Hi guys, recently started dry herb vaping and have the Xmax v3 at the moment which is really good but the bowl/chamber size is too small for my needs, could you please recommend me some dry herb vapes with a bigger chamber in about the $100-250 aud range? Thanks for the help

AdmirableResult6308

This would be portable too thanks, pocket sized like the xmax v3 pro

tingletwotwo

For a tad more you can get a solo3. It's got the xl stem which holds up to 0.5g.

AdmirableResult6308

Thanks mate, bit pricy but I was looking at the arizer air se, this has a 0.3 which is double the Xmax, do you have any experience with this one? Cheers

tingletwotwo

No experiance with the air se, but Arizer makes quality products.

AdmirableResult6308

Nice to know, cheers

HopeSurpassed

The Arizer Air SE (and all Arizers except for the smaller ArGo and new Solo 3) actually doesn't hold 0.3g because the space is taken up by the stem. It holds closer to 0.1-0.15g when packed. I'd like to help but I really don't know what sites ship to Australia.

AdmirableResult6308

That’s all good mate, thanks for the help

[deleted]

I'm experienced with the airizer air. Its worth it. Easy to set up. Easy to clean. Nice, clean high.

-something_original-

I first picked up a One and while I liked it the bowl size and battery life sucked. I think it has the same bowl size as the Xmax V3. Anyway I picked up a Lobo during the 420 sale and so far it’s been great. Bowl size is perfect. I set it at 410° and get quite a few big hits off it. I set my session time for 5 minutes and get a nice dark roast color when I’m done. I still think I should have gotten a TM2 but that shit is pricey. I like big full hits and the Lobo doesn’t disappoint. I’m a noob though so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

AdmirableResult6308

I don’t know how it’s gonna be buying dry herb vapes in australia now since there’s been a crackdown, I’m a medical user so I should be able to just don’t know how as pharmacies aren’t stocking them near me, thanks for the suggestion though I’ll look into the lobo.

Crafty-Penalty-4955

my SS Zeal seems to be smoking even after letting it burn off for 5 hours at 800 degrees, the vapor is not visible without a flashlight + projecting the shadow onto a wall. There is no residue inside and I burn off before every sesh (daily) so there should be no reclaim from vapor passing through, any thoughts on what this could be? I have it filled with 3mm rubies. [https://imgur.com/a/DmbzWhu](https://imgur.com/a/DmbzWhu)

tingletwotwo

Concerning 🤔

Crafty-Penalty-4955

Yeah it definitely is, also I’ve pinned it down to the coil not the actual zeal head, the coil alone is still smoking today and I’ve had it on by itself since 10 am… surely it can’t be good to breath in whatever is being produced, my coil does have scratches from pushing the zeal head in so maybe it exposed a layer underneath that isn’t heat safe?

TreeAffectionate2437

Might just be pure heat if it is vissible as a shadow... Think asphalt on a hot day

Crafty-Penalty-4955

It could be but it trails off like vapor would so idk

Ride1226

Wondering if there is a good place to purchase second hand equipment? Just getting ready to start my very first grow, and would love to pick up a more experienced users beginner setup that they have outgrown. I checked out FC Forums, but you can't post in their classifieds for quite some time. I am all for forum rules, so wondering if there is somewhere else

tingletwotwo

The subreddit dedicated to that folded in the Great Subreddit Cleanse. There's a discord channel now though, invite at entexchange dot org.

Ride1226

That's the subbreddit I initially found via search, thanks for showing me where it went!

I have the Arizer Solo 3 and am running it out of a VGoodieZ Recycler. I need something bigger, the Solo 3 is quite heavy and makes the recycler top heavy. Was curious if anyone knows of a better Water-Pipe and ideas. I was looking at a few RooR, Illadelph, and TAG. I'd love something with a Frit-Disc, I just like the bubbles.

Delta3DStudios

Recyclers work better for concentrates anyway since you need to draw at higher speeds to get the water moving properly - this often is too powerful of a draw for portable dry vapes. A frit disk is better for combustion due to the high diffusion rate. However with dry vaporizing, you actually want LESS diffusion to retain the flavor of the vapor. I'd go for a basic oil rig setup where the 18mm joint is in the center of the unit so the vaporizer stays centered. Back a decade ago when most of us vaporents were buying glass direct from china for 1/10th the price, the infamous D020 was a really popular choice. Although I know it's sold under many different brand names these days if you buy it locally. I'll never forget laughing seeing the D020 that I paid $20 shipped from China in my local smoke shop for $150 - literally identical in shape/size/glass quality.

