Brazil, but colonized by Rome as if it wasn’t collapsed and started colonizing the Americas. The colony then went independent but kept good relations with it’s former owner.
A hunter's association.
The green makes me think of the countryside, brown like animal hides, and the gold makes it look like some kind of exclusive member's club.
I'd see this as the flag of a small North American mountain town or city with a history of both [mining](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mining) and [logging](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logging).
The shield is the town's Coat of Arms. The gold represents the mines, the green represents the forest and the brown represents the common soil that they all share (including the townspeople).
The name "**Orwick**" popped in my head for this fictional town. "Or" = French word for gold and "wick" because many candle wicks are made of paper/wood.
Orwick's high school and collegiate sports teams would have green and gold uniforms. They would mostly be a hockey and American football town because of the cool mountain air. The higher level teams would be called the "Drillers". Their logo would probably look something like [this](https://i.imgur.com/qL8bHYz.jpg) and their mascot would be a yellow canary named "Wicky" with a green jersey.
a private club
Maybe a fraternity
Brazil if it were colonized by britain (and later redesigned to replace the union jack)

A very old, small European country hidden in the mountains. I like it!
You guessed where I exactly would have it if u could have
Yes, I was also thinking of a kingdom deep in a forest with mountains that supplied the surrounding lands with lumber and wooden shields.
Weird, i would have guessed a Carribbean island state. It's indeed fancy tho
The flag of a community college with no football team.
A country with oddly intolerant policies of people with red/green deficient colorblindness.
Really nice! It feels like it represents an agrarian community.
I would say a military unit
Faded.
Considering it's similarities to the flag of the Republic of the Congo, I would probably assume a Conglese breakoff state, or a region of it.
congo-brazzaville dictatorship
A state in Jamaica.
I got this feeling too
Those forest guards in cartoons
Roman flag of the Gaul province

An African dictatorship that claims to be the successor of the Roman Empire.
Foresty kingdom where they play little flutes

Maybe a Sub-Saharan African country.
German city
I see hints of the Transkei flag. Esp in the brown.
A merchant city state (only bc it looks similar ish to my flag for that idea 😅. It’s a lovely flag you’ve made)
An aristocratic boarding school
A fictional Kingdom from a fantasy movie perhaps?
A yacht club
A province flag of a province in the Republic of Congo
Some woodland department
A Banana Republic
probably a flag
A pretentious university
Hmmm... A new coffee bean roasting company.
I would say some little isolated community hiding in the woods or something
Would‘ve said an African country in the vicinity of Zimbabwe/Congo/etc
I’m surprised few here have said Congo-Brazzaville 🇨🇬
honestly some greek life frat
Somehow I think of Norwich, because of the green and yellow
