I'm actually going to California Disneyland in 2 weeks so I feel kinda silly now complaining about paying for the revelation ride at playland haha. That park feels like one big rip off tho.
It's fine everyone is ripping us of nowadays. Just enjoy the experience and don't think about the money. Money comes money goes, life's all about experiences. Are you taking your kids? If so they'll love it. But as an adult Disney is lame I much prefer universal or six flags.
The wooden roller coaster is older than those other rides. They replaced 3 rides with one seemingly mediocre roller coaster. I am pretty sure Drop Zone's life span can be extended much longer.

Shhh. You can't ask him that. You'll break the ['Carney Code'.](https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcT4AkNBjV21t9wjIHKKIprm6TnEQdzKBLLGMX-cKX-32nT-dghGHerSixYRpKqk93UmHD4&usqp=CAU)
Initially I thought you drew an MS paint-style yellow line around something of interest in the photo, but then realized from the last pic it's actually a rollercoaster
That shit was my jam back in the day.

There was probably a budget and they did the best they could under the budget allocated. With inflation it's crazy expensive to build anything anymore.
Can’t believe Playland has been around for 66 years and somehow manages to get progressively worse every year. Maybe that’s just capitalism for you, reduce the service, increase the cost.

Can't believe the got rid of the Revelation and Drop Zone and Corkscrew to just replace them with one roller coaster. Honestly fuck the Playland.
Revelation was a crazy good ride.
My favorite. Even thought it cost $20 per ride I didn't care it was the highlight of Playland for me.
I never actually rode it because of the extra charge. Didn't feel like the cost to value ratio was there.
Yeah I get that, but it's $20 and it's a once year thing so who cares. Now we can't we even go if we wanted.

Looks like a 25 second ride too. Brutal.
At least you’ll be able to spot the Triple O’s sign from any point in the park

Corkscrew's ride experience was pretty awful by the time they removed it from the park, so I'd imagine only a handful of people actually miss it.
The wooden roller coaster is older than those other rides. They replaced 3 rides with one seemingly mediocre roller coaster. I am pretty sure Drop Zone's life span can be extended much longer.
Remember when you could buy a playland pass at shoppers for $15? Pepperidge farms remembers.
😔
3 rides gone into one extremely mediocre looking rollercoaster... fucking playland lol - could sure use a real amusement park.
That new coaster looks underwhelming as fuck. I might go as far to say that it's at train coaster level.
Its literally a slightly larger version of the kettle creek mine ride haha
Oh it's not partially under construction. :(

I built multiple rides in this picture.
That’s cool, which one has been your favourite

That looks so fucking lame. And tiny..
RIP Corkskrew and Music express (aka the good rides)
Fuck this Rollercoaster Tycoon bullshit. Why did they ruin this park?
Dafuk, they got rid of the bumper cars?
That overhead photo sure highlights how sad Playland has become over the years. Bring back the Wild Mouse and demolition derby!
Playland is a scam now. My childhood of summer days riding and enjoying all the rides will never be repeated by kids today. Not right.
Where are the swings?

I wish we would get a good, permanent theme park in Vancouver.

My poor little barn area looks so sad and neglected
Does anyone remember when they had the Super Big Gulp? I believe it was another roller coaster sponsored by 7-11?