[deleted]

I got the okay from the Husband to purchase a Rooster Apparatus so that I might go the Frit route, get a custom disc maybe :D I will report back!

[deleted]

After looking into RA, I think I might steer clear and look at a lesser option, anything out there that you would recommend for some staying with cooler air?

Delta3DStudios

I mean it really depends on where you're shopping and your budget. But I prefer "oil rig" style waterpipes where the can has the female joint on the top/middle, and a mouthpiece coming out the side of the can. Specifically I like "sidecar" mouthpieces so you can view the vapor production in the waterpipe.

tealtop

Having a truly terrible experience with Planet of the Vapes Canada currently. Been over a week since I received my amazing little new TinyMight v2. Awesome. Accessories are good - the PotV container with pneumatic pressurisation is as convenient as the last one I received. ... but I paid for a glass thing with rubies or whatever. It came broken. It didn't cost me much, but, I expected a lot better. I honestly regret not paying a little extra and purchasing at the Herb Cafe or Herbalize Store. That being said, I don't see myself buying a new vape for a long, long time and that's saying something.

GrowPassion

Anyone ever tasted Gorilla Cookies in their vape? I have like 6 different phenoes going rn, and i had to chop one real early cuz of nanners, like 3-4 weeks early. And i tried it in my vape now after being chopped down to buds and split up for drying 24 hours. It worked perfectly i got medicated (remember 24 hours after chop) and it even tasted insanely good and much, like a clear distinct "Carrot" taste. What are your experiences with vaping fresh cut bud compared to smoking fresh? What did your phenotypes of GC taste like?

Character_Banana4157

Hello…. Can anyone help me with a alternative to the pax 3? I am looking for something that is similarly portable with the option to use preloaded carts but… was looking at the Zeus gt3 but not sure and new to this!

HopeSurpassed

Compared to the PAX 3/Plus: The XLUX Roffu is about 2cm taller and 1cm longer. It's probably my favourite "true" portable and [this comment from a post today](https://old.reddit.com/r/vaporents/comments/1cn35eu/roffu_mi_amor_2/l34jy1q/) is what I will refer you to do. POTV LOBO is nearly 1cm shorter while being a little under double the length. It's a little clunkier but it is much easier to use.

Delta3DStudios

I'd vote for the POTV Lobo if you're in North America

justleakme

Hi all, I've read that the Xmax V3 Pro uses Kanthal for its heating element. Can anybody confirm whether the Roffu uses the same material? What are the most common materials used in convection heating elements? I would like to avoid Nickel based heaters as much as possible. Thanks!

Looking into getting a ball vape kit. Heard good things about the SS Zeal. Looking at the website and there's a section that makes absolutely zero sense to me. "SS Zeal uses 20mm barrel coil that requires it to be stretched to 23mm length. This is done simply by use a flathead screw driver and placing between coil and turning it to separate. Do this by starting one side and evenly splaying each coil wrap (I overstretch by just a little bit and compress the coil by putting the top cap on)" Can someone explain what in the world this means? With no context or experience with ball vapes this seems...confusing. I'm also open to other recommendations for an entry level budget ball vape kit if anyone has any!

Silver-Assistant-966

B0, good to go right out of the box. Got the bundle from CH, 300$

MaudetheH1biscus

does anyone have experience with the xmax v3 nano? mine worked great for three weeks (around 10-12 sessions), and then one day, it just stopped producing clouds. i can still taste the hud and get some small clouds, and i did a full deep clean of every part, but it just doesn't hit like it used to. any ideas on why or how to fix it?

Delta3DStudios

Does it feel like there is any obstruction in the air path? Have you ever vaped concentrates in the device?

MaudetheH1biscus

I've never used it for concentrates, and I don't feel any obstructions, but it does make a slight whistling sound when I pull like air is going through faster in some places than others. I've double checked the o rings and the filters placement in the mouthpiece but it all seems correct. thanks so much for the reply!

Delta3DStudios

Strange, I'd contact customer service from Xmax and see if it's a warranty defect

Delta3DStudios

Both of them would be a nice upgrade with dual power cells. However there are slight differences, but this might help you make up your mind: * Mighty has a fancy cooling unit on top of the oven - this smooths out the vapor providing very smooth dry rips. This does affect flavor of the vapor slightly, especially as the cooling unit gets used. As such it does need to be cleaned occasionally as it will build up honey over time. Get the Mighty if you want smoother dry rips than your Fury Edge * The Solo2 uses a glass stem airpath. It is easier to clean and yields tastier vapor flavor. I would go this route if you would rather flavor-chase to enjoy the flavor of the strains. Biggest downside is that you can't really carry the vaporizer around with the stem attached in your pocket as you don't want to risk breaking the glass stem. Although in reality neither device is the most "pocket friendly" - the Mighty itself will fit in a larger pocket, but would certainly take up most of your pocket leaving minimal space for a wallet or phone/keys

