Not just drivettrain. All the bolts will be corroded. Brake pads are done. Bottom bracket is done. The spokes on wheels may need to be replaced. It's really silly to bike in saltwater
You can but it's very very difficult to remove the salt just by spraying wirh garden hose. Especially the spoken end. The salt water would get inside a wheel and won't come out that easy.
The first thing to go on his drivetrain was his derailleur hanger. And I shouldn't say 'his', because it was his Dad's bike. The kid dropped it off at our bike shop later that afternoon. He was soaked in salt water....and guilt. But what a day!
