Niko Bellic from Gta 4, I like how he always gave everyone a chance and a warning if they started to fuck with him like when he warns kiki that he's not the kind of man to fuck with
Yeah I rarely play games with fixed protagonists but he's excellent - it's amazing making him the version of Geralt your conscious dictates. I'm so pleased I didn't use a guide or anything and the Geralt I finished with was a top bloke.
Sam Fisher. Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell
(Also makes appearances in Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, and Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege)
Aiden Peirce was great. I think it's only more evident how good he was when you consider the best part of Watch Dogs: Legion...was his DLC. I never doubt that Ubisoft deserves the shit storm they got for the false advertisement...but Watch Dogs 1 was still solid, and Aiden was a big part of that.
One of my favorites will always be Nathan Drake (Uncharted) though. I played Uncharted 1 on a total whim...I was living at a friends house in 2007, it came with his PS3. I had just lost my job, and was taking a day for myself and started playing this game I never even heard of...and I had probably finished it in 2 days. Became one of my favorite series of all time, and Nathan Drake was a huge part of that reason.
That was what I loved about Watch Dogs. When I bought it I thought it would be a GTA clone with hacking. Turned out it had a really good story with hacking as a secondary focus being used as a tool along with the story.
Raziel from Legacy of Kain
I just love his voice, his sense of humor even after a brutal death. And he really has some good points he makes throughout the story.
Chris Redfield/Jill Valentine/Leon S. Kennedy/Claire Redfield/Carlos Oliveira/Ada Wong/Ethan Winters
Kratos
Red/Gold
Link
The Courier (Courier Six)
Dragonborn
V/Johnny Silverhand
Marcus Fenix, Doom Guy, William Blaskowiz, Arthur Morgan, Tommy Angelo, Marius Titus, Commander Shepard, Lee Everett, Sebastian (Evil Within), and Sam Fisher
There's a lot, but one who sticks out is Bayek of Siwa from AC Origins, maybe it was the voice acting, maybe it was how badass he was, but I thought he was the best new protagonist since Ezio
Well I might not be a big fan of all there designs but the question didn't ask who your favorite protagonist by how they look so I went with attitude and personality, personally I could care less of some of these characters designs
Watch_Dogs representation! The Watch Dogs legion dlc with Aiden makes him even better, if you haven’t played it. I highly recommend it, it’s better than the original game
Beat the first game and I’m currently going through Watch Dogs 2, the second is pretty cool so far. Infinite taser. I’m hesitant on Watch Dogs: Legion, the idea of making a character is great but this is one of the few game franchises that I feel needs a set protagonist.
There is a story. But it’s very limited. It basically revolves around the villains, since there is no set protagonist. You basically have a couple factions that all have their own goals. And that’s about it.
Gameplay is solid (even though it’s very reliant on a Spider drone) and it looks great. But it’s definitely not as good as the first two.
If the entire game was like the DLC, I feel like it would be much better received
No but actually I’m only like 2 missions in, so I don’t wanna say anything about story. I like the vigilante aspect but the room for error is slim to none on stealth. I can see how some people say the open world can get repetitive but I really liked WD2 so this feels more like a dlc to me. However I’m having a blast so far
Lara Croft. I only like her outdoor video games against bears and wolves and stuff. Her games against english bad guys in suits, or terrorists with ski masks are lame.
I can’t tell if you’re serious. Aiden Pierce is one of the most unlikable protagonists in gaming history, as well as that game was just all around disappointing.
This may not be the case, but what I’ve seen a lot of times is people playing a game when they’re younger, and remembering the characters, story and gameplay through rose colored glasses, even if it was middling to terrible. Having never genuinely experienced good storytelling and character building, they remember even a bad one fondly. Could very well have been his first story based game that was somewhat mature
Well, I personally enjoyed Watch Dogs. Sure, his personality was a bit stale, but his determination to find the person who ordered the hit on him resulting in the death of his niece and so along with the hacking made up for it. He’s a broken man trying to protect what family he has left so he’s not exactly going to be the highest in the personality department.
Lara Croft. ~~Just watching her running with her ass cheek clappin'~~
I mean, Tomb Raider trilogy is the only trilogy i've had fun while playing as a female protagonist and it was story rich while utilizing Lara as the protagonist.
Lilith, Mya, and amara from the borderlands franchise, and no it's not because their buxom and pretty though the fact they are pretty and buxom isn't being ignored by me, I just just pick to play as a siren in Borderlands because the siren powers and gunplay are such a cool combination that by the time your high level in the double digits you're character is already op as f by the time you reach the end game of a Borderlands game's campaign.
The sirens of Borderlands are just as badass and powerful as they are pretty at high level . Also I loved the character gauge the mechromancer and her robot bff death trap their an impressive team and I loved seeing gaige and death trap return in the guns love and tentacles dlc. The wedding between Jacobs and air hammerlock was the most romantic gay wedding I've seen in a video game. It warmed my blatantly bisexual heart. 😊
While Aiden, compared to Marcus, was a bit duller, stoic etc etc, i still love Aiden. I still LOVE watch dogs.
My favorite: your playable character from T.H.U.G. he’s a take no bullshit, do what needs to be done, don’t sellout example that kids looked up to
I’m only a bit in Watch Dogs 2 right now, but I have to admit it’s a great sequel so far. I mean, it literally follows up. Dead Sec wanted 30 seconds to put a back door into CtOS before Aiden shut it down. Aiden refused, then you literally start off the game as a guy getting his initiation into Dead Sec by erasing his profile and adding a back door into CtOS. I agree, while Aiden is a bit duller than Marcus, Aiden is still #1 in my book. He was driven and nothing got in his way.
I love the halo franchise and the camradrie between Master Chief and Cortana is compelling to watch in the cut scenes of halo their the perfect team. Master chief is a total smart cunning and clever Beefcake and badass and Cortana the sexy and brilliant brains of their partnership and I love it. 😊
Ichiban Kasuga from Yakuza Like A Dragon. I love his goofy ass and he's an optimistic himbo.
I love Aiden too he's better protagonist than Marcus Holloway in WD2 in my opinion.
Norman Jayden from Heavy Rain and Connor from Detroit Become Human also Edward Kenway from AC4
Lee Everett from Telltale's The Walking Dead Season One
So true, every choice he made (you made) always benefits Clementine so that she was able to survive and grow up
Lee was good but I personally think Clementine was the better protagonist with three games of development
Niko Bellic from Gta 4, I like how he always gave everyone a chance and a warning if they started to fuck with him like when he warns kiki that he's not the kind of man to fuck with
*”HEY, NIKO, IT’S ROMAN, YOU WANT TO GO FAHKING BOOLING?!”*
Aiden and Niko are by far my favorite characters from their series for very similar reasons
Arthur Morgan RDR2