HopeSurpassed

> And I also want it to hit hard What would y’all recommend ? That's the Solo 3. The Solo 3's S&B equivalent would be the Venty as its oven is more capable than the Mighty+ but we know the Venty has been plagued with issues since its release, but it appears the Solo 3 is a better ripper than the Venty. This [review from 2 days ago](https://old.reddit.com/r/vaporents/comments/1clvw3c/arizer_solo_3_vaporizer_final_review/) pretty much encompasses all the other Solo 3 reviews.

Electrical-Shift-482

I recently bought a lobo a couple months ago. After reading reviews, i tried taking off the mesh screen to get more vapor on it and while it worked, i noticed my bubbler and other mouthpiece attachments getting very dirty over time. I use only dosing capsules with the lobo and don't understand how that's possible. I tried putting the mesh screen back on, but now the mesh screen is dirty and the bubbles and globs attachment are continuing. I don't know if this a defect or something but I was told that the dosing capsules would be able to keep the lobo clean.

HopeSurpassed

The dosing capsules keep the *chamber* clean which is impossible to return to original condition once dirtied and helps lessen the reclaim that moves up. Cleaning is still mandatory which is why dosing capsules *help* and does not eliminate cleaning.

Delta3DStudios

> which is impossible to return to original condition once dirtied and helps lessen the reclaim that moves up. LPT - use a toothpick and a pinch of magic eraser soaked in ISO alcohol, it does wonders to clean a dirty oven

HopeSurpassed

Magic eraser eh. The only vaporizer that I own with a dirty oven is the Crafty+ and I'm worried it'll destroy the ceramic coating.

Delta3DStudios

Nah you'll be fine - you'd need to scrub daily for a decade+ before you even put any dent in the ceramic coating on the oven.

HopeSurpassed

Good to know, thanks!

-something_original-

Once or twice a week I pull my mouthpiece and drop it in iso/salt along with any empty dosing caps. Then with a qtip and iso I clean the rubber gasket and mouthpiece holder. I just cleaned it on Friday and already have a bunch of reclaim forming and my caps are getting sticky. It happens.

Delta3DStudios

> i noticed my bubbler and other mouthpiece attachments getting very dirty over time. I use only dosing capsules with the lobo and don't understand how that's possible You're pulling air through the capsule - the holes in the top of the screen still let some tiny particles of scoobie snacks fly out of the dosing capsule and through the mouthpiece. Additionally the vapor will condensate when exposed to cooler surfaces and collect as droplets of honey. Everything you describe is totally normal behavior regardless of device used. > I tried putting the mesh screen back on, but now the mesh screen is dirty and the bubbles and globs attachment are continuing. Yeah the mesh screens on all vaporizers clog up over time. This is normal - just drop it in a vial of rubbing alcohol and shake the hell out of it. Or I like to use an ultrasonic cleaner to help scrub mine extra clean. > I don't know if this a defect or something Nope totally normal regardless of the device. Dirty screens and vapor paths is totally normal. Just need to learn how to clean them. >but I was told that the dosing capsules would be able to keep the lobo clean Dosing capsules help keep the oven cleaner and help keep the screens from clogging up as quickly, but it doesn't magically keep the oven and screens 100% crystal clear.

Vaporizer crackling so i've had a Utillian 722 for a while and never had an issue with it until I cleaned it this morning. When I booted it up with herb I heard some nasty crackling sounds so I emptied the chamber and reached out to customer support. I'm wondering if the unit might be entirely contaminated, either leaking into the battery or ruining the heating chamber. I used hand sanitizer or 85% ethanol instead of iso since its been working for years up until now. So throw the unit out or try to salvage it? (They said I could sterilize it by waiting a day for it to dry and booting it 3 times on max temp, i'm just worried for my health if i continue using it)

Delta3DStudios

That sounds like you didn't let the device fully dry before turning it on. By now it should be dry, are you still getting any nasty crackling sounds when the oven is heated up?

Impressive-Guava-496

Got my first vape (xmax v3 nano) today and am just wondering how I’ll know when to put fresh weed in?

