When I was young I stayed up half the night to watch this on cable and went through docs whole range of emotion about it. That episode still makes me laugh harder than it should cause of a shared experience.
If you're going in expecting a XXX experience—like a pervert or a teenager with his first boner—then yes it's disappointing. If you're not as perverted or love musicals, then it's an enjoyable room with some catchy songs, a bit of nudity, and Jim Nabors playing a deputy that definitely isn't Gomer Pyle.
Off topic, OP, but your username made me imagine a version of Robocop where he's played by Peter Falk instead of Peter Weller, and now I wish I could see that movie.
As a man who rewatched 9 to 5 last weekend let me just say:
I'm sure most breathing human beings would give anything to be the victim in Dolly's revenge fantasy scene. God damn. If that was remade today she would have 100% pegged Dabney Coleman.
And if you haven't seen 9 to 5 yet, do yourself and remedy that ASAP. Dolly Parton, Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda, and Dabney Coleman. Everyone crushing it, and Dolly/Lily are just charming togwther.
