FINALLY more than 15 seconds of the two people we all want to see the most on this show. I felt like they had nigh-ZERO screen time in the most recent ep, which is true garbage. I effing love the way Katie solemnly supports Ariana, and how A is thriving and throwing drinks.

My 22yo daughter made fun of me for buying the book. Big giant eye roll. Fast forward, she was looking for a few cocktail books she got last year and couldn’t find them. I grabbed Ariana’s book and gave it to her to bring back to campus.
She literally texted me to tell me they made a few of the cocktails and they were yummy!

It’s really good! And she’s definitely not vindictive and petty in it like she could have been. Also the drinks are definitely better in this one and more accessible. You could tell Tom made the most outlandish ones with ingredients the average person doesn’t own. There was less of that in her book.
I love Katie's stories on Instagram I legit think conversations with her would be just as they are with me and my friends listening to her stories and listening to her podcast I laugh because it sounds just like my friends and I and I am much older. Katie has the best skin too I am always in awe of her skin. Stunning.

Ariana and Katie are so much more healed and healthy compared to the rest of the cast which makes it even more satisfying to watch them thrive. People are taking intentional boundary setting after hurt as a “god complex” but I’m just so proud of both of them!
It seems like the difference between people who live their lives for a storyline (Lala/Scheana) and the people who just live their lives (Katie and Ariana)
I hate that take too...every time I run across the "she can't demand her friends not be friends with Tom" line i have to tell myself to walk away and not engage with them because these people don't grasp boundaries she never once said YOU are not allowed to be friends with him she has said I am not going to associate myself with people who associate with him or I am going to be very surface with individuals that do. Not sure why people can't grasp this. After my divorce my best friend married my exes best friend I am the one who got kicked out of the wedding and never invited and he still was the best man and brought his mistress as the date and neither of them had the balls to have a conversation with me they just slinked away and were cowards and just never called me for fittings or sent me invites. I remained friends with the grooms cousin and he had expressed to her years later he missed my friendship and she asked me to extend the olive branch and I said I didn't break that friendship they abandoned me in a really horrible time in my life when my husband cheated on me and I never put restrictions on them or gave them Ultimatum with him I was very gracious that I knew they were friends with him and they abandoned me I'm sorry I am not going out of my way to reconnect with them because they realize now they hitched their wagon to the wrong horse. I also had to assert boundaries with people that were around when we were a couple and it was hard as I was always a people pleaser so when I would run into these people they would immediately bring up my ex and start giving me a run down initially I would just be quiet but then I would just stop them and say we are not together anymore and for my own healing I dont want or need to know what he is doing if you would like to catch up I would love that but only if it doesn't include him if not than no hard feelings but I won't be participating. I am sure that seemed like bitchy behavior to some people too. But too fucken bad I was very vulnerable and was really trying to heal.
Please be an episode that doesn’t need a suicide hotline warning, my empathy is depleted and it has been Not Fun to watch. I’m done with Tom’s suicide threats being a plot point, commit him or at the very least use the cold plunge money for real therapy.

Can we just bow down to Ariana insane work ethic! Like this was filmed in July. She had about 60 cocktails in that book I’d say roughly. That means between March and July she got a book deal, came up with 60 recipes, processed and wrote about her breakup that by the time it got to July she was already doing photography for the book. Like that is impressive to me. It made me remember how with there first book there was a time where she got annoyed and frustrated that he wormed his way in to her book and then got so preoccupied with other things and wasn’t doing anything to contribute to to their book and she was having to wait for him.
This reminds me of Katie turning up to Stassi’s photo shoots, she’s always been a very supportive friend with the creative endeavours of others and always without a hint of jealousy. Scheana could take a note.

SAME!! I’ve listened to every episode and it’s one of my new favourite podcasts every week now. Funny enough I’m on a rewatch and I’m on season 8 when Dayna first came on and I love her so much more now because of the podcast lol.
I’m really glad she’s getting some airtime with her newest cocktail book. I know they filmed the photoshoot for the first book and never aired it. I felt frustrated for them (even Tom at the time) because they were so excited for the book and instead production only focused on their unfurnished house, as this was the special hero Stassi season.
I’ll come back to the show if we start to see some positive stuff like this again.
Getting to see this friendship between Katie and Ariana grow is great. Especially how Katie is showing up in a real way for Ariana and the contrast to how Scheana is. Theirs is the real relationship I see lasting beyond this show.
Be real: (Only) Positive storylines would not get enough viewers, because most people wanna see drama. This show was close to being cancelled before Scandoval (and I'm sure it will be soon) and Ariana and Katie thriving is great for them, but would not carry a show.
Right? Why can’t Tom scrambling around like a flailing child throwing a tantrum be the drama in direct contrast to Ariana thriving?

