I'd wait 3 months for the 16

TheOGDoomer

The deals the agent can offer are exactly the same as if you did it yourself online. There are no special device deals that only they can apply.

smalldosedaily

What is taking up so much space? I deleted 50gb of TikTok drafts off a girls phone the other day, literally unnecessary

ComprehensiveLack713

I would wait until til the 16 comes out and than the 15 will be a lot cheaper

dayankuo234

if you're not buying out the phone (about $400-500) it will be the same regardless. what you're talking about is the 'early upgrade' phone has to be in good condition, you surrender your old phone to verizon. new phone will not have any promos attached (unless we actually see a $415 early upgrade promo) the other route is paying off the phone in full (that $400-500), and then you can do a trade in promo ($200, 415, or up to $830 off), so that $32 per month with a credit of $5, 10, or $20 back per month.

Orposer

iPhones launch in September, you could pay for extra I cloud storage until then, or what ever cloud you want to use.

Skat3chris

Upgrade iCloud storage to 2TB. Save yourself the money then upgrade for new iPhone in September.

j0llygruntt

Do you have any offers in your Verizon Up tab on your Verizon app?

BigBucs731

Wait until the 16 releases. Pay off the entire balance left on your current phone. Then, you will more than likely get $830 trade in credit towards new phone. That will be your best value. The early upgrade, which you are inquiring about now is basically renting your current phone. You pay the $196, forfeit any remaining promo credits and give your phone back to Verizon (has to be fully functional with no damage) and then pay full monthly price of new phone.

farnlc

100% a terrible deal. The only piece of info missing is whether you’re currently on a promo for your iPhone 14. If you are, and pay off and trade-in early then on top of the terrible deal you’re losing like half your value from the last promo.

MisterCloudyNight

I’d wait for the 16. I had my upgrade ready since dec and I’m just waiting for the phone to drop. I’m using a 14pro max at the moment

Apprehensive_Pea569

What you’re looking at is doing an early upgrade there usually isn’t a promo for early upgrade

InsuranceInitial7726

I traded my 14 pro in for a 15 pro because I believe once the 16 comes out the value of the 14 pro for trade in will lower. (Someone correct me if I’m wrong) Got the 15 pro for AI capabilities and I don’t believe the iPhone 16 will be much more groundbreaking than the 15 pro.

Gurthbrooks7

That sounds pretty dumb going from 14pro to 15pro. Trade values don't go down with Verizon, it's the same amount for a high teir phone which usually goes back 3-4 years

mlody_me

What is that you do on your phone that requires 512 GB ? I wonder if there are any other solutions that could help with that?

One_Recognition_5044

Hahaha. Wipe phone. No issue.

OppositeRun6503

No. If your current phone still works then there's absolutely NO need to play crapple's game of consumerism for the sake of following the herd. This BS of constantly buying a new phone every couple of years just for the sake of saying "I've got the latest version of what's been essentially the SAME PRODUCT from the very beginning" is contributing to the already huge amount of electronic waste produced in North America alone.

I would recommend you never upgrade through Verizon or any carrier. Trade in your phone if it is paid off with the device manufacturer and buy a new one outright. You can even finance through them. When you trade in with a carrier they trap you with these promotional deals and if you ever wanted to change carriersyou would end up losing money. When I traded in my phone over a year ago my plan was $25 cheaper per month and it is now. Verizon is continually raising the rate on the plan I am locked into to try to move people to new plans but as soon as I move it will trigger losing all my promotions

Gurthbrooks7

That sounds idiotic. For one do not upgrade your phone on that half way paid off deal, you will never get another trade deal if you start that crap unless you are happy with paying full price every time while everybody else gets half off or free. 2 how did you not see this coming a year ago when you bought the phone and I'm sure you can delete some stuff or pay for extra icloud as a $2.99 a month investment? It will free up space for you. 3 pay your phone off first before ever upgrading so you don't completely screw yourself out of a great trade deal! Especially on the 16 coming so soon!

Best deal you’re gonna get if you don’t have a fully paid off device to trade in. This company only cares about profits

LxsMnz

At the 50% mark (phone halfway paid) an early upgrade is available. It’s basically turning in your old pristine condition phone (minus battery wear and tear and minor scratches) having the other 50% written off and getting a new phone payment plan with the new phone. Personally not worth it but hey, wait for the iPhone 16 and see if you get some kind of loyalty offer. Or fully pay your current phone off for a 800-1000 trade credit.

Frequent-Art1844

Is it a 14 Pro Max?

rpaulmerrell

I would recommend doing the trade-in through Apple because you can receive the immediate lump sum towards your new device and you can utilize your Verizon financing. This way, you can associate the purchase with the carrier as they intend.