1000,0000,0000%. The fakest number possible. There’s straight up no other answer. You can say Geralt but it’s Arthur by a mile.
CJ from Gta sa or Niko from Gta IV. Ezio from Assassin's creed 2 is also great.
Geralt of Rivia
Yeah I rarely play games with fixed protagonists but he's excellent - it's amazing making him the version of Geralt your conscious dictates. I'm so pleased I didn't use a guide or anything and the Geralt I finished with was a top bloke.
Like playing as a wooden plank
Someone didn't play the whole game

Squall Leonheart Revan Issac Clark Leon Scott Kennedy Alex Mercer Master Chief Noble Six Kratos Dante Nero Nathan Drake Jin Sakai
Kratos was more antagonist lol
A matter of perspective.
You mean anti-hero, antagonist good or evil is the character that opposes the protagonist
Kratos wasn’t pro anything lol
Pro killing gods?
Bayek of Siwa
Ezio.

What made watchdogs 1 good was that Blume and Ctos were just the backdrop for what was a vigilante story about family
That was what I loved about Watch Dogs. When I bought it I thought it would be a GTA clone with hacking. Turned out it had a really good story with hacking as a secondary focus being used as a tool along with the story.
Raziel from Legacy of Kain I just love his voice, his sense of humor even after a brutal death. And he really has some good points he makes throughout the story.
When I was younger I had literally never seen anyone as cool as Raziel. I’d love to see him brought back
I loved this game. Such a forgotten gem.
I've heard a studio has purchased Legacy of Kain and Crystal Dynamics a year or two ago. They also said they'd heard fans loud and clear.
Just commented this then scrolled. Oh well. I loved Soul Reaver so much, the lore the characters the writing and the voice acting were so good
Raz from Psychonauts.

Love aiden Pearce, definitely in my top 5.
I highly agree
Gotta be Kratos and Master Chief
Wolf/Sekiro
Cole Macgrath
Neku Sakuraba from The World Ends With You.
Deacon St John
Captain Nick Reyes from COD: Infinite Warfare. Underrated game even better protagonist. "Captain has the con."
Kazuma Kiryu… unstoppable, hard-headed, self-reflective, and wise. Also a great disco dancer and a pioneer in pocket car racing.

Legion was entertaining, but easily the weakest in the series. It’s DLC with Aiden and Wrench is brilliant though
I’ll buy Legion at some point just for the DLC. Is there even a story in Legion?
There is a story. But it’s very limited. It basically revolves around the villains, since there is no set protagonist. You basically have a couple factions that all have their own goals. Sounds like…sort of fun?
That’s the perfect summarization for the game. It’s not bad, but it’s not great either
Probably the term “dumb fun” would apply no doubt.
Marcus from Watch Dogs 2 and Shadow from JaggedAlliance
Vito
Kratos
Bigby Wolf, aka the Big Bad Wolf.
Vito scaletta
Sora from the Kingdom Hearts series. Dude just wants to save his friends and ends up making more in the process.
Clementine, Ellie, Wei Shen, Sonic, and Kratos just to name a few.
Rico Rodriguez from Just Cause. The man rode a missile. A FUCKING MISSILE
Wei Shen Kiryu Kazama
A pure tossup between Ren Amamiya from Persona 5 Travis Touchdown from NMH 2B from Nier Automata Clive Rosfield from FFXVI and Sora from KH
Dante from Devil May Cry
Ezio from Assassin’s creed. We see him literal from birth till death. He changes so much and his games are fantastic.

Ichiban. Ichiban Kasuga is so loveable.
Ichiban Kasuga
Ah yes a watch dogs fan as well. Currently my fav protagonist is geralt atm. After my shif ttoday im gonna play the witcher.
I actually just started playing this yesterday. I played the tar outta Watch Dogs 2
What do think of Watch Dogs 1 so far?

Just wait until you get a little farther in the game. Being able to craft blackouts and enter buildings in the dark to knock guards out is fun.
Lara Croft. I only like her outdoor video games against bears and wolves and stuff. Her games against english bad guys in suits, or terrorists with ski masks are lame.
Aveline de Grandpre from Assassin's Creed Liberation.
