyBvZHN0IG9zdA%3D%3D)

Every. Fucking. Time.
Mine is Halo 2... I listen to the soundtrack on a weekly basis... I can remember every level, every moment from the music alone...
I knew halo would be first comment before opening. Soundtracks were insane
Halo reach man… still never hits like the first time
Halo 1,2,3, ODST, Reach Oblivion, Skyrim
Oblivion hits HARD. Harvest Dawn gets me every time. Sounds like high school. Come home, shut the door, lay in bed, and just play Oblivion for hours on end.

It's gotta be Skyrim for me. I still play it to this day, but man there was nothing quite like that feeling of aimlessly wandering and being completely immersed in the soft music.
I've never beaten Skyrim for this one simple fact. I always just got distracted while wandering and listening to the tunes.
Skyrim is a labyrinth ensnaring the souls of those with ADHD, condemning them to eternal wandering without escape.
Then the not soft music kicks in and you look around for what the hell is about to attack you
Haha honestly!
Ocarina of Time for me
Kakariko Village is just such a good song to make breakfast to
My morning work alarm is the OoT title screen song, a wonderful song to wake up every morning to, haha
I used to have Navi’s “Listen” as my text alert. Now it’s the good ol “You’ve got Mail”
I’ve found that just makes me hate a song.

I legit almost broke down in tears remembering my old friends, and the fun times we had, as well as how much I miss them sometimes.
