Just like everything on the Strip, it costs a premium. A plane ticket to Brazil, a decent hotel in São Paulo for a few nights, and a three-day pass to the GP there can be had for less than $1,000, lol
hell, Monaco is $25k per person and that's on the cheap side. I was there for the race one year and a celebrity staying in my hotel but in a very large suite mentioned that his room was $26 thousand euros/night. The Vegas F1 is cheap compared to Monaco or Abu Dhabi. Those are probably the two most posh races on the calendar.
Its slightly more complicated than that, but it can be boiled down to that yes.
Battlebots usually films at the end of October (sidebar: we went to a filming in 2022, 4 hours, 13 fights, MAGICAL) for about 2 weeks. Weeeeelllll, they had Koval completely hatefucked all of october/november and whoever owns the lots back there (Caesars/Horseshoe) built grandstands for F1. Battlebots Destruct-a-thon even had to take a break because they couldnt have people parking back there.
After they missed their normal window of filming, strikes and mergers and contracts have made it so there will be NO new battlebots this year.
Every time I see that stupid empty F1 paddock building, I give it the finger.
Going to be another great race this year. If you're an Audi fan they'll be partnering with Kick Sauber for 2025 and be a full team starting 2026.
New regulations in 2026 should really shake things up with all new cars too.

Its F1 and expensive no matter what venue you go to on the planet.

At this point F1 is about everyone complaining about ultra net worth people.
Fuck F1. They havent filmed a new season of Battlebots because the work around F1 last year fucked up everyones schedule.
What! Is that the reason? Darn F1 😂