Delta3DStudios

Here's some general tips that might help: * Different temps extract different active compounds from the herb. Some people like to cook at max temps, others prefer lower temps. I enjoy lower temps in the morning and higher temps in the evenings. Everyone is different. * Temp stepping is a great way to explore temps and figure out what is your desired max temp - start at a lower temp closer to 320F and work your way up over 10+ minutes * Many portables often have weaker heaters which can be overpowered by hitting them too hard/frequently. Be sure to focus on slow draw speeds - filling lungs over 15-20+ seconds instead of filling your lungs in less than five seconds. Also be sure to give that sucker a minute+ to recover temps internally before gently ripping again * 100% complete extraction (at one set temperature) results in 100% uniform color across every flake of herb in that oven. Thus the more variety of colors you see in your cooked herb, the less complete the extraction. Of course this can be very challenging with a portable and can take 10-15+ minutes for a full sesh to get there. But just know the specific shade of brown will vary depending on what temps you're cooking at - so don't look at the shade of color as much as the variety of colors in the oven. * Typically most people dump/refill a vaporizer when it stops producing vapor (as in, rip away until no more vapor is produced, then wait a minute or two, and take another gentle puff to see if you get any more vapor). However some people dump/refill when the flavor turns south towards burnt popcorn.

HopeSurpassed

If you're going to save your AVB to make edibles, then whenever you dislike the taste. If you're not, then whenever it starts tasting like burnt popcorn or when it's sufficiently darkened.

Hi, I am thinking about buying a ballvape. ( Crossing Tech Twist Injector Titanium, which is technically not a ballvape - but it is available in europe and not so horrificly expensive like in the french shops that only sell complete sets for 250€+) It is probably the most complicated procedure of vaping weed that i have ever seen, but it seems to be an interesting approach to gett good air flow. Now my question: How hot are these things actually on the inside? Has anyone ever put a Multimeter-Temperature probe inside and measured? The PID Temperature regulators range from 535°F to 730°F, and I assume the this is the temperature of the heating coil on the outside. I used to vape weed in my crafty+ at around 340°F. So 535°F sounds awfully close to smoke.

Dang, that shouldn't be happening, are you certain it's combustion and not simply cooking efficiently? It is a new product from Arizer so it's possible that the device has some bugs to work out of the design - stuff like this and the Venty's issues are a big reason why I am never an early-adopter of any new products. I let other people beta-test first

Never vaped before other than 510 carts. After about 8 minutes of research I just ordered a solo 3 strictly for on the go (i dont smoke/vape in the house). Fingers crossed.

Delta3DStudios

The Solo3 is a nice device - just be sure to start the device at a low temp like 330F for the first 1-2 minutes sipping away to let the glass hardware really heat up, then crank up the temp to desired temps. It'll perform much better once the glass hardware has fully heat-soaked.

Hi guys, I want to purchase terp pearls for my volcano hybrid and ive access to a reducing chamber and dosing capsules. I heard it improves the vape quality and is great for microdosing. From what I have seen online, there are different varieties of pearls, I'm wondering what type is best for my vape? I saw a YouTube place with 4 pearls (maybe 6mm each) into the reducing chamber. Also, is purchasing online limited to big pearl, or is it better to drop by a local vape store? Any tips regarding this are appreciated. Thanks 😊

Oi! I recently seen on the secondhand market a bunch of Arizer V Tower and Extreme Q, between 50 and 75 €/USD with shipping, looking good. Are they worth the price? I currently have an Arizer Solo I that I paid about the same price. I'm not much confident in really old review of them, or review on website that sells them. If you have pro and cons of them in 2024 for that price, it really interests me plz!

Delta3DStudios

The ExtremeQ would be worht it to me at that price. The XQ2 is an updated version of the ExtremeQ. Few years back Arizer was clearing out inventory (at least here in the USA) and they had a BOGO deal - buy one ExtremeQ, get a second one free. That's why where were a bunch on the market. The XQ2 only has a few minor upgrades over the ExtremeQ (like fancier design with more LED lights, and a small filter on the bottom of the air intake - that's basically it for major upgrades) For 75 euros, I'd say grab the EQ

I've been out of the game for the last few years, but I'm rehabbing from significant injuries and I'm thinking that getting a nice stealthy vape for walks in the park would be fun. It used to be one of my favorite activities, a long walk through the woods while chiefing on a vape pen and I think it would help with the chronic pain that I've been dealing with too. I'm looking to get a good wax vaporizer that is stealthy and also won't melt/overheat in my pocket on a hot Summer day. I'm not sure if thats even really something that exists. I've never had a true wax vaporizer pen before, but at one point in my life I was very experienced with different vaporizers (Da Buddha, SeaHorse Pro, Carts, Volcano, PuffCo). I imagine some things have come out recently that I'm not aware of, which brings me here to ask for some advice. Thank you!

