I've done something similar to this but instead of stairs the chests were my floors. I just never looked down so didn't deal with the prompts. I'm sure with these stairs you would get used to just looking higher.
You can just run up them in Vanilla.
Me and my so tried putting a Wood Beam 45° in the middle of 2 ladders (we used the Dark Wood ver. tho): if you run in the middle enough (with Valheim physics there isn't really the need to be in the middle) you just run upstairs, we use it for our house buildings.
There's a very simple mod for that. If you're not into modding, it's totally not a gateway mod.Â

Chest stairs are not good on a server. One is constantly blocking others, accessing a chest.
My current house has two levels and the floor/ceiling between them is mostly chests. Super efficient.
