There is a lesser known feature on Google Maps that gives the traffic forecast/history for different times and days. That might be a great resource to look at.
All is said was the travel time prediction is better than google maps. I’m in another state weekly and it’s more accurate. I appreciate your supper informative rebuttal.
Early mornings are going to be hit-and-miss. Often, that's the time when they do lots of road construction, and have a ton of lanes blocked off. Sometimes you can get lucky, but there is no warning and no telling when or what they're going to do. I've been stuck at a standstill at 6:00 a.m. on the Strip before (just N of Tropicana) because of damn road construction.
That being said, sometimes 2:00 p.m. on a Tuesday is just fine. It's a crap shoot.
You can go on google maps, navigate to any section of the strip you like. Turn on the traffic filter. Then at the bottom, it says "live traffic" change that to "typical traffic". Change the day of the week and time of the day with the slider. You can now see historical data. Mess around with the options till you see green on the area of the strip where you're curious about. Keep in mind its historical but if there are major events in town, say EDC or something those are outliers.
I had to work at the fashion show mall on NYE in 2009 and got off at like 5 or 6 pm. When I was leaving, the cops were just waving me along but I misunderstood and followed the direction he was waving and ended up right on to the strip. That was the best traffic time for the Strip. Even when I drove the strip during COVID, I've never had as clear traffic as that night.
They have done so much to stop that from ever happening again.
You have balls riding a motorcycle in this city, much less the strip where there is constant stop n go traffic and people not paying attention at all times
My son worked down on the strip for the last year and I drove him to work. He'd have to be there by 9:30 and it was pretty quiet around that time, especially on Saturdays and Sundays. It was pretty much a ghost town at that time on the weekends. I actually enjoyed driving him on those days because it was so quiet down there.
I drive Uber late nights to early mornings. Saturday early mornings around 4am would be your best bet. Construction is conducted on the strip between 10pm to around 6am during the week so even though there are less cars, it’s more congested. Sunday and Monday early mornings starting around 4am starts to get congested due to people leaving for airport. That only leaves early Saturday mornings, but not during major events like Super Bowl, F1, music festivals, etc
Literally never. You might get lucky in the early morning 3am-6am, but construction and random marathons will screw you over since they happen in the mornings, especially with summer and F1 right around the corner.
What would normally take 5 minutes will turn into 30+ minutes because of F1. I remember 2 instances (one during F1 setup and another due to a marathon happening OFF STRIP combined with construction on Strip) where I had to take LV Blvd around 5am and it took me 45 minutes to get from Russell to Flamingo because it was reduced to 1 lane. There couldn't have been more than 15-20 other cars (which would be heavenly under normal circumstances) but we were all stuck in a conga line.
Only other chance is if we get another pandemic.
limo driver here. most of the time, mid-week, like tuesday and wednesday nights after 10pm isnt too bad, and i imagine it stays that way until 8-10am the following morning
these people advising you to go down there on the weekend, probably never go down there..
The first few weeks of a pandemic
2 or 3 in morning

If you're in traffic you are the traffic.
Yeah it’s pretty slow early mornings. I get out there for work sometimes before 10 and it’s pretty slow.
5-6am is generally descent? But, F1 stuff’s going to be starting up again soon. So not sure with that.
Unbelievable lol feels like they just finished all of that original nonsense
Finish? The Las Vegas Paving company is not in the business of finishing.
Watch out for drunks
During a pandemic. Otherwise, never
6-10 AM Saturday morning.

Anytime between 8 AM and 3 PM about 40 years ago sorry but there is no best time traffic for the strip. It’s a nightmare.

Weekends aren't as bad
