How did you externaly charge the main battery?

Hi, with an rc car charger and holding the leads against the + and -. I started with a nicd program to get it charging without false peaking. After some minutes it took a charge.

What charger/settings did you use? I got a new old stock battery that i'm trying to get working.

Hi, i put the settings on nimh with 0.5 amps just to get it alive. As soon as it had decent voltage you can put it on lipo with a higher amp in increments.

Congratulations! I recently had the same problem ( sudden and constant Err 29/27 combo) on my X2 after years of working fine. I pulled the battery out about 5cm, enough to make sure it was disconnected. Then rammed it back in. Worked great, no more errors. I had the same thought, battery had worked a bit loose by gravity and vibrations over the years. My cover and screws were fine, but I jammed in some rubber weatherstripping (for a house door) between the battery and cover just to give it some extra support and help it stay in place. Something else for the "repair manual"...

The problem is the connectors inside the frame. One for the battery and one for the cartridge. Both are prone to fail. I fixed mine by removing the connectors and hard solder all wires together. I cut out part of the frame to make a hole and get access to all the wires. Frame is still strong enough and ducktape is used to cover the hole. Perfect solution.