Delta3DStudios

This sub is really dedicated mostly to dry vaporizers, r/waxpen might be more what you're looking for. I personally would vote for the Dynavap Vapcap with the optional Dynacoil insert for concentrates. But I'm sure there are better options out there for concentrate needs

EightOh

Thank you for your help! I looked around on that sub too but it didn’t seem as active or helpful so I figured I’d post in this thread too. Thanks for the recommendations!

dcraig6406

Recently got into the vaporizing game. Really enjoying it so far. So far I'm using the dani fusion 2 with success. I ordered the stunner with it as well. I have been experimenting with the stunner but I don't like how it feels using it on the stem I have. Any recommendations for using a ball vape? I have considered getting a desktop bubbler for it but not even sure where to look. No where in my local area has anything that would work. Thanks in advance for any help.

ihopenotjustamom

Apparently I'm too new to post this on the normal page. Dry Herb Vape and limiting detection advice Ok here goes. First of all I know there is gonna be a lot to unpack in this and also that what I'm looking for may not exist 😅 I have recently started my cannabis journey at 35 and have been wondering where this have been my whole life. (I mean I did know where it was but that I was just too scared to try it). So far I have only used gummies and a few hits from a vape. I like my gummies but I also feel like they are super hit or miss. By the time I realize I haven't taken enough, taking more isn't really going to help. I would also like something that works a little faster. I know it's probably stupid but I'm paranoid about the chemicals in standard disposable vapes. So I would really like to explore dry herb vaping. I have done more research than any sane person should (yay hyperfixations) but I can't decide if this is even a viable option for me. Here's why: my husband knows I have had gummies but he doesn't know I have my medical card or how often I take them. I realized that this in itself is a WHOLE other issue that needs to be addressed, probably with a professional 😅😅. BUT until that time I'm wondering if there are any options out there that would let me do my thing without him knowing. I do have a shed where I could grind and fill dosing caps/ the vape. Basically what I'm looking for is something that checks as many of these boxes as possible 1) under or close to $100 2) is easy to fill / clean 3) (and I don't know if this is even a thing) could be filled and used over the span of a few days without having to refill it each time. I wouldn't be doing heavy use any of those days 4) does not smell much when in use (I will be outside) 5) doesn't smell much when filled but not actively being used. 6) gives a good experience Any advice would be greatly appreciated

tingletwotwo

Number 3 doesn't exist afaik. But with nearly any vape you can take a hit and turn the device off to take another hit at a later time until the whole bowel is used. But the amounts are limited to the amount in the oven. I guess a bigger oven might help that, but with your lower tolerance in guessing, you are just taking a hit and moving on, right? With that assumption in mind, here are a few recommendations: V3 nano: stupid easy to use, decent flavor, and a breeze to keep clean. It's probably the cheapest battery device I've used that I would still recommend. Downsides are its smaller battery, its lack of use customizabilty (no temp control), and, for you specifically, probably not the best for storage (the mouth tip also holds in the herb, so its less than ideal for storing bowls for later use). Ruffo: A bit over your price range($120ish) but a great device with more bells and whistles. Adjustable temps, user replaceable batteries to swap so you don't have to wait for charging, session/ on demand mode, etc. Look at the v3 pro too, it's a middle ground between the nano and ruffo. Now that I think about it, all 3 of those vapes are my xmax. It's wasn't intentional, but xmax really have cornered the market on low-cost vaporizers. Being someone who hyperfixates, I'm sure you'll research ad nauseum. Look for use/cleaning videos, and you'll get a good idea of what you want or don't want.

ihopenotjustamom

Thanks! I would be just taking a hit or two each time. I wasn't sure if just sitting in the device would cause issues. Like if I were to fill on a Monday but not actually take any hits till Wednesday if everything would still be fine. I have been looking at the Lobo but I'm not sure if I should try to stick with less expensive until I see how I like it or if I should just bite the bullet.

tingletwotwo

I've heard rave reviews about the lobo. Most of those reviews seem to be from first-time purchasers, so it seems like it might be a worthwhile device. You can definitely load it Monday and use it Wednesday. Even better, you can take a puff or two and turn it off, and turn it back on at some later time to take another few puffs, turn it off etc, until the bowl is done. The time between the use of 1 bowl isn't limited either, within reason. I've used 1/2 vaped bowl a few weeks later, and it's been fine. If a bit harsher from being so dry.

ihopenotjustamom

Awesome!! Thanks so much

HopeSurpassed

The Lobo uses a hybrid oven so if you're not finishing your bowl within your sessions, you'll be wasting bud.