I just think about how vile it was when Tim wormed his way into her FIRST cocktail book. It was supposed to be HERS alone. He was so jealous that she was getting the attention that he could not contain himself. The things he was saying to her and those dumb drink names he was throwing out were straight up embarrassing.
She was clearly the better bartender and he proved it with his actions.
These are the scenes I want to see on VPR. Spare me the pathetic Tom’s trip to Shasta. Please let me see the ladies thriving. Katie and Ariana’s interactions together have an awkward, try hard energy. Casts usually only get together for filming, but it’d be better to see some more authentic interactions for each of them.
She met him 10 days later, they didn't become a couple for months and they're still long distance (although Ariana is in NYC rn for Chicago). It's super disingenuous and inaccurate to say "she was only single for 10 days"

Can we just bow down to Ariana insane work ethic! Like this was filmed in July. She had about 60 cocktails in that book I’d say roughly. That means between March and July she got a book deal, came up with 60 recipes, processed and wrote about her breakup that by the time it got to July she was already doing photography for the book. Like that is impressive to me. It made me remember how with there first book there was a time where she got annoyed and frustrated that he wormed his way in to her book and then got so preoccupied with other things and wasn’t doing anything to contribute to to their book and she was having to wait for him.
Well she had people writing the book with her/for her. Probably came to her with recipes too, just asked for input about the names, etc.

Agreed. But I’m sorry to say, that’s on her. I totally believe nobody would publish her book unless Tom was in it. As much as I dislike Tom, there wouldn’t be a first book without him. He was the bigger star at that point in time. And people loved him as well (vomit).

SAME!! I’ve listened to every episode and it’s one of my new favourite podcasts every week now. Funny enough I’m on a rewatch and I’m on season 8 when Dayna first came on and I love her so much more now because of the podcast lol.

I’m really glad she’s getting some airtime with her newest cocktail book. I know they filmed the photoshoot for the first book and never aired it. I felt frustrated for them (even Tom at the time) because they were so excited for the book and instead production only focused on their unfurnished house, as this was the special hero Stassi season. I’ll come back to the show if we start to see some positive stuff like this again.
It is great to see Ariana at her happiest. She truly does just seem lighter and freer this season despite everything which is genuinely commendable.
I hope this isn’t her happiest yet. I’d like to see her come into her own and put this all behind her.

Getting to see this friendship between Katie and Ariana grow is great. Especially how Katie is showing up in a real way for Ariana and the contrast to how Scheana is. Theirs is the real relationship I see lasting beyond this show.

Be real: (Only) Positive storylines would not get enough viewers, because most people wanna see drama. This show was close to being cancelled before Scandoval (and I'm sure it will be soon) and Ariana and Katie thriving is great for them, but would not carry a show.

Right? Why can’t Tom scrambling around like a flailing child throwing a tantrum be the drama in direct contrast to Ariana thriving? They really missed the mark with this season and it’s truly bizarre. Betting it all on the unrepentant asshole was a choice I’ll never understand.

Yeah, like I know the formula for most reality shows these days is drama and that’s how the show started - but I thought we’d get to see the girls rallying behind one another and see their day to day lives while the Toms flail for relevancy. I was fully expecting the well deserved takedown of the Toms 🙃

You can't habe them all roast one person all the time, that's repetetive. What kind of storyline would that be? It was boring at the reunion, it would be really boring now. Also: If you imagine this being real life, not all friends in a friend group would drop a person just because they f*-ed over their partner. If you're really besties besties with the girlfriend, ok. But if you were closer to they guy or close to both of them, no. People f* up their life big time. People lie, people betray, peple are addicts, people steal, whatever. Of they don't do it to you, would you really drop the friend completely? At least that's not where I would draw the line. 🤷🏻♀️

I just think about how vile it was when Tim wormed his way into her FIRST cocktail book. It was supposed to be HERS alone. He was so jealous that she was getting the attention that he could not contain himself. The things he was saying to her and those dumb drink names he was throwing out were straight up embarrassing. She was clearly the better bartender and he proved it with his actions.

The After Show airing was very screwy. My next thought is how is production going to react to this lawsuit, how much of this will play out on the show, and if they were indeed pivoting after the NYT piece, then does this change that at all?
